RedEye420
Glitch: Hoarder/other counter in "Trophies" menu doesn't match amount of collected items in "Collectibles" tab of "Inventory" menu. SOLUTION: Identify glitched item and re-collect on a new character. This can be done at any time. Either during collection or after all collection (60/61 glitch). Workarounds: For glitched items located in areas not accessible at start of game + tips for identifying which item is glitched if you weren't keeping track. Glitch: Okay guys. I got the collectible glitch while collecting in Riptide and I fixed it immediately and easily without having to lose any progress or repeat any completed steps or use any of my backup files. You do not have to re-collect all the collectibles. You just have to re-collect the item that didn't count on the Trophy counter when collected. In my case, I had 29/61 on Hoarder and 29 items listed in my inventory. I had been keeping track after every collected item to make sure that it was being counted on the Hoarder counter in "Trophies" menu. I collected the 30th item and my 50% collectible trophy popped, but Hoarder still said 29/61. I double checked my inventory and indeed I had 30 collectible items listed in inventory. I collected one more item to make sure the counter wouldn't fix and indeed, after the 31st item collected the counter was at 30/61. I was glitched. If I collected the rest of the items I would get stuck at 60/61 despite collecting all items. SOLUTION: Since I knew exactly what item hadn't been counted, it was very easy to fix. I simply started a new game, sped through the prologue and asked a friend to invite me to her game (the collectible item was in Henderson and I didn't want to play through the game again). To try and avoid glitching any trophy hunter friends' files, I specifically chose a friend that doesn't try to get all the trophies because I knew she hates collectibles and doesn't go for them . I joined her game and ran to the glitched item (Postcard #8), collected it, and my Hoarder counter went up to 31/61. Then I thanked her, quit the lobby, and re-loaded my main character. Now my counter says 31/61 and I have 31 items. I collected the rest of the items and got all the trophies without issue. This would also work after you have completed the game. Just create a new character and find a way to collect the identified glitched item and your trophy(ies) will pop. Workarounds: A: Item not reachable at start of game: "But RedEye, my item is in Henderson. I don't want to play through the game to that point." Have no fear my dear. As stated above, if you have a friend that has a spare character towards the end of the game (or doesn't care about trophies), just join their game after the prologue and collect in their lobby. The game will warn you about story spoilers but it will allow you to join (as long as they have the same version. 1.4 and 1.5 are BS!!!!!). If you do not have any friends you can get more dastardly I suppose. The dastardly approach, you sneaky fox, is to create a new character, speed through the prologue, then re-load your main character. Check the Game Lobby for other players who have similar progress (Chapter 12 Dead Town is ideal). Start adding these players on PSN. When someone accepts your Friend Request, quickly re-load your new character, and go back to Game Lobby on new character. Select friends tab and join the random player. This approach may require some more finagling and possibly some cooperation if the joined player isn't in the right town, but that's what you get for being dastardly. Regardless, any of these options are easier/faster than re-collecting all 61 items. B: Glitched Item Unidentified: This one is a little more tricky but you have some tools at your disposal. There are multiple lists you should be checking after each item you collect to verify they are being counted properly. First are the counters in "Trophies" menu. There is a counter for Hoarder (100%), The Collector (50%), as well as counters for News Junkie (all voice recordings), Professional Tourist (all guide book pages), and Mystery Solved (all secret files). You should be constantly checking all these counters and making sure they are matching your totals in the Collectibles tab of the Inventory Menu in the Select screen. If you weren't doing your due diligence, your job will be much harder but use the process of elimination. If you are lucky, you will be missing another corresponding trophy such as a secret file trophy so you can just focus on collecting all the secret files. It is possible that you might have to re-collect all 61 items if you really can't identify the glitched item but you should be able to use the counters and inventory lists to help eliminate unlikely suspects. If you have all other trophies but no hoarder trophy, start with collecting the items that don't have their own trophies (diaries and postcards). Good luck with your guys! Glitches are super . RedEye420
No problem! Good luck fixing the glitch. If you know which item is glitched it should be quite easy to get if fixed. Also, welcome to the site! I'm honored that your first post was in this thread! Have fun with your gaming and enjoy yourself around here.
rmgooner
Can you play on the game file that you've collected 60/61 to retrace your steps to see which collectable you are missing? Or must you go into another game or new save to go about looking for which collectable you missed?
