When War is in your Blood..

Announced today by MCV, a 'Triple A' Rambo game is in development at Reef Entertainment (Wii Ports of Sniper Elite, and Rogue Trooper). They have struck up a deal with film company StudioCanal which allows the team to create numerous titles based on the Rambo movies.

"I am a big fan of Sylvester Stallone movies, and when we had the opportunity to secure the video game rights from StudioCanal for the Rambo franchise, we had to grab it with both hands," said Reef Entertainment CEO Peter Rezon.

"With the success of the most recent Rambo film, and an international appetite for action movies with Expendables 2 scheduled for release next summer, we felt now was a good time to do something special with this licence."

Craig Lewis, Reef commercial director also had this to say about the upcoming title:

"We have big ambitions for Reef and the Rambo IP is the first step in establishing us as a worldwide player. He continued "Rambo will be a triple-A title on PS3, Xbox 360 and PC and will capture the gritty atmosphere and full-on action which made the Rambo movies so successful."

While Reef Entertainment doesn't have the best history when it comes to rolling out triple-A games, there is always a chance of a movie tie-in game to become a success. Although at this current time, it's not known if the game will feature star Sylvester Stallone - which in my opinion, would destroy the whole purpose.

The upcoming Rambo game is planned to blast it's way in for a 2012 Release.
