Seems like an interesting decision. I'm assuming they'll bring Jameis in for a few plays so Hill can line up at RB or WR.

Congrat to Alex Smith on getting his first win since injury, move them to 3-7 , like the Cowboys who had a terrific performance today, NFC East now is a battle

Nice first start and win by best XFL qb PJ Walker for Carolina Panthers

Steelers 10-0,team they play Thursday the Ravens seem to be in a somewhat form slump

Colts 7-3 now, Rivers indeed found a good place and he's having a nice season

Worst thing from today is the potential season ending injury to promising #1 pick Joe Burrow

And.... the Jets are mathematically eliminated from playoff contention prior to Thanksgiving on account of their loss and Indy's win.  Which is an awfully difficult stunt to pull off, moreso when the playoffs have been expanded as they are this season.

On the other hand, all my co-workers who are Giants fans are getting excited about the possibility that they'll host a playoff game because they have a realistic chance to win the steaming pile of dog shit affectionately known as the NFC East.

Though I'd have been a bit happier today if the Jets hadn't "made a game of it" in the 4th quarter.  Yes, I want to see green shoots, but remember the goal is to go 0-16 because Jacksonville is going to lose out.  That, and it does no good for those green shoots to be Joe Flacco and Frank Gore.

Brady needs to retire. It’s clear his best days are behind him.

Sad that Burrow is most likely out for the season, it might mean Herbert is a lock for rookie of the season now.

Forget this year. It’s quite possible he might miss NEXT year as well. They said it’s probably 9-12 months minimum recovery from the damage his knee sustained.

Which means the four teams that will play today on Thanskgiving have a combined record of 13-27.  Hooray NFL football!

If the Cowboys play like they did last weekend vs. the Vikings, they should provide some old-time entertainment. I haven’t seen a team collectively play as physical a game of football like that for some time. Countless bone-jarring hits, yet clean and legal within the new parameters. They showed up at US Bank for a bar room brawl and the Vikings flinched.

We also have to remember Dallas was scrambling for a QB for a few of their losses, and was within a sniff of defeating unbeaten Pittsburgh. They clearly are a better team with Dalton at the helm than an XFL All-Star. And the NFC East was courteous enough to drop enough games to keep the Cowboys’ playoff path wide open.

And this comment is from somebody who has loathed the Cowboys since Jerry Jones fired Tom Landry.

Well that was a pathetic showing from the Cowboys, 2 absolutely dumb 4th down plays in own territory whilst game still close, couldn’t run ball and to make matters worse lose Left and right tackles, another big game from Antonio Gibson and Alex Smith was just solid.

Texans show that maybe they can make a run for the playoffs with the win over the lions who yet again lose on thanksgiving and give up wide open td’s, Patricia’s seat is boiling hot now and to think he replaced Jim Caldwell who is one the most dumbest firings in recent years

The Texans aren't in the playoff race, except perhaps in the fevered delusions of their fans.  They're simply too far back with too many teams to jump over; they're 12th in the AFC right now, two wins behind the three teams tied for the third and final Wild Card, and they've played an extra game.  Plus a bunch of the teams ahead of them still play games against one another.

The Texans would have to win out and get a lot of help.  And what about this Houston team makes anybody think they've got a 7-0 finish in them once the difficulty of opposition ramps up even a little bit?  Does anybody really believe they'll beat the Colts twice and the Titans?

Not to defend Patricia but Caldwell was a middling coach whom often made critical mistakes with things like clock management. He's far and away a better coach than Patricia but he was never going to take the Lions franchise anywhere either.

Rough run, could Jim Harbaugh be the next Lions coach?  He may need a new job.

For all of the division races, the NFC West looks the most interesting.  3-way madness between the Seahawks, Rams, and Cardinals.  49ers are a major disappointment coming off a surprise season, injuries or not, they have pretty much quit.

Michigan's love story with Harbough is rapidly coming to an end so it could happen but a new GM will be needed first

The NFL’s half assing COVID measures is biting them in the ass hard. Ravens and Steelers got postponed twice, more players are testing positive, they ended up on Good Morning America (more negative press) and now the Broncos are playing without any quarterbacks tomorrow. Just gets better and better.

And now San Francisco’s home games are up in the air.

Think it’s gonna take a miracle for the season and playoffs to finish and Super Bowl to happen.

Jim Harbaugh might have enough cachet left to get a dual GM/Coach job.  He's probably going to swing for that, at least in this first off-season out of the box.  He might have to settle for Head Coach only at some point, but that point probably isn't now.

And that's a good thing, because I want him nowhere near my Jets.  They're enough of a catastrophe as they are now without adding that particular ingredient to the mix.

The NFL is turning into a slow-motion disaster.  If the Ravens can actually keep their schedule intact as it is now (Tuesday against Pittsburgh, following Monday against Dallas), they're in position to benefit because half their team would be eligible to return from the COVID list to play the Cowboys.  And with the Ravens in the thick of the Wild Card race and needing some help, that's one way to get some.

The 49ers games are going to get moved.  I don't know where they're going to end up, but they're going to get relocated and the NFL is going to get them in.  At least if COVID doesn't get the entire League shut down.

The NFL will move heaven and earth to get their season concluded and in something resembling the original timeframe.  They've invested too much in getting to this point to try and do otherwise.  The same with the NCAA and their football season, as much of a catastrophe as that is -- and I'm a Wisconsin Badgers fan (and alumni), so I've paid attention to one of the teams that really god bludgeoned by all this.

It's the NBA and the NHL (and maybe MLB's 2021 season) that are at risk.  I don't think the NHL is going to get started; the other two are open to interpretation.

If the NFL had any integrity, they would have pushed back the Broncos-Saints game to Tuesday as well, as to give the Broncos a chance to get one (or more) of their QBs back, the way they pushed back the Ravens game a couple of times.  Or they would have granted the Broncos request to activate their Offensive Quality Control Coach who they (the team) believe has the best grasp of the offense as a QB instead of making some sanctimonious judgment that the Broncos were trying to circumvent the roster rules by stashing a guy on their coaching staff.

Denver followed the rules and did something to contain the virus.  By all indications, Baltimore didn't do nearly so much.  Do the Ravens get the benefit of the NFL's rulings because they're a high-profile team in a playoff race while the Broncos suck?

This is the year of COVID.  The League has relaxed a number of rules, but they've also put in a huge number of restrictions that make it impossible for teams to cope with the situation the Broncos find themselves in.  There ought to be some leeway here as not to make this game a joke.

Can't remember how long it's been since Seattle didn't play to the level of their competition and instead just blew a team out.  When your opponents offense is as sad as Philly's has been tonight being up by 8 at the half (and it's only 8 because Philly's kicker wanted in on the offensive ineptitude) is pathetic.  Can't wait to see them barely eek out a 2 point win against the Jets in 2 weeks.
