x9zachattack5x
Good Tomb Raider should stay SP only. I love TR SP. If I want to play 3rd person shooter MP, I'll play Uncharted.
Popular Post thegirlruka
So much yes T.T It seems the plague of "every game must have multiplayer" is starting to die. This is amazing news.
PREDRAG-K
I actually enjoyed the TR multiplayer, it was like an improved version of Uncharted's. Oh well, I can't complain over an improved single player campaign.
Parker
I have no problem with developers adding multiplayer to games that were previously single player only when they genuinely feel they have built a fun and engaging experience, unfortunately that isn't always the case and it often just becomes an extra bullet point in order to sell the game when there is really no reason it should've been added in the first place. I have much respect for a developer that stands up to the recent trend of adding multiplayer just for the hell of it and says "my game can succeed on the story alone." F22-Razgriz
LIKE I SAID when I TR:DE. Single Player ALONE was more than enough to REBOOT the franchise! and BTW - THAT thing called TR-MP was a COMPLETE HELL OF A EXPERIENCE -Razgriz
Nischen96
Yay! I hate that almost all developers feel like they need to include a multiplayer mode. So many games I'll never plat cause I really don't want to play the MP. Also better campaign is always good
Goekie
TR MP was definitely in my top 5 most boring MP games I've ever played

slash
Absolutely yay. The MP is the reason I won't plat the first TR game. It's shallow, obviously tacked on, and just not worth the time.
damon8r351
I was going to post about this yesterday, but didn't because it was still only a rumor then, and also because I didn't want to deal with any "And why the fuck should we care now, the game doesn't come out til late in 2016" backlash. :T
Condemned09
No mp yes the first TR Mp was garbage
captainskyhawk
Definitely want this game now. Generally hate multiplayer and only ever play for the trophies.
Kubanga
Meh TR: DE had shit mp but and its not like the campaign will be any better. Look at Wolfenstein TNO, they scrapped mp for a "better story" and it was nothing special.

Cake
I actually enjoyed the MP in the last TR, but I completely agree that they are leaving it out of the next one. Cheers to them.
NotAFoxAnymore
Good idea, TR feels like a series that belongs in single player. Multiplayer can be good but in some series it's just tacked on and doesn't necessarily feel right. Diagonis83
I have no overall issue with developers including multiplayer in games. Just as long as it has no trophies attached to it. So then those who hate multiplayer then have a choice on whether they play it or not. Adding multiplayer seems to either make or break a game these days. I personally think that this was a great decision not to include multiplayer in this game.
PleaseHoldOn
Meh TR: DE had shit mp but and its not like the campaign will be any better. Look at Wolfenstein TNO, they scrapped mp for a "better story" and it was nothing special. IMO, call me a cynical prick, but the whole "they added multiplayer so it must've taken valuable time away from the single player development" thing is just a myth that people convinced themselves of because it "makes too much sense". This is just PR to get those people smooching their feet and buying 5 copies of their game to "support good business practices"... when ultimately the single player will not change at all as a result of it, and they save money not having to outsource or develop/maintain the multiplayer portion of the game at all. Brilliant if you ask me. Edited September 8, 2015 by PleaseHoldOn

FilmFanatic
Sounds good to me. Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition was the first TR game I've ever played and it was great. The only reason I played the MP was simply for the trophies.
sTiLiTy
This is great news, I absolutely love Tomb Raider since the originals as a kid, but I won't play most of the newer ones because of the shitty tacked on MP trophies.
madbuk
Tomb Raider will actually have a good campaign this time? Hah, yeah OK Crystal Dynamics. I'll believe it when I see it.
Red-River13
I don't really think this is a good thing to be honest. It means all the game has is the campaign. Not really worth $60 for barely fifteen hours.
