Popular Post FilmFanatic
Banner by Floriiss, check his work out here. Hi everyone. I've moved my Theatre of Trophies to this new and bigger premises. Please enjoy. *If a spoiler tag won’t open, go to page 2 then back to page 1 (but not by using go back in your browser) and it should work again.* Some Pretty Platinum Mosaics Spoiler Platinums 1 - 25 #1 - Dark Souls 16.43% 4th March 2012 The Dark Soul All trophies obtained. Congratulations! My first platinum and one I can be proud of to call my first as well. Dark Souls is in my top 5 favourite games and I spent well over 100 hours going through the 2 and a bit play-throughs necessary for the platinum. Having played Demon’s Souls, I was well prepared for what to expect from the game and being open world made it even more enjoyable. I love the big variety of weapons and armour in the Souls series as well as the big variety of different types of areas in the game. Getting to the amazing boss battles in the game was just as much of a challenge as the boss battles themselves and the saying “The bigger they are, the harder they fall” was never truer than for Dark Souls. #2 - Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception 10.27% 26th May 2012 Platinum Platinum Uncharted is one of my favourite franchises on PlayStation and although I would rate it as my third favourite in the series it’s still a great game. As usual for the franchise it was a great looking game and I played it right through in 3D which was one of the best looking games I’ve played in 3D. #3 - Spec Ops: The Line 10.74% 14th August 2012 Legion Of Merit Unlock all Trophies. Spec Ops: The Line was a lot of fun to play. From the wide array of modern weapons to the spectacular desert and sand setting of Dubai as well as moral choices and multiple endings depending on your actions. I don’t remember how hard FUBAR difficulty was but I did enjoy quite a few of the larger battles, trying to take out enemies while making sure I didn’t get flanked. #4 - inFamous 10.97% 11th November 2012 inFamous Platinum Trophy Collect all other inFamous trophies. inFamous is the first game I’ve played where the main character has super powers and it was fantastic. Running around with electrical powers was a real thrill and the more powers I unlocked the more I loved it. The other thing I really enjoy about the inFamous series is being able to play as either good or evil. As much as I liked zapping people when they threw stones at me in the street, ultimately I preferred playing as a good character. #5 - God Of War: Chains Of Olympus 34.38% 30th December 2012 Above And Beyond Collect all of the trophies. There can’t be too many PlayStation owners out there who haven’t heard of the God Of War series by now. Chains Of Olympus has been remastered in HD and 3D and although I’ve never been a big fan of anything 3D, this game looked great in 3D. If there’s one thing I really love about the God Of War games it’s the combat and combo moves. Running around throwing out Kratos’ blades causing mass destruction and chaining massive combos together provided for many hours of fun. #6 - God Of War - Ghost Of Sparta 35.18% 3rd January 2013 The Ghost With The Most Collect all of the trophies. Like Chains Of Olympus, Ghost Of Sparta has been remastered in HD and 3D. I’ve always been interested in Greek mythology, going so far as to take a course in it at high school, so playing a game set during that time with so many of the gods, characters and creatures I had read about makes these games that much more enjoyable for me. #7 - L.A. Noire 10.80% 19th January 2013 Platinum Trophy Collect all other trophies to unlock. I’ve always loved movies from the 40s and getting to play a detective in 1940s LA was an absolute treat. Playing as Cole Phelps as he starts out in Traffic then moves into the big leagues of Homicide before moving onto Vice and then Arson. I loved solving a case by finding all the clues and then interviewing witnesses or suspects and watching their every facial expression to see if they were being truthful or not. Reading about the research the developers did to faithfully recreate LA as it was in 1947 and how they captured the faces of the actors are just two of the reasons why I think Rockstar Games are one of the best developers around. #8 - The Darkness 2 19.44% 24th January 2013 Conquered The Darkness Unlock all trophies. The Darkness was one of the first games I got when the PS3 first came out and I loved playing as Jackie with all his demonic powers. When I heard there was a sequel I knew I had to get it. Using Jackie’s powers was a lot of fun, my favourite being able to rip out the enemy’s heart and eat it. The Darkness itself also had