MMDE
Heya One of the tracks on the soundtrack reminded me of a melody in one of the band Summoning's songs. Anyone who knows which track I'm thinking about? It kind of bothers me. The soundtrack from the movie is not the same as the one in the game. I found the melody of it in Rango, though the melody I'm thinking about is just a very short piece of it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7lGox1Jpg3c#t=52 ^ Listen from 52nd second.
harsly
I'm one and a half years late but was this what you meant? LINK For some reason, some parts of the soundtrack remind me of Summoning too.
MMDE
I'm one and a half years late but was this what you meant? LINK For some reason, some parts of the soundtrack remind me of Summoning too. I don't think it is that track specifically, but it could just be the entire album. It's like I have heard the track many times before, but I got no idea where it's from. Edited May 23, 2016 by MMDE
PSXtreme_
Mostly it just reminds me of every other generic western saloon movie scene.

Well, what it reminded me of wasn't a western movie. More like the band Summoning. Reminds me a bit about this song, but probably entire album. Well, I'm speaking of some specific part of one song. The one linked in the opening. Please just click on it and what you'll hear isn't that typical western. Oh, as a little tribute to westerns. Enjoy! It doesn't get a whole lot better. Edited November 10, 2017 by MMDE
sheouttathere
Not sure if this is near what @MMDE was referring to - love that one also. This is such a great game, having played it on xb360 - but the music alone is worth a play through on ps3 (if I didn’t just wake up this a.m. and hunt for it on youtube). Had to find a place to share this one short piece. ?
Helyx
No jokes, but I'm getting some System of a Down vibes from the melodies @MMDE & @sheouttathere posted. I just started playing Rango today, so I'll listen closely and see if I can draw additional parallels.

Summoning makes music inspired by Lord of the Rings. Edited August 1, 2020 by MMDE
