Holy shit. That Rise of the Tomb Raider demo was god awful.

I really can't help but agree with this.

 

It also felt like extremely like The Last of Us - which I hated every minute of.

And then there was the overly automated platforming at the very end. omfg.

 

Tomb Raider is slowly dying to me. It is deteriorating into a shitty action game which we've been swamped with for the past generation. It's no longer about the platforming or the puzzles. It's about going on a fucking killing spree.

 

I have to agree with you - the gameplay looked like every other third person action game going on at the moment. I'm glad, at least, that PS4 players will have the chance to read reviews of the game before they decide whether to buy it. 

 

We're going off limited information, and the game is still a few months away, but it does seem like they've ruined Lara's character. The ridiculous "I'm crying because I've killed a man for the first time... oh look, there's more over there, let's kill those too!" character arch in the last game was one thing, but Lara doesn't even seem like she cares anymore. "Fuck it. I probably could sneak past this guy, but I want to stab him in the neck with a bottle!".  

 

They had a chance, with this reboot, to create a character with some depth. From what I've seen so far, I don't think they're doing this.

Yeah i tried that. Manually embedding doesn't work on psnp. Normally the site embeds automatically, but i guess there is a limit to it....

^^^ Thanks for the Final Fantasy XV Trailer. I hadn't seen that one until now!

Anyway, despite me not having any interest in Xbox One, Microsoft did a pretty good job, I can't deny that. Scalebound though...awesome.  o___o

FFXV and DS3 are both looking insanely gorgeous and promising. Also will probably pick up Until Dawn when it's out. So much good stuff coming out.