a really good voice, Mike Patton, from one of my favourite bands, Faith No More. #9 - Doom 3 1.81% 6th March 2013 Ultimate DOOMer Earn all 65 Trophies Doom 3 is easily my hardest and proudest platinum. When I was a kid I only had the share/freeware version of Doom but I still enjoyed playing it anyway. When I saw Doom 3 was coming out on PC I really wanted to play it but the only computer I had was the family computer that wasn’t made for gaming. When I saw that Doom 3 was coming to PS3 I knew I had to get it, especially when I found out it included Doom 1 and 2. Doom 3 and its 2 expansion packs weren’t particularly hard even on Nightmare as you can save and reload as much as you need to. Doom 2 on Ultra-Violence was another story however. Even with watching videos on how to do the levels there were many many times when I thought I’d never make it but I persevered anyway and eventually I managed to platinum Doom 3. #10 - Fallout: New Vegas 7.25% 12th April 2013 Platinum Trophy Collect all other 50 Trophies for this Trophy. Coming to the party a couple of years after Fallout: New Vegas was released meant I was able to get the Ultimate Edition with all the DLC and play it all in one go. FO:NV is an amazing game. It’s a huge game with lots of quests, a big variety of weapons and lots of amusing NPCs. Although a lot of the big Bethesda games are well known for the amount of bugs, glitches and slowdown/freezing I still had a great time playing it. In all I spent around 150 to 160 hours exploring every last inch of the map I could and completing every last quest that I could. #11 - God Of War: Ascension 13.67% 25th April 2013 Champion Of The Gods Unlock all Trophies. To be honest I don’t really remember that much about Ascension from any of the other GOW games but it was no less fun than any other game in the series. I did however play the game on Normal without any patches to try and get through the Gauntlet Of Archimedes without the challenge being nerfed. It was hard but I eventually made it through. The one thing I didn’t like about Ascension was the changing of the description of that one trophy; after all, it’s only a game people. #12 - inFAMOUS 2 17.52% 8th May 2013 inFAMOUS 2 Platinum Trophy Collect all other inFAMOUS 2 Trophies. Although I prefer the first inFamous I still enjoyed inFAMOUS 2. Cole has new electrical powers to play with and finding all the blast shards was a whole lot easier this time around. Again as fun as the evil choices and missions were I still preferred playing as a hero. The one thing I didn’t like about inFAMOUS 2 was the new voice actor for Cole. #13 - Far Cry 3 17.23% 1st June 2013 Mastered The Jungle Obtain all the Trophies. Far Cry 3 was one of the best games to come out in 2012, even if I didn’t play until 2013. The setting of a lush, tropical jungle island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean was breath-taking. However unrealistic the variety of animals might have been, hunting them with the recurve bow was thrilling. Scoping out the outposts from afar and then taking the enemies down from long range with a silenced sniper rifle was immensely fun. And as a New Zealander playing it, meeting the locals, some of whom resembled Maoris (New Zealand’s indigenous population) and said Kia Ora (hello) was always amusing. #14 - Uncharted: Drake's Fortune 17.93% 3rd June 2013 Platinum Platinum Ahh the original Uncharted. At the time it was easily one of the best looking games I had seen. Some of the scenes in the game were simply jaw-dropping, for example, standing on the deck of a German U-Boat overlooking a vast green jungle. For me, my favourite thing about the Uncharted franchise is the characters and character development. As the lead, Nathan Drake is charming, handsome and funny. Almost always beside him is Sully, his tired, weary but always there when you need him mentor. The love interest is Elena, a strong, smart and independent woman who makes a perfect match for Nathan. Watching the action/adventure unfold and characters develop against the backdrop of some amazing set pieces and cinematography is something no PlayStation owner should miss out on. #15 - Mass Effect 6.92% 4th August 2013 N7 Elite Acquire all trophies Mass Effect is one of the best video game experiences I have ever had. Not quite enough to make it into my top 5 favourite, it sits squarely at number 6. One of my favourite things about the whole Mass Effect series is the voice acting which is among the best in its class. This was no quick platinum requiring a minimum of 3 play-throughs but I enjoyed all 3 of them. Mass Effect also features a renegade/paragon choice and playing as a renegade with some of the