Popular Post Bullstomp
So I am pretty sure this has happened to every veteran trophy hunter at one time or another. You get a new game, pop the disc in the console, grab the controller, sit back and wait to be blown away. Then it happens. The game is NOTHING like you expected. In fact, it sucks. Badly. Now you find yourself at a crossroads. Do you eject the disc, promise youself you will never, ever again waste your time on that crap and try to sell it at a premium to one of the neighborhood kids? OR do you say to yourself "Dammit, 50 unearned trophies is going to kill my completion percentage. Suck it up, Buttercup!" and play to plat. It was hard to pick just one game to be the absolute worst as I have had that situation happen to me with regretable regularity. But if I have to choose one my vote goes to - X-Blades So back in 2013, I had just finished plating Hunted: The Demon's Forge (which also was not enjoyable, but not in my top 10 worst) and was looking for something easier for my next platinum. Then I saw X-Blades. Half naked female protagonist? Check. High platinum percentage? Check. Extremely inexpensive? Check. No multiplayer trophies to worry about the potential of closed servers? Check. It really seemed like a no-brainer. Then I played the game. It wasn't even the muddy PS2 graphics that turned me off about it. The gameplay was awful, the story was extremely weak and it really felt more like I was working without getting paid than playing a game. I was stuck at 30% completion for over a year before I resolved to complete the game and throw it out. I never had so much happiness in dropping something in the trashbin before that moment and probably never will again.
Maniadh417
Lego Batman 2 Vita, it's merely mediocre, but aUGH
TheYuriG
Dragon's Dogma. My PS PLUS NA was about to expire and there was only that game left to play, so i would never need to renew the account again (i have ps plus on my brazilian account now). I started playing it, waited for the fun to started. waited, waited, waited... and that moment never came to life, i finally got bored, dropped the game for a week. A few days before the expirarion date I came back to it and finished. I can't recall any moment I've been as happy to delete a game from my HD, that game was so F boring. The endings were nice though. Edited August 11, 2015 by TheYuriG
Connie
If you have ever played damnation you would know that it is not even worthy being called a ps3 game. Damnation has ps1 graphics and one of the worst stories of all time. Plus i did it twice...terrible
snakebit10
I would say it would be 1 of these 2. To the OP, I actually didn't mind X- Blades. Especially compared to these 2. I also can say the movie tie in games I have played I've enjoyed more then these 2. Even the NCIS game was a lot better than CSI. Just my opinion though, Edited August 11, 2015 by snakebit10
Styx2319
Last Rebellion. Combat got stale after the third fight. Story concept was okay but they didn't deliver on it. The only thing that kept me from quitting on it was watching TV while I finished it.
xZoneHunter
Battleship or X-Men: Destiny. They're not that bad to be honest (otherwise i wouldn't have platinumed them) they're just below average.
PipeSwinger
CSI was fucking horrendous. I also did not enjoy The Order: 1886 but I pushed through.
Zenpai
Most I do is clear the game once they never play it again. I never plat games I don't like. I'm pretty demanding, so if I don't find the game do be at least moderately good, I give it to someone else/sell it and then hide it from my profile. I want my profile to only show the games I actually own, and I don't keep games I don't like for very long.
NotAFoxAnymore
Terminator Salvation was pretty awful, causing me to give up on it for a long while but I eventually pushed through
StrickenBiged
Magus. I started it on a lark because it was free and to see if it was, truly, as bad as everyone said. It was. Grinding whatever those drops were for 2/3 hours at the end was boring in the extreme. I turned the sound off, and put on some podcasts to help me stay sane.
Venocide
Terminator Salvation was pretty awful, causing me to give up on it for a long while but I eventually pushed through I came here to post this It was the same for me, I got half way though but the game is so dull and boring that I just couldn't carry on any more, I eventually went back and platted it though.
diskdocx
Tough call, with 250 plats, there have been a fair share of awful games. I would say the hardest grinds for me were : Modnation (the game was good, but the 10-15 hours of solo XP farming across 2 consoles using 4 accounts? yeah, that sucked) Fairy Tale Fights - if you have played this game, then you know that the difficulties don't stack, and they need to be done both solo and co-op, so you need 6 play throughs....took 4 years, but finally got there Amazing Spider-Man 2 - just an awful game, took longer to grind XP for costumes than to finish the story. It is short, so I hesitate to put it on here, but it was just awful, awful game (worse than Magus, Duck Dynasty, Hannah Montana....) Rogue Legacy - my current nemesis. I just can't do the re-mix bosses, and wish I had never started the game
SuffyZorugelion
I feel like I've done this alot and dont even wanna remember all of the games I've completed even though I didnt like em, but since you asked I'm gonna check anyway SAW II ( I dare to say that I really enjoyed the first SAW game and I've always been a fan of the movies in that crappy kind of fun way. However this game really sucks. It has alot of collectibles while the first game has none, atleast trophy wize. The combat is some of the worst in PS3/360 era. Infamous 2 Infamous Second Son ( Really makes me wonder why I've played all the Infamous games even if I hate the series... Guess I always wished they would get better with a new release. My problem with the games was always the repetetive objectives.) Blades of Time !!! ( This game send me to a long break from Playstation and trophies after I was done. It even managed to make me less interested in all gaming. For a while I just felt I had enough of crappy games and needed a break. ) Ninja Gaiden 3 ( NEVER AGAIN! This game left a SUPER crappy taste in my mouth. I dont care how good of a Ninja Gaiden game they will release in the future. I will triplecheck before playing it. ) Borderlands Borderlands 2 ( I just found the gameplay simply boring. ) WWE '13 ( I'm a huge fan of wrestling or atleast was... My dedication has been dying again and I havent really had interest to even watch the better shows like Lucha Underground or New Japan Pro Wrestling while I know it's been very good. Anyway about the game. THQ's last wrestling game and it is a huge dissappointment to me. It only takes one little thing to screw up a game and in this one it is the pin system which is made for babies. It's so super boring and dull to play this game when you cant lose because its too easy to kick out of pins. The online was a fucking mess and ultimately I used two PS3's to boost this game after getting my stats reset by the shit servers after 750 legit wins. ) At the moment I'm having this same struggle with Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time. I started the game a year ago and I'm still trying to finally complete it. I've done good progress lately and I think I will get the platinum soon. I just hate this game. First of all my copy is dubbed in Finnish which is unbareable. It's boring. I hate ALL of the characters ( Bentley, Murray and the Elephant bitch earn a special notification for that ) Arghh...

