Anyone who wants to join, you may use this sign up thread, until it is closed. If you want to send an enquiry after that date, send me a PM or consult this thread here. Anyone who invades the We Play thread breaking this simple request will likely be added to my ignore list and effectively banned from all future playthroughs, this also includes anyone who puts spoilers in the thread, beyond the point we've played up to.

This is the sign up topic, the actual topic will be full of spoilers etc so i'm keeping them seperate.

Hey guys I'm Superbuu3, not sure if people know me, but i'm relatively new (still less than 6 months here >_>) to the forum.  As I and many of us have a huge backlog to improve motivation being able to play at the same time and discuss with people should help move things along.  I'm considering putting up some gameplay including boss fights and cutscenes so people who can't play can give there input on the game to.

If you want to see how this works in practice we already have done Okami which you can see here and Bioshock is running currently here. Check the We play subforum there's loads now.

Why sign ups you may ask well we're going to be starting in a few days and I thought would be nicer if we have a group of us if possible.  I know a lot of people have difficulty getting into a game or struggle to finish for various reason I thought this would be a good idea to motivate.  If you signed up i'll send you a reminder if need be, I also think if you commit to the topic you'll be more likely to follow through on keeping up the pace.

This will be starting during the first week of August. If you don't want to go for the platinum no one is forcing you to, essential info for a platinum run will be explained in the opening post for the topic.

PS: No limit to how many people want to join.

Guidelines:

1. We only play up to the agreed milestone, I think if we leave people behind the group will fall apart, if people fall behind we will continue, but i do hope he others will try to keep up.

2. If you do meet an agreed story milestone, try to focus on any collectibles, checkpoints will be closer together for this.

3. Let us know in the thread if you meet a milestone so we can tell if everything is running smoothly, if you're having trouble with a boss or particular enemies try to ask in the thread first before consulting a guide, this is mainly to keep the talk on the game still open.

4. If you have any suggestions I'm completely open to them.

Estimated starting Date August 1st to 8th.

No one is expected to go for the platinum and the checkpoints will only really be in place for the inital run, unless you guys request it, I can put a different structure for the following

This will start some time next week, I have pushed it back slightly due to a request.

Currently we are also doing sign ups for DMC trilogy, do feel free to check it out as soon we will be starting DMC 3 sign ups here. Resident Evil Revelations 2 sign ups located here.

FAQ:

Can I join if I beat the game before?

Yes, you can do your higher difficulty runs or just play for fun. However, no spoilers or you'll be blacklisted as I've mentioned before.

Can I play on a different platform?

Yes

Can I ask stupid questions that have already be answered?

Yes, because no matter what I write someone will always choose to just not read a thing

If I can do this bewteen 1st and the 6th sign me up asI go away on holiday on 7th

I'll get the first checkpoint up in that time frame in that case. I'll just let people take their time on the first checkpoint as I know some people will be downloading the game and may take a while.

Sign me up.

Quick poll: Who is going for the platinum and if so, are you planning on doing it in one playthrough or more?

I'm going for two runs, going for a one run plat on Bioshock was more challenging than I expected and as I can't save immediately after getting a collectible on Infinite as its checkpoint saves I think i'm better off playing on a lower difficulty while finding collectibles.

Sign me up. Advice from someone who already has the Platinum, do it in two playthroughs. There are a few really tough parts of the game on 1999 mode that you'll want to know about beforehand. Just enjoy the game on normal the first time round and then tackle the difficult run after.

I double on this as well :). I mentioned to Buu in a PM that this is tougher than Bioshock 1 as there is no save system and you can only hold 2 guns at once. So unless you are really good at FPS games then do two playthroughs (also the items you collect are random so it can be very good or very bad for you depending on what you get)

Sign me up for this. I've really enjoyed our We Play for the original Bioshock and am really looking forward to playing Infinite with everyone.

I already have the platinum so I will just be doing it for fun. I agree with what other people have suggested and would recommend doing the plat in 2 playthroughs. I found this game to be a lot tougher than the other Bioshock games so I would just enjoy the 1st playthrough while getting as many trophies as possible. Then concentrate on the tougher 1999 mode. I have some tips for some of the tougher areas that really helped me finish 1999 mode but I'll save that for when we actually get there. Looking forward to it.

Hey Superbuu and everyone else of course :)

Sign me up, and altough i've already platted this one, i was looking for an excuse to get back into it, so yaaay! :D

Love the idea, but how does this work exactly? Do we communicate during/after gameplay? Do certain things have to be posted or such when reaching checkpoints?

See ya guys soon!

People play up to checkpoints and update as they reach them. Discussion points will be put up at regular intervals and people will talk about their experience with the game and plot points up to that point in the game. You can comment on the game as you progress as much as you wish, just don't put any info people shouldn't know about before it happens.

Check the first post for details or the FAQ i made in the we play subforum link should be in the first post to.