speech options were a great source of amusement but ultimately the paragon choices were a lot more satisfying. I also loved that in this game you weren’t just saving a city or a country, you were saving an entire galaxy from certain doom! #16 - Darksiders 12.57% 12th August 2013 BFA Unlocked EVERYTHING! Darksiders is another one of those games where I really enjoy the mythology behind the characters and world it’s set in based of their real world counterparts. The game clearly takes elements from God Of War franchise but it never felt like I was playing a clone of it. The combat was a lot of fun and the world was an interesting place to explore. I also really enjoyed the look and voice acting of the characters, particularly Samael and Vulgrim. #17 - Dead Island: Riptide 7.44% 28th August 2013 The Whole World Went Away Collect all other trophies. Dead Island: Riptide was one hell of a fun game to play. As in the first game I chose to play as Xian Mei so I could run around with big knives hacking zombies to pieces. There was a wide array of different weapons available in the game as well as plenty of different mods for weapons that could be used to hack off legs, forearms, full arms and heads. Personally I quite liked having a zombie run at me and timing my swing just right so I could decapitate it in one foul swoop. Being set on a tropical island also made for a nice change of pace from the usual zombie genre settings. #18 - Need For Speed: Most Wanted 6.31% 3rd September 2013 None More Wanted Awarded for successfully collecting all Most Wanted trophies. Need For Speed 3: Hot Pursuit was one of the first full PC games I ever played and I loved both running away from the cops as well as chasing cars down as one so I eagerly acquired Need For Speed Most Wanted when it came to PS+. Although the NFS games have never been overly realistic I’ve always enjoyed the good selection of cars they have as well as being able to put crazy modifications and paint jobs on them. Running away from the cops in my Aston Martin Vantage was a lot of fun and chasing down some of the faster Most Wanted cars was a good challenge at break neck speeds. The one thing I do have to mention is the fantastic soundtrack which accompanied it. There were so many good songs in it and would have to be the best soundtrack I’ve heard in a racing game. #19 - Red Faction: Armageddon 7.49% 14th September 2013 Red Faction: Armageddon Master Unlock all Trophies in Red Faction: Armageddon. The main reason I bought Red Faction is because it was cheap and I wanted to have a go with the Mr Toots weapons. However it turned out to be a really fun game. Almost everything in the environment was destructible and there was a good selection of different weapons. Playing through the game with Mr Toots was great and the look on his face every time I pulled whatever his trigger is was as funny the first time as it was the 100th time. If you don’t know what I’m talking about watch this video. #20 - Dante's Inferno 19.61% 15th September 2013 Master Of The Inferno Unlock all other trophies. Dante’s The Divine Comedy is not only a book I’ve wanted to read for a while (however although I have a beautiful copy of the book I still haven’t read it as I’m far too busy gaming), it’s a game I’ve wanted to play for a while as well. The nine circles of Hell provided for a great setting and had plenty of nasty looking environments. Combat was a lot of fun and coming across many different people from history and being able to either punish or absolve their sins was interesting as well. #21 - Lollipop Chainsaw 13.54% 27th October 2013 Legendary Zombie Hunter 100% Complete! Thank you for playing! Lollipop Chainsaw is simply a silly but very fun zombie killing game. Juliet’s weapon of choice, a rather large chainsaw was great fun and swinging it around in huge groups of zombies decapitating a dozen or more at a time was always fun. Her boyfriends decapitated head at her side made for some amusing conversations. Beating each level with a high score provided a good challenge and the boss battles were well done also. #22 - Bioshock Infinite 6.59% 27th October 2013 Platinum Columbia Acquire all other trophies. Bioshock Infinite was quite rightly one of the best games of 2013. Being set in the clouds in the city of Columbia was a nice, clean, fresh change of place from Rapture in the first 2 games. Booker DeWitt’s history made him an interesting character to play as and his counterpart, Elizabeth, made for one of the very few AI controlled characters that I actually like. Playing the game on 1999 mode without using a Dollar Bill vending machine was a great challenge but Elizabeth, always handy with some health, salts