Popular Post ZeroXOF
Square Enix announced the latest Dragon Quest game, with the Minecraft-like “block-make RPG” called Dragon Quest Builders: Revive Alefgard for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita. Dragon Quest Builders is set in “Alefgard,” which is actually the name of the geographical setting of the very first Dragon Quest game. Alefgard has been desolated by the Dragonlord, and it’ll be up to you to revive its land. Square Enix: No.... it's inspired from Minecraft. Microsoft: I'm also inspired too. Guess what? I have a exclusive for you! Square Enix: Oh yeah, what's it called? Microsoft: It's called "Lawsuit" and it's coming exclusively to Square Enix! ZeroXOF
Interesting. Maybe this bodes well for Dragon Quest XI being on the PS4? I do hope so, probably hard for SE cause they probably don't know what platforms they want to put it on next.

Square Enix: *Dun Goofed Face* I would love to see Microsoft somehow convince itself it has the right to sue anyone making Minecraft-inspired games, considering that Minecraft itself is derived from an earlier game titled Infiniminer developed by a completely different person. Not that hypocrisy would be new territory for Microsoft or anything. Edited July 8, 2015 by damon8r351

I doubt MS cares because this will fade into obscurity quickly if it has no difference to MC. Thanks for the brief history lesson, it's quite interesting to know Minecraft wasn't the first building blocks game. Square Enix: *Dun Goofed Face* If that's the case, then Minecraft should have gotten sued by Tetris, although who own Tetris is a mess all in itself. After all, blocks are blocks! I think the theme works well and is distinct enough to differentiate itself from Minecraft. Plus, it makes sense when you look back at how the first Dragon Quest (Dragon Warrior for those in my parts) looks with it's block-y 8-bit graphics. I still have my NES cartridge, I should dig it up and see if it still has my saves.

I think the game looks like 3D heroes with a bigger budget. I hope more news comes sooner.

ShadowStar83x
Looks cool, but like most Dragon Quest stuff, doubt it'll make it west. Might have to make a Japanese PSN account. Edited July 10, 2015 by ShadowStar83x

ShadowSigmaX
Bring more Dragon Quest to the west!!! I remember my first Dragon Quest game was Dragon Warrior Monsters for GBC, and after that was Dragon Quest VIII on PS2. Played the hell out of it back in the day and played them all now since then except for VII.
starcrunch061
Interesting. Maybe this bodes well for Dragon Quest XI being on the PS4? Nah. That'll probably go to phones. But, with that being said, I have excitement for this. Give me more genres with classic RPG skins.
