No particular order here, plus it's just some (My memory is pretty poor at the best of times), I'll list my favourite 3 songs for each band too

  • Nightmare (Mad Black Machine, Alumina, Tokyo Shounen)
  • D (Tightrope, Danzai no Gunner, Birth)
  • the GazettE (Vortex, Red, Invisible Wall)
  • Crush 40 (What I'm Made Of, Never Turn Back, Live and Learn)
  • Granrodeo (Modern Strange Cowboy, Trance, Dark Shame)

  • Garbage
  • Red Hot Chili Peppers
  • Daft Punk
  • John Frusciante
  • Atoms For Peace
  • Jimi Hendrix
  • Louis Armstrong
  • David Bowie
  • Queen
  • OutKast

The definitive list would probs just be the top five there, but I included the others for the sake of it. There are other usual listens that I might've added, but I'm either still getting into them or just don't feel vibes as well as the others; he usual stuff.

Nirvana
Edit:

Muse

Skambankt (Norwegian hardrock band)

*Got many other bands in my music list too, but I don't consider them as "favorites"

I could list 50 bands but instead I'll try and narrow it down to my top 15.

1. Pixies (It will always amaze me how they managed to release 4 of the best alt rock albums in a span of only 4 years)

2. Bad Religion (I think Against the Grain is the single greatest album ever created)

3. Metric (Great band from Canada. Emily Haines is probably my favourite female vocalist)

4. Dead Kennedys (I'm sure 99% of punk fans will list Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables and Plastic Surgery Disasters as two of the best albums of the genre)

5. The Gits (Made two very good albums before some piece of shit murdered Mia Zapata)

6. R.E.M. (Up there with with the Pixies as one of the quintessential alternative rock bands. Murmur is a masterpiece)

7. Against Me! (One of the few punk bands that didn't start to play shitty music as they transitioned to more radio friendly stuff.)

8. Propagandhi (Canadian band based in the greatest city in the world, Winnipeg. May not be the most well known punk band but anyone who likes the genre should definitely check them out)

9. Weezer (Pinkerton is one of the best albums I've ever listen to. Unfortunately I am not a huge fan of their newer stuff.)

10. Rammstein (One of the few metal bands that I actually listen to. Started learning German just so I could understand their lyrics.)

11. Descendents (The band that got me hooked on punk music. Will always have a special place in my heart for them.)

12. Sublime (Another very good band whose lead singer died way too early.)

13. Alexisonfire (Watch Out! was my favourite album through high school)

14. The Doors (Strange Days is in my opinion one of the best albums ever.)

15. Simon and Garfunkel (Ever since I watched The Graduate I have loved these guys.)
