Popular Post TsubakiCalamity
(Notes: This guide I have made was originated from Playstationtrophies.org forums. I decided to post mine here.) I happened to found an vital strategy I use to score 1000 coins. Even though you have two difficulty levels to choose from, I suggest you start playing on Normal difficulty to make it a little bit easier. Here's my strategy on how to score 1000 coins:1) At the beginning of the game, you can kill several enemies with the skull until the Woah Block (WB) arrives. When the WB arrives, pick it up but do not throw it yet. Go underneath the bottom platform and wait until several few enemies turn themselves to Eyeballs (the ones that floats and chases you slowly). When it happens, go safely to the top left or top right, and get close to the wall. When you're close to the wall, immediately throw your WB whenever you see a lot of enemies on screen or before they touch you. By the time the game changes its background to blue-sky, the difficulty goes up a little. Whenever you use this trick for the first time, it will take time to use to it. Once you get use to it, you'll easily score between 40-50 coins (or more if you took more risk on having more enemies) earlier in a quick fashion.2) After the background changes, you use the same strategy as you did at the beginning, but only this time the bottom floor burns out slowly. When you see the WB, pick it up. You'll either use bottom left or bottom right platform. Stay underneath the platform you're standing but be careful not to get hit by the mobs when they jump from the lava. Throw your WB whenever you see a lot of enemies on screen.3) By the time the game changes its background to night-sky, this is where bottom floor no longer exists. Also, the UFOs appears. My best advice is wait until the UFO destroys the two cracked platforms from left to right. As soon as both platforms are broken, this is where my vital strategy comes. After UFO destroys both platforms, my best advice is to destroy them asap, as you don't want to get saturated with mobs.4) Once both the platforms destroyed, I either choose left or right side (I personally pick right side). Whenever you see Eggs and/or skulls on the right, immediately pick them up and throw it to the left. The reason why I like to throw it to the left, because I can keep myself safe from being hit by mobs. Several mobs can be hit by exploded skulls, leaving some coins; however, it's best not to go after the coins immediately until it is safe or you have used the WB. When collecting coins, you need to be quick and return back to the right side (be careful not to fall in the lava). The reason why I say 'quick', because whenever you score much higher, the eggs and skulls pop up quickly. In other words, you need to throw the eggs and skulls to the left asap. If any enemy is on the right, try to kill it asap either with the egg or skull (skull explodes slowly, so it's best to use it; when no one is on the right, throw it to the left to avoid contact with explosion quickly). Like I said in step 3, if you see UFOs appear, you want to destroy them asap to avoid getting saturated with mobs. Speaking of that, this is another method on getting rid of Eggs from the right though it only makes one egg destroyed per hit on each new UFOs (they take two hits to kill), but it still helps. By the time you see the WB on screen and its safe, pick it up and use it (just make sure you don't misuse it, otherwise you're trapped with mobs on both sides), then collect many coins (all if you can) and quickly return to the right. Rinse and repeat until you score 1000 coins. It takes a while to make the use of my strategy properly. Practice, patience, and luck are your key points to win. You probably won't get it on your first try, but with enough practice you'll potentially win.I hope my strategy helps you out on obtaining the hardest trophy in this game. If you have any questions regarding about my strategy let me know. I have yet to record the footage on how it works. If someone else can record the video, I do appreciate. If I have an PS4, I can record it.Notes:I like to thank DisgruntledGent for the tip on defeating UFOs. DeadStanley
Just got my 1000 coin trophy and still shaking from it. I followed a similar strategy when I finally got the trophy. In spite of all the strategy though, I think the best piece of advice I can give is DON'T BE GREEDY! Just hang out on one side as described above and only make your move after clearing with a "WOAH" block. Sometimes it will take too long but if you just keep the area clear directly next to you and focusing on killing the UFOs your time will eventually come.

I played both. On deluxe I got 5.86 and classic 5.97 but eventually 3 or 4 ufos spawn at the same time and the Woah Block always spawns on enemy side. Its annoying as I cant do anything when it happens. I can get 400 to 500 consistently but after I die.

It's frustrating because it is slow to start, but deluxe mode is just too difficult to handle, though I'm sure it's not impossible.

I get further in deluxe because the boss every 200 coins gives you a break and a guaranteed Dave block, I got 7.42 on deluxe but died being greedy :/
rosst-canada
So is this trophy in one go or cumulative over multiple runs? The former seems insane, though the latter would be something I wouldn't mind chipping away at over a period of time. I like this game but I'm not looking to go pro or anything? AJ_Radio
My single best tip is to keep at least one platform from being lowered by the UFOs. I just did a run recently where I managed to get over 300 pennies (coins) before one of the UFOs destroyed the left platform. This game gets a lot more difficult and hectic if both platforms are destroyed. Things get a bit harder with one of the platforms destroyed but if you can managed to keep one of them up for most of your run then you have a pretty good shot at getting to 1000 coins. Probably a good idea to follow this video. Watch the run he does from 41:58 to roughly 58:20 into the video. He gets 985 pennies (coins) in this run and this is definitely pretty good. You have to be quick in this game, my main problem is I'm often not fast enough to get all the eggs and skulls on one of the platforms before I die due to the aliens hatching out of the eggs. It's very difficult, but far from impossible. For now I'm definitely taking a break from this game. Edited September 14, 2019 by Spaz
Ghobimon
I gave this game another go last night and managed to go 4.17$ on my first try on Bonkers mode, prior to this I only had played normal (pre-patch) mode, which makes me think 1,000$ isn't that hard. Sure speed is key, but you also have to get lucky enough to keep both platforms up. Which is why Bonkers helps since you get those Dave Blocks after the boss. Owell, maybe someday... Popular Post AJ_Radio
Just got the 1000 coins trophy, but here is some real advice. DO NOT PLAY ON BONKERS DIFFICULTY. Normal takes a long while to get going, but even at the maximum drop rate speed, the eggs will not hatch as quickly. I managed to get just under 900 coins on Bonkers difficulty after having a hell of a time getting everything to the right side using @greenzsabers strategy. Everything moves faster, and UFO spawn rate seemed to be more common than when I tried on Normal difficulty. I tested both difficulties and I can confirm the eggs will not hatch as quick on Normal. On Bonkers there is less time for you to deal with the eggs, which results in more death and frustration. Found that out the hard way. Good luck to everyone going after this trophy. It's still pretty damn tough.
