Today on YouTube Telltale Games revealed a new miniseries for The Walking Dead, and it stars Michonne, the ruthless, katana-wielding woman who's been with Rick Grimes' crew in the comics for the past 10 years. The Walking Dead: Michonne is coming to Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PS3, PC, iOS, and Android this fall, and you'll need to own at least the first episode of The Walking Dead: Season Two to access the Michonne miniseries. Check out the first image below, along with more details on its story and characters. The story for The Walking Dead: Michonne "explores her untold journey during the time between issues #126 and #139," Telltale Games explained. This puts the beginning of the three-episode series right at the end of the All Out War arc, in which Grimes' crew finally overcomes the despicable Negan. Notable comic book characters seem likely to make an appearance, with Telltale stating, "Players will discover what took Michonne away from Rick, Ezekiel, and the rest of her trusted group...and what brought her back." Series creator Robert Kirkman added, "In many ways, Michonne herself is a reflection of the world of The Walking Dead. She is brutal and cold on the outside, but deep beneath what is broken, she remains hopeful, trying to claw her way out of the darkness that surrounds her. In our effort to bring the world of the comic and the world of the Telltale series closer together, there is no greater character than Michonne to help bridge that gap." Negan ain't coming brother Shogun, we first got the wolves to deal with. Probably season 7 finale we may hearing something about Negan. Can't say I care that much about Michonne though... and I was really enjoying that the games told a different story than the comics and the TV show. Wouldn't have minded them staying separate. Is there any indication that this mini-series would have any impact on the Telltale game series thus far? Michonne interacts with characters from the game? I would assume not, but it's all the same universe right? And canon? And set in largely the same state of Georgia. I haven't seen what happened next for a example of when the character was trapped in the bus scene. Although some characters made a appearance, not all of them was there.