or ammo made it that much more manageable. As with the first 2 games there was a good choice of weapons, I particularly enjoyed using the sniper rifle and hand cannon as well as a wide choice of different Vigors to suit any battle. #23 - Hitman: Absolution 9.03% 17th November 2013 Top Of Your Game Collect all trophies. Absolution is the first Hitman game I’ve played and I enjoyed it. I’ve never been that big a fan of stealth based games but working my way towards the targets while staying blended in till I could assassinate them in whatever way was the least visible then quickly leaving the area was still pretty fun. #24 - Killzone Shadow Fall 1.67% 1st January 2014 Hero Obtain all Killzone Shadow Fall trophies. Killzone Shadow Fall would have to be my second proudest platinum. It’s not a very hard platinum but the online trophies are clearly the biggest barrier to people obtaining the platinum. I’ve played Killzone since the first game on PS2 so I knew I would have fun playing this one. I’ve always loved the look of the Helghast and have a lot of fun with the weapons. I always say I don’t like multiplayer but secretly there are a few games where I’ve quite enjoyed the multiplayer and KZ SF would have to be my favourite. I liked how every weapon and ability was available from the start and that there were no ranks, just the number of challenges you had completed. I’m decidedly average at multiplayer games so it took me 111 hours to get all the online trophies but I enjoyed every game I played. #25 - Mafia 2 12.21% 9th February 2014 Platinum Trophy Unlocked when all trophies collected. I’ve always loved gangster movies especially ones from the 30s so getting to play a gangster in the 40s to 50s was a great experience. Running around in a tailored suit and overcoat while gunning down enemies with a Tommy gun was so much fun. I loved driving around in the cars from that period and the radio stations had some great music on them. The Playboy collectibles weren’t half bad either . Platinums 26 - 50 #26 - Dragon's Dogma 8.32% 11th February 2014 The True Arisen Collected all other Dragon's Dogma trophies. Dragon’s Dogma is quite possibly the most entertaining game I have ever played (the other contender being Call Of Duty 4). I loved every minute of the 125 or so hours I put into my first play-through. What really made it enjoyable is I realised very soon into the game playing as my usual choice of fighter/warrior class wasn’t going to be easy so after much umming and ahhing I decided to play as an assassin using a shortbow and daggers. It’s the first time I’ve played any RPG as this class and it was brilliant and made the game a lot easier. I also liked how you could climb on the larger enemies to attack them. I also got the version with the Dark Arisen expansion which added a heap more playing time as well. #27 - Medal Of Honor: Frontline HD 3.21% 2nd March 2014 What Do You Want, A Medal? Earn All Available Trophies in Medal of Honor Frontline. The Medal Of Honor franchise is one of my favourites on PlayStation and I still have fond memories of saving up my money from doing a paper round and buying the original MOH for PlayStation One. I got MOH: Frontline for free with the MOH reboot. Playing it certainly brought back good memories from playing it years ago on PS2 and it was a big change from modern shooters when to get health you have to find health packs. The only real challenge for the platinum was completing the game on hard difficulty but I had a lot of fun doing it. #28 - Dark Souls 2 14.52% 18th April 2014 The Dark Soul Acquire all trophies. Dark Souls 2 was my most anticipated game of 2014 and it didn’t disappoint. I didn’t like the fact that enemies had a limited number of respawns and you could use bonfires right from the beginning as having played both of the first 2 Souls games I felt it took away a bit of the essence that is the Souls series. However it didn’t stop me from enjoying every minute of the 180 hours I spent on getting this platinum. After an enjoyable turn as a rogue class in Dragon’s Dogma I did wonder if I should try that class in other RPGs but that thought didn’t last long and I was soon running around in heavy armour with a big shield killing enemies with a massive sword which I love doing so much. Of all the co-op games I’ve played Dark Souls 2 is by far the best experience and I spent a large amount of time summoning and being summoned. #29 - inFAMOUS Second Son 27.97% 24th April 2014 Enjoy Your Powers Collect all trophies. Having enjoyed the first two inFAMOUS games and loving what I saw on the trailers getting Second Son was a no-brainer. I had fun playing the game however I didn’t find Delsin