"Saving Profile" problem

So I haven't really seen this being mentioned (and if it was, I apologize) but can having the game on both the PS3 and PC fix the issue where the game would be saving all the time and if you press pause, it wouldn't let you keep playing unless you quit. Currently, the only way I've seen to fix this, if you only have the PS3 version, is to play without internet. The reason I bring this up is because this seems to be the way to fix being able to play online co-op with others. I'd definitely appreciate the help.

Not signing in to PSN when you are playing Portal 2 is the only option so you won't see "saving profile..." ever again.
