I've played games for a long time and I've devoted far too much time since the discovery of this website to chasing trophies - although I still enjoy playing games, obviously. Reaching the milestone of 50 Platinums recently I decided it was time to add a bragging thread in here detailing all of my trophies since the more I get the more I realise that's it's quite an achievement, even though it pales in comparison to some of the other checklists that are in this section. Looking at the list below you may notice a certain point where I really started trying to get trophies. Since trophies were a thing I did try to get them, I would often buy PSN games purely for the sake of that, then get two or three and not bother beyond that. Since PlayStation Plus became a thing and gave me more games than I know what to do with this is less of an issue, and it gives me a nice break in my trophy-hunting if I want to try something different. Regarding Platinums and 100%s, I had originally planned to do two posts to open the thread, one for each, but I figured I spent the same amount of time playing non-Plat games, so why shouldn't I include them with the rest? The 100% trophies in my list are either the rarest trophy for that game (so the last one earned) or the gold/one signifying regular game completion, whichever has a nicer name/icon. I've called this thread The Century Quest because, as you might imagine, I want to reach 100 Platinums. Given that it's taken me ~6 years to reach 50 it would seem it'll take me a while, especially since I'm not going to play easy games, or at least go out of my way to play easy games for the sake of the trophies. Terminator Salvation was the first Platinum I got, I wanted to see what it was like, and the internet at the time seemed bemused by it having 11 gold trophies or whatever it is. Although some of the PS+ games that are in the list are ones that I've only played for trophies ("What do you think, Zach?") the great variety in genre there does make it feel like less of a grind. There's games I would have never even heard of never mind considered without +, so the variety should keep this quest interesting. (The Century Quest was a terrible name. So as of July 2016 I've changed it to be slightly more honest.) I'm not sure what else there is to say about a list like this. If you have a look through my profile on here you can see what games I still have to play (I plan on playing and finishing pretty much all of the things there at some point). As I finish games I'll post updates in here. If anyone cares they can judge the trophies I have currently and see if I'm any good (there's a few UR Platinums so I guess that's something) and if you have nice things to say or questions to ask, I'll do that. Today, a victory for spell checkers everywhere with Platinum number 52, Dead Space: Concodrance Officer Collect All Trophies There are trophies on this site whose rarities surprise me. I am very surprised that nearly a fifth of the people whose PSN profiles are on this site were able to play through this on Impossible difficulty. I look forward to 2 which is allegedly even harder. Anyway, 100% number 28 is almost Ultra Rare, Hamster Ball: Vermin Champion Get Watermelon Award in all Trial Mode levels. PSN 100% number 29 is one of the recent PS+ games, Tower of Guns: You've Played This More Than Joe Has Finish a 100th run PSN 100% number 31 is another of the recent PS+ games, The Unfinished Swan: Minimalist Reach the Watchtower without throwing more than 3 balls. Blame Dishonored for being really boring. And blame Zero Punctuation for me reading the name as Dish Oh No Red. Anyhoo, Platinum number 55 is Just Cause 2: Winner Takes All Earn all the trophies. Anyhoo: Platinum #56 was a large angry bald man killing lots of stuff and a lesson in the downside of immediacy regarding the internet, in God of War III: King of the Hill Unlock all trophies - WWW.SPARTANSSTANDTALL.COM Platinum #57 was a large angry bald man killing lots of stuff, but not quite as much stuff or quite as interesting stuff as before, in God of War: Ascension: Champion of the Gods Unlock all Trophies A special mention too for trophy number 4,000 which would have been a more impressive individual achievement had I completed it before they patched it to make it easier.
