Rate How Scary This Game Is

Loved the story from beginning to end, but the first half of the game was way scarier than the second half, especially when the QTE sections start piling up in the last third.

I would give it a 4 out of 10 just because even though all of the jump scares are very scary they are all expecting since the game lets you know they are coming through the music, visuals, and atmosphere.

Cheap or not, I thought it was terrifying. The first proper Wendigo encounter was one of the most intense gaming experiences I can remember for a long time, beating anything in Alien Isolation, although that was probably the better game. I'm a huge fan of horror which has one thing going on (the serial killer first half) only for you to find out that something far worse has been going on all the time behind the scenes. I'm also not one to go through games trying to predict what'll happen next, so although the wendigo reveal was, in hindsight, pretty predictable, at the time it made a big impression. 8/10.
