My goofy kid turned 5 on April 28th, I had him young and I've done everything in my power to make sure that he has a good life. At one point I worked 4 jobs and lived in my truck for a few months so I could have enough money to support him without getting on government assistance. When I turned 21 I applied to where I work now, got in the academy and I now have a great career where I can retire in less than 23 years and not worry about money anymore. A lot of the time people are too scared of what others think to truly express themselves or to drive towards something they want - I don't want my one guaranteed life to be like that. Don't be afraid to make mistakes, don't be afraid to tell the people you love how you feel, don't be afraid to be vulnerable, don't be afraid to speak your mind and don't let the fear of others stand in the way of what you want. In my mind, if I make a complete fucking fool of myself in front of people, I'll be dead in 70 years and everyone who saw the incident will be dead as well. So, in 70 years it's as if me looking like a dumb fuck never happened. Experiencing as much as we can because ultimately life is about seeing and doing as much as you can in the small amount of time you have. Life is short so I don't want to look back and have regrets.
