Still online with closed servers MS Pacific Rift

Timestamps in all PS3 games can be hacked via CFW. BUT (and it's a big but) the upgrade / downgrade process is complicated and can perma-brick your PS3 at any time. AND if Sony catches you connecting to the PSN using CFW, your PSN ID and console ID will be perma-banned.

If you're stupid, you don't check server closure dates and / or connect to the PSN via CFW. If you're smart, no-one will ever know.

I've noticed some profiles on this site who earned the mp trophies well after the servers closed on this so this shouldn't be possible. Anyone knows what's up with that ?

Upgrade to Premium and you can report all dodgy timestamps to clean them off the Leaderboards.

Most likely some people really wanted the trophies and created private server (i would do the same if some of my game gets shutdown servers) to get 100% completion, but i havent done that ever, its bannable if you get caught.

I thought about that the last days

Can you get Trophys on privat servers or has it to be a server from Sony to get the trophys?

You cant really create private server unless:

1) a game has features allowing you to do so (this one doesnt have them)

2) you're totally obsessed, have a lot of technical understanding/capabilities and you have nothing better to do for a couple of years

As far as I know #2 happened only once on consoles as its much more complicated here than on PCs (proprietary gaming network).

Sorry for bumping such old game thread but. How come the game is delisted yet the dlc is still available on store?

Sony aren't the brightest bulbs in the box but this a very common occurrence, because there are quite a few games out there that have either been delisted or lost their servers - yet still have their MP DLCs available even though you can't use them e.g. the PS3 version of Bulletstorm.

FYI Bulletstorm's DLC isn't online only- there is SP content as well. The only DLC I remember being strictly online and lasting for years was Army of Two. Since it didn't have trophies nobody really cared, but it was on the XBL marketplace...since the DLC had ach's people would still buy it only to find it was completely useless. I don't think it was delisted until a year or two ago.

You're right of course, I've just remembered that the Bulletstorm DLCs had some new Echoe Maps in them as well.

I see. Dunno if i should get it. Though it may be just wishful thinking of me that some day the servers get back. I really liked this game!

Nothing was delisted. The game was released only physically and the DLCs were fully usable in singleplayer. Not sure what you're talking about.

One of the two Army of Two DLC (the free one IIRC) had singleplayer campaign missions. They delisted it anyway, last year.

The one I'm talking about was like $7.49 and online only  (It was 600 MSP)

The Free DLC did have a couple added campaign missions