to be the most likeable character and his powers weren’t as much fun as Coles. I did enjoy his graffiti art however. #30 - Darksiders 2 8.36% 6th May 2014 BFA Unlock Everything. Darksiders 2 was even more enjoyable than the first one. Using Deaths powers to solve the many puzzles in the game was fun but the one thing I loved was the ability to craft weapons with abilities of my choosing. This made my second play-through on Apocalyptic difficulty a lot of fun as I could craft weapons that made me practically invincible. #31 - Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Blacklist 5.55% 18th May 2014 Decorated Agent Collect every Trophy. Tom Clancy has been one of my favourite authors for years and although I've only played two of his titular games I've enjoyed them both. Although the game is designed to be played stealthy and non-violently, it did include the ability to play missions through as both stealthily violent and good ol’ bring the noise. Replaying missions as each of the different tactical styles made for really good replay value. I’ve always preferred co-op games to multiplayer games and going through the co-op missions with a good teammate was a lot of fun too. #32 - Borderlands 16.98% 31st May 2014 Borderland Defender You have defeated all bosses and are a powerful force to be reckoned with. One good thing about playing a game more than a while after its release is being able to play the game as well as all DLC in one go. The cel-shaded style graphics of the game made for a very different but great time. The game is well known for the ridiculous number of guns it contains and finding a new gun that was better than the one you currently had equipped was always exciting. The DLC for Borderlands was every bit as good as the base game and The Secret Armory of General Knoxx was definitely a challenge. #33 - Murdered: Soul Suspect 37.61% 5th July 2014 Moving On Collected every trophy in the game. Based on the trailer, Murdered: Soul Suspect looked like a good game and reminded me a bit of L.A. Noire which certainly wasn’t a bad thing. However when I played the game, it really wasn’t that great. I had planned on doing a first play-through to enjoy the story and a second to get the collectibles but I very quickly decided that would not be fun and ran through the game as quickly as possible. #34 - Strider 5.49% 13th July 2014 Strider Master Earn all Trophies in Strider. The first I knew of any of the Strider games was when the 2014 version game to PS+. If there’s one genre of games I’ve never really been into its platformers. Starting the game on Hard difficulty was, well, hard. So I put it on Normal and I had a much better time. Although it was easy to get lost, I had a great time playing it. A second run to get the speedrun trophy readily prepared me for my third play-through on Hard and other than the final elevator section, was considerably easier than my original start on Hard. All in all a fantastic game and a platinum I was very pleased to get. #35 - Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition 5.64% 28th July 2014 True Survivor Unlock every Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition trophy. I didn’t own very many games on PS1 or PS2 and Tomb Raider wasn’t among my collection so my first real experience with Lara Croft was with the 2013 reboot. I had brought it for PS3 but hadn’t played it when the PS4 version was announced so went with that edition instead. I had a great time watching Lara as she went through the experiences that made her into the woman that everyone knows. It’s also one of the few games where I’ve really enjoyed using a bow to take down enemies. #36 - Heavy Rain 12.84% 2nd August 2014 Heavy Rain Master Unlock all trophies. Heavy Rain was a game I really looked forward to playing as I love movies and video games and it plays out just like a movie except you get to control the main characters. Not only that, but there are many choices to make in the game that can affect how the game ends. Some endings are good , some are bad and some are just downright depressing. Even though I hate QTEs in any game, Heavy Rains controls were pretty easy to pick up. It was also great being able play 4 different characters with 4 quite different roles. #37 - Dead Space 15.73% 9th August 2014 Concodrance Officer Collect all Trophies. Dead Space was another of the first games I had for PS3 and came back in 2014 to platinum it. Set aboard a huge, supposedly empty spacecraft made for a very eerie, atmospheric setting. There was a good selection of futuristic weapons to use on the grotesque looking Necromorphs. Finishing the game using just one gun was a different but fun experience. #38 - Resistance 3 9.17% 17th August 2014 Platinum Trophy Obtain all Gold, Silver, and Bronze Trophies for Resistance 3. Resistance: Fall Of Man was the first game I got for PS3 and I’ve been buying each new game as it comes out. I love the series with its alternate take on history, some great looking aliens and a fantastic arsenal of weapons, especially some of the secondary fire capabilities. #39 - Lone Survivor 4.65% 27th August 2014 True Survivor Collect all Lone Survivor: Director's Cut trophies. ‘8-bit’ games have never appealed to me but I gave Lone Survivor a go anyway. My first play-through of it was a bit frustrating with dying a lot but I have to say it was a really well done game. Getting around is a bit confusing at the start but my second play-through was a lot easier. The mental health system for You was a nice touch and making him unstable for one of the play-throughs was fun. #40 - Crysis 3 2.50% 31st August 2014 Platinum Earn all available trophies for Crysis®3. I wasn’t going to play Crysis 3 as it had a lot of my most hated trophies, multiplayer trophies, and the DLC was all multiplayer trophies as well. However it turned out just playing the game without earning trophies is enough to put it on my games list. As it turned out the multiplayer trophies weren’t that hard and I teamed up with a great group of people to get the DLC trophies done. My second play-through on Super Soldier difficulty was a lot more fun than my first and overall I enjoyed the entire game more than I expected to. #41 - Remember Me 9.58% 6th September 2014 Remember You Soon Unlock all trophies. Remember Me was a very fun game especially once I got used to the timing of the combo controls. I liked that you could make your own combos to get health, deal damage and cooldown other abilities quickly. Playing through the Remembranes to not only find different ways of killing the target but to continue the game was great fun too. #42 - Assassin's Creed 3 5.17% 1st October 2014 Master Assassin Get every trophy. Assassins Creed 3 is only the second game of the series I’ve played (the first being the original game). I really enjoyed it and having many different ways of assassinating targets kept it from getting stale. My favourite part of the game was definitely the naval missions and controlling the Aquila while taking out other naval vessels was immensely fun and satisfying. Some of the missions were quite frustrating to get 100% sync in but I got there in the end. #43 - Jak And Daxter: The Precursor Legacy 38.00% 4th October 2014 Top Of The Heap You have mastered the game and collected all there is to collect! Not having played any of the Jak games on PS2 I wasn’t sure what to expect from the games but they were made by Naughty Dog so I had every faith they should be good games. Jak and Daxter were an entertaining duo and other than a few frustrating bits, I had a fun time with the game. #44 - Jak 2 18.39% 11th October 2014 Done Done Done For excellent and dedicated field work in the field of battle for completion. Jak 2 is easily the most frustrating, rage inducing game I have ever played. The difficulty spikes and checkpoints were absolutely atrocious and some of the platforming sections just about did my head in. The only reason I continued playing it was because I try to 100% every game I can. I honestly don’t remember enjoying a single part of the game. #45 - Jak 3 21.13% 18th October 2014 Fait Accompli For Stamina and Time On Your Hands and an insatiable need for completion. Thankfully Jak 3 was a lot easier than Jak 2 and was my favourite of the series. Although it was just as much a shooter as a platformer, I liked the different guns with its different attachments. Combat was a lot of fun, mixing it up between melee attacks, the weapons and the Dark Jak power. However by the end of the series platformers are now my most hated genre. #46 - Metro 2033 Redux 12.69% 25th October 2014 Platinum Trophy Get all Trophies. Metro 2033 was a fun game. Being set in Russia was certainly a nice change from the usual American setting for so many games. I enjoyed playing through the dark sections while having to use night vision goggles to see. The home-made looking weapons were a lot of fun and added a good element to the survival aspect as I always made sure my batteries or pneumatic weapons were ready to be used should the need arise. #47 - God Of War 19.54% 27th October 2014 Trophy Of Zeus Unlock all God of War® Trophies Although I had heard great things about God Of War 1 and 2 it wasn’t until well after 2's release that I was at a friend’s house helping her son get past the first boss that I played it. However the first boss was as far as we got seeing