Superbuu3
Just looked through my platinum list and only 2 games I platted would I say weren't all that good and those were Sly 2 and Jak 2, not that I disliked either that much, but I think bother were the weakest in their respective trilogies. Everything else I enjoyed. I get called out on NCIS, but I thought it was going to be like Phoenix Wright it wasn't bad it was just a game you went through the motions. I imagine if I liked the show I would've loved it. Also I bought it as the trade in value was more than the game , so yeah totally worth it. I do have a tendency to see through games through to the end though, so i can delete them off my hard drive (usually ones from plus) in that case warhammer space marine was kinda boring, the gameplay was fine the visuals bored me though. I'm going to make the assumption people are playing terrible games purely for trophies. Given that I don't get why people with low trophy levels are playing terrible games. There's a lot of great games dirt cheap, without the need to turn trophy hunting into a chore before you've really even started (seriously forcing yourself through bad games is like giving yourself electroshock therapy to stop you gaming altogether). Much easier to plat a game that takes 15-20 hours than a terrible game that takes ten hours. Also better for your sanity lol.
Wdjat Prinny Doods
Far Cry Classic- An absolutely garbage port, glitches glore. It was to the point where I had to wonder if this was developed by Bethesda. Environments that glitched in and out, things I'm suppose to interact with not responding when I pressed the appropriate button sometimes, horrible minimap, and some grenades I threw ended up being duds. My favorite part though? There is this trophy where you have to complete this mission without you or the person you are escorting dying. Easy enough mission except for the fact that the mission glitched on me 4 FUCKING TIMES?!?!?! Worst part being each time it glitched was at the end of the mission when I pretty much beat it. Oh and there was a 5th time where it finally didn't glitch and I beat it but it froze at start of the following cutscene and the trophy doesn't pop until after the cutscene doods Sad thing is I could still go on about the different gltiches I experienced but you get the idea doods

McJacs2
Even though the expansion of the city was a neat aspect of Jak II, I absolutely HATED the lack of checkpoints and the horrible driving controls, it felt like I was sliding out buttery ice. Also I didn't find LittleBigPlanet 2 to be all that fun, and I especially hated acing certain levels.

Yeah, Jak II is definitely one of the games I hated when playing it. Also Borderlands 1, mostly because of the DLC trophies.
Thoazol
inFamous. It's not even that bad of a game the first time around, but the blast shards are a misery to hunt down, all of the areas look almost the same with slightly varied degrees of blown-up and all the karmic powers added was more of an excuse rather than incentive to play the game a second time. Griffon234
Hmm... This one is hard, but it has to be a throw up between: Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 2: Ugh, I did the online multiplayer without boosting and holy god, it was SO DAMN LAGGY. I have a problem where my body physically starts hurting from playing awful games, and playing every character 30 times made me hurt a lot. Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep: Sigh. I actually really love this game, one of my favourite KH games, but I already did EVERYTHING on the PSP version when it first came out, and doing all the mirage arena/command boards was physically painful to do again as well. Seriously I'd do MF on Terra 10 times if it would've let me skip command boards.
TigressLion
I don't have a slew of platinums, so my views can be obscure as I have to pick but its a toss between Matt Hazard or Thief, I MIGHT think thief was the worse push though? GOD i had to push so hard for those.

Yeah, Ninja Gaiden 3 was...bad, very bad and that is being nice. It was more cheap hard than actually hard; the game basically just spawns endless grab-happy enemies on the higher difficulties. I actually liked the Sly Cooper games, even Thieves in Time. Though, I will admit the mini-games were a bit uncalled for. Far Cry Classic- An absolutely garbage port, glitches glore.
