Mole17
The Warriors. Rockstar nailed it with the level designs based off the film. Getting chased by The Furies through the alleyways was so tense. And the game had co-op, really was a lot of fun.
Crispy_Oglop
Even though it's technically not based off a movie (it's a legit canonical story entry to the franchise set between Alien and Aliens) I thought Alien:Isolation was one of the best games from a movie universe. They had unprecedented access to the movie props, schematics and sound recordings from Alien which they used to lovingly weave into the game.

I wish there was a sequel to the movie, just so maybe there'd be a sequel to the game I remember playing Aladdin and The Lion King when I was kid, can't remember their specific console though. was about to say the same .. wanted on ps3 was great

DrBloodmoney
I feel an obligation to mention The Mummy Demastered. That game is based off the almost mesmerisingly atrocious Russell Crowe mummy movie, but is actually a very competent, cool pixel art rogue-lite with some good ideas and smart design. StrykerBR92
I'm pretty sure some one else already mentioned these, but: Peter Jackson's King Kong - best game with dinossaurs since Dino Crisis. Spider-Man 2 (PS2, 2004) Batman Begins
RadiantFlamberge
007 Quantum of Solace (PS3/360/PC) - A good FPS with third-person cover mechanics, some hacking, and an occasional QTE. There's even a flashback to Casino Royale. Also they actually hired the original actors to voice the characters. You would never see a game like this from today's Activision. Unfortunately, 007 Legends was a franchise killer.
Cthulu-72
Alien: Isolation- one of my all time favourite games period. I also liked the Wolverine Origins game a while back on PS3, hope the new one is gritty as hell (read some of the comics, he's even crazier).
