Popular Post Toxi Posted January 22, 2015 Popular Post Share Posted January 22, 2015 (edited) A little about my gaming experience... I currently own a PS3, PS4, Vita, WiiU, 3DS & Xbox One. I'll eventually get an Xbox One, once a couple of more games I'm interested in are available. I don't have a specific genre of games I enjoy more than others, but if I had to choose it would be between Survival Horror or Platformers. Some of my favourite games series' include; Silent Hill, The Legend of Zelda, BioShock, Persona, Mario Kart, Metal Gear, Donkey Kong Country & Resident Evil. I don't have any goals when it comes to trophies I'd like to reach 100% completion at some point this year, and with the games I have unfinished on my profile at the moment it should be an easy enough task. (will be impossible for the time being, thanks to Super Stardust Ultra now requiring PSVR to earn the 100%). It's been hard to keep up lately due to the addition of more and more dlc trophies, (also my inability to resist all things new 'n shiny doesn't help). Other than that I'll continue to only play games which appeal to me in terms of story/gameplay, I'm not interested in buying games just for the trophies whether they are easy or not, is irrelevant. The game makes great use of every feature of the Vita from touch controls to the camera, non of it feels forced and makes the game so much better to play. The lack of gameplay wasn't really a problem for me, it was more the story which I found to be extremely boring and hard to sit through at times. The story/voice acting/characters are all laughable by todays standards, not that any of it was especially great, even back then. Also this is Capcom so of course we are given another very lazy HD port. They did include a new control scheme, but being so used to playing games like this using the original 'tank' controls I never got around to trying them. (I've heard they're quite good though). Toxi Posted February 14, 2015 Author Share Posted February 14, 2015 #122 Akiba's Trip: Undead & Undressed I spent my final day in Tokyo last year visiting Akihabara, probably my favourite part of this game was the first 30 minutes exploring the places I recognised. As for the game itself I did enjoy it, the combat is clunky but fun enough. Nothing really stands out as being anything above average, although the dialogue could be quite funny sometimes. My only regret is that I didn't get around to playing this much sooner. #124 God of War III I'll start by saying I've never been a big fan of GoW, I find the games I've played in the series to be very overated. Similar games like Bayonetta, Devil May Cry & Lords of Shadow appeal to me far more in terms of gameplay and characters. Having said that I did like this more than I thought I would, and found it more enjoyable than GoW II, which is something. Another positive are the graphics, which still look quite impressive considering the games age. Gameplay wise it's the same old, solid enough and easy to play, it could of done with a few less QTEs though. Nothing much to say, just your typical sandbox game with a decent combat system. I probably would of enjoyed this a lot more if I had played it before GTA V.
