Cleggworth
I read somewhere that the speed run trophies had to be completed on normal difficulty or higher. Is this true? I was hoping to bomb through on very easy. The same thing apply to knife only/no save/invisible enemy playthroughs as well?
DracoRagnarok
I'm unsure the trophies can be obtained on easier levels, but you need to speedrun under 3 hours on normal or hard for the Inf Granade Lancher and the Samurai Edge for the weapon trophies. BSAA_Advisor
In order to acquire the Infinite weapons and trophy you must clear the game on Normal or higher under specified number of hours. Samurai Edge is under 5 hours and Rocket Launcher is under 3 hours. As for any other trophy, there should not be specifications like this to them.
TwilightSpira
You can get then at any level difficult, although you need to finish then in 3 hours also on normal or hard for the special weapons, thus Starsenal silver trophy

But, if you want to get Starsenal trophy, you need to speedrun the game in normal or hard difficulty. You need to speedrun in normal or hard mode to unlock infinite grenade launcher which is needed to get all weapons trophy and platinum trophy. So, you should speedrun in normal or hard to get all trophies.

CrimsonWarrior90
here a little trick if you messed up on time, you can simply reload from last save try again.
Dreamingtree41
here a little trick if you messed up on time, you can simply reload from last save try again. I apologize if "I step on any toes here". However, I disagree with what you have stated to a certain degree. On my first attempt at a 3hr or less speed run on normal difficultly, I finished at 3hr and 8min. However, I had 1 save in the underground compound; as well as, one right before the final battle with Lisa. I loaded the save right before Lisa, ran through the underground compound as quickly as possible, including not saving Chris, and using Barry's Magnum to 1 hit kill the final boss. With all that said, I only shaved about roughly 5 minutes off my time, and thus had to redo a second speed run (I finished in about 2hr 18min on my 2nd attempt). Also, I will point out that I saved probably 8-10 times during my speed run, which might seem like a lot to some of the gamers that know this game like the back of their hand. My point is that if you are going to only use a limited number of saves during the speed run, say 3-5, then the quote above is most likely correct. However, as I stated above, my clear time on my 2nd attempt was 2hr 18min and I saved roughly 8-10 times. Finally, I will point out though that during my first attempt, I had my game linked to residentevil.net, and every time I saved it took more time to upload the data to residentevil.net. Therefore, if your game is linked to residentevil.net, then I would highly recommend to turn off that option at during the speed run, which I did during my 2nd attempt at a 3 hr speed run.
Dark Layla
Hi, look that for the walkthrough Finish in 3 hours, no save !! This is in 9 parts. Amaterasu15
The problem is decorating step by step without looking at videos on youtube (that's my challenge) Well, here's some tips: you will have to play the game more than once to platinum it ( I got the plat in 4 playthroughs) so leave the speed run for last and memorize where you have to go and what items to get in previous playthroughs, try to get used to dodge zombies and go for the bad ending. You could watch some pro speed runners on Youtube too, it really helps to know where you can save time. Try to use only few saves (like 1 or 2 in the entire run). Bosses aren't hard just take the right weapon. I got mine with Jill on Real Survival 02:00:19.
