Popular Post soniq
I have been playing the arcade collection for a few days now and I can't remember the last time I have regretted spending €3 on something so much. This game is a fucking joke. Seriously, whoever implemented that difficulty system was either a master ninja or a master troll. I don't feel like it has anything to do with skill, it's just a matter of how patient you are before either giving up or smashing your controller. The AI always seems to know my next 3 moves and reacts to everything flawlessly. So far I've only managed to reach the second to last regular fight (before the bosses) by playing as cheap as possible and a lot of luck. Anyone who maybe has some good tactics for this? I know there's a trick with Liu Kang and a turbo controller where you just constantly hold down low kick on rapid fire, but I don't really want to spend that money just to beat this game. Then there's also the tactic with Jax, where you jump in with a high kick and start spamming block to grab the enemy in the air, but my enemies hardly ever jump. And if they do they also shoot projectiles which always seem to hit me. This game is so frustrating and the controls so clunky and unintuitive. Maybe it has something to do with me being more of a Street Fighter guy, but now that the violence in these three games isn't anything special anymore it shows that that was the only reason people were playing these games back in the day (me included). edit: Finally beat it. Took me around 2 hours to beat the final 4 combatants including Kintaro, but could beat Shao Kahn easily with a double flawless victory by abusing Kitana Fan Lift and Fan Throw. I guess venting a little bit helped, but it doesn't change that these games are among the most frustrating and unfair games I have ever played. BeautifulTorment
Pretty sure this game is just a collection of ports and the 'difficulty' setting was added as a placebo for current-gen gamers. It is meaningless and frustrating, yes. Good luck finishing it up though
soniq
No, the difficulty setting works. If you set it to Medium or Very Hard the AI will be even more brutal on the very first fight. ^^
MMDE
At least it's not Mortal Kombat Advance: Absolutely terrible game. I get my ass handed to me until I discover a very cheap trick with Sindel, which makes me flawlessly beat everyone up to a certain enemy, and there I just give up, because it seems near impossible to beat. It is meaningless and frustrating, yes. Good luck finishing it up though I always thought this was the case. Haven't done it on PS3 yet, but on the 360/PC it never felt like much had changed. soniq
At least it's not Mortal Kombat Advance lol, that looks terrible! I should thank my parents that they didn't buy me Mortal Kombat on the original Gameboy as a kid. That looks even worse.
Vaynard82
Lol I actually used to like the original GB system back in the day. I know I would hate it now though but as a kid I loved almost anything.

This is how I felt about Marvel vs Capcom Origins, Marvel vs Capcom 2 (original and HD), and Spelunky.
