Any good Extinction solo builds/strats?

Hey ya'll.
I am going for the extinction trophies in Ghosts and there are some that I am pretty sure will be easier to do on my own; namely the search the loot crates, 40 trap kills and the 12 challenges ones. I was just wondering if you had any good solo builds or tips I could implement? Was thinking about going online to do it but I haven't a mic so almost pointless trying unless I'm just going for getting to the end.

My advice... Get a mic and a reliable group. Way more enjoyable. I've played by myself and never make it far. You need to make it to the final area to scavenge 40 items. It can get tough solo. Challenges too can be tough alone. Nevermind the fact that once your downed its game over.

False. In solo you have the self revive. Furthermore, you get one more after you reach the next level, meaning you have three self revives when you get to the final area.

For the tips, maybe im too late, but being an expert now on solo (i completed it like 20 times by now on solo with all platinum escapes), here's some:

  • Use automatic turrets; it is very useful when the time comes to challenges with accuracy. Furthermore, the aliens will attack, most of the time, the turret first instead of you or the drill.
  • Activate the trap, especially in the second area. Place the turret near the traps can help too, by decreasing the chance of being destroyed by aliens.
  • Instinct bestial or armor? Armor definetly. If somehow your life gets too low, drop an armor and it'll give the time to your life to increase.
  • Because you have armor as booster, i suggested you take, as your class, the weapon specialist. Indeed, having "fast reloading" and "50% more damage" for your bullets is really geat, and the best for me. Also, if you buy with your theeth the kickback related for the weapon specialist, you get like insctinct bestial for a short period of time
  • The hardest part, or the only hard part, is the last nest. Put your double turrets in the water and stay always near the trap activation, to reset it of course. That way, you wont have to run 100 meters to re-activate it, and meanwhile, loosing a turret because of an alien, and going back in the water to put an other turret, etc. Its too crazy when you are alone. Just stay near the trap activation and focus on killing the scorpions first.
  • And drop shield wneh you see your life is at middle

For the escape, nothing to hard. Just run as far as you can go, then stop and kill what the helicopter didn't kill yet. Drop turrets in your way is a good idea too if you have enough money.

Well if your planning on doing this on point of contact here is the loadout i run and i always get zero downs and a platinum escape with it.

Class:Engineer,if you have double class than also run weapon specialist.

Pistol type:Anyone will do except for the MP443,though i mainly suggest the 44 magnum due to damage and acrausy (i spelled that wrong but im on my vita and opening a tab to google it is out the question or ill have to start all over).

Ammo type:Incendiary,of course if you have cryptid slayer ammo than of course use that ammo.

Team support:I highly advise armor.

Strike package:Sentry gun

Equalizer:Grenade Turret, there is a glitch called the meteor glitch/barrier glitch look it up on youtube, this glitch nly works at the end of the level,it helps to to get a platinum escape each time with ease.

This is my setup for hardcore solo and here a few tips.

Tip 1:Upgrade your armor from the getgo to level 3.

Tip 2:Upgrade your sentry gun to level 3.

Tip 3:Upgrade your class to max.

Tip 4:Upgrade your sentry gun to max.

Tip 5:Upgrade your ammo to 3-Max.

Tip 6:If able than fully max out your armor.

That is the order in which you should upgrade everything and i kinda expect yoj to have the start with a skill point upgrade.

Here is a loadout for regular difficulty.

Class:Engineer, and if you have double class than get either weapon specialist or Medic

Pistol Type:Same as my hardcore suggestion.

Ammo type:Same as my hardcore suggestion.

Team support:I still suggest armor but since this is regukar difficulty you can run feral instinct,if you do run feral instinct than i suggest doing the lol glitch.

Strike package:Same as mh hardcore setup.

Equalizer:Same advice as my hardcore setup.

For this setup i suggest you upgrade your classes first than your armor followed by your sentry gun nd finally your ammo, than your pistol.

And i greatly suggest you take all of Bunshing advice which is why im not repeating it,i would just carry through the game and help you get all the trophies that can be done with 1 or 2 people but sadly my controller is out of commission.

Good luck.

Edit:I almost forgot always put 1 skill point in your pistol so you can run faster on your way out, always run to he exfil chopper with your pisol out.

Just use tank and riot sheld along with an m27 extinction isn't hard -source 3000+ escapes

i might not have 3000+ escapes but im noticeing one major flaw with your setup and that is the fact he will most likely run out of money for the m27 and if he gets surrounded he will get greatly screwed trying to fire that close to himself and will recieve damage.

the setup i suggested  will allow him to keep making mkney back to back and he will rarely have to fire his gun at all or worry about getting surrounded,as a matter of fact he can pretty much just sit back and ket the traps and sentry guns do all the work not to mention it will vreatly reduce bis difficulty to do challenges.

i greatly hate the ps vita keyboard it prevents  me from just going back to edit the words i slightly messed up the spelling on due to the touchscreen and my fingers slightly hitting the wrong letter.

Also if im wrong about the money than my bad.

You're way is perfectly fine i just tossed him another easy way that's what i liked about extinction you have thousands of ways to play. As for the money he'd be fine no matter which way unless he used the relic.

And if he has double class...??? Come on people. Your giving tips thinking he is a pro or something. If he gets double class before scavenging 40 items that's a laugh.... Lol

Didn't know about the self revive. When did they add that? It wasn't there from the beginning was it? Cause I've never been revived playing by myself.

i hope your not talking about me because i did suspect he hadn't double class B)

And yes the self revive does exist, for a long time i think... (well, i started to play solo 2 weeks ago, so i dont really know when it started  :( ). Instead of choosing custom game, and starting the game without to invite anybody, just choose the option "solo". If it suggest you "One player recommended" than you are really on solo and the self revive will be there.

The logo of the self revive, if you haven't checked yet, appears just at the left side of the life bar. Once you arrive at the next village, the self revive quantity increase of 1.

hmmm..

I was. and anybody else who would suggest stuff for more experienced players.

i dont see anything in my post talking about second class and stuff reserved for experencied players, but in the opposite: tips available for beginners, that experienced players already know. I have difficulty to understand your point of view, because afterall, a tread in a forum is habitually to share, not only with the host but with the community. I still think what the others said was pertinent.

Was thinking about going online to do it but I haven't a mic so almost pointless trying unless I'm just going for getting to the end.

the mic is not really necessary. I have a mic but i pratically never use it. Sure it helps, but the chat is an excellent alternative way that i use more often.

But it's preferable to play with people you know, or think you'll be in good terms if you want to get serious.