as at the time he was about 11 and the nudity in the game that followed was hardly appropriate for him. The brief time I did get to play it though made me fall in love at first sight. As soon as I left and I went and brought both God Of War 1 and 2 and spent all night playing them. Up to that point I had only ever played shooting and driving games so I was instantly drawn to the hack’n’slash combat. The insane up-to-1000 hit combos you could pull off made me an instant fan of the franchise. #48 - Lords Of The Fallen 4.20% 8th November 2014 Lords And Judges Unlock all Trophies. Lords Of The Fallen was another game I was eagerly looking forward to playing in 2014 as it appeared to look and play much like a Souls games which was definitely not a bad thing. It turned out that it did play just like a Souls game so naturally I had a great time playing. The game was considerably easier than a Souls game so one play-through wasn’t very long but the platinum needed 3 play-throughs anyway. There were plenty of different weapons to choose from and each boss battle was different from the last and the week I spent playing it was great fun. #49 - Fallout 3 12.79% 14th November 2014 Platinum Trophy Collect all other 50 Trophies for this Trophy. Fallout 3 is number 5 on my all-time favourite games list. The main thing I love about it is the setting. Although it is set several hundred years in the future, the world of Fallout 3 looks like something straight out of 1940s/50s USA. From the classic looking cars everywhere in the game to the ever smiling face of the Pip-Boy 3000 and the Vault-Tec bobble heads, exploring every last inch of Washington D.C. was a great experience. The other thing I love about it is the smorgasbord of weapons. From the standard assault rifles and shotguns to the energy weapons and even a weapon that fires mini nukes or one that fires rubbish you can collect along the way, there was a weapon for every situation and enemy in the game. My personal favourites are the YCS/186 Gauss rifle and the Blackhawk, a unique scoped .44 magnum. Although all the bugs and glitches did make it a frustrating game at times, it still made for a truly memorable experience. #50 - Mass Effect 2 10.52% 13th December 2014 N7 Elite Acquire all trophies. Mass Effect 2 was a game I had been looking forward to playing for a long time given how much I loved the first game. I didn’t enjoy it quite as much as Mass Effect but I still had a great time playing hero as I once again saved the galaxy. I missed being able to choose from a variety of different armours and mods for different weapons but the combat was every bit as fun as the first game. My Insanity play-through was a lot of fun and it was great to revisit some of the characters from the previous game as well as meeting a lot of new ones. Not surprisingly the voice acting was once again fantastic and the story and history of the game world was a lot of fun to learn about. Platinums 51 - 75 #51 - Far Cry 4 16.69% 6th January 2015 Master Of Kyrat Obtain all trophies. I had plenty of fun playing Far Cry 4 however it was basically just Far Cry 3 set in the Himalayas. Once again I had a lot of fun hunting the wildlife with a bow and taking out the outposts silently. The fortresses were a nice addition however taking them out after taking down the person who ran them was really no different to taking out an outpost. I liked being able to choose who to side with in The Golden Path however neither Amita nor Sabal made for a good leader once Kyrat was free. Pagan Min was a great bad guy and I decided to let him live in the end. Hurk was very much a welcome return and his missions and dialogue were always funny. #52 - Dragon Age: Origins 6.27% 18th January 2015 The Ultimate Reward Completed all Bronze, Silver and Gold Trophies. Dragon Age: Origins was a lot of fun. One of the best things about this game was the choices you could make. In all the major quests you could complete them in multiple ways. Some had good outcomes, some had bad out comes and some were a mix of both. I spent plenty of time reading about what outcomes my actions would have, which is a testament to the fantastic story telling in the game. I didn't particularly like the combat, however playing as a rogue archer was more enjoyable than a two handed warrior. The DLC was also a lot of fun and added plenty more hours of gaming. #53 - Dragon Age 2 7.54% 8th February 2015 The Ultimate Reward Completed all Bronze, Silver and Gold Trophies. Dragon Age 2 was a lot of fun. Combat was considerably better than in Origins and having a voice for my character made things a lot more personal. Companions were well done again, with some I liked and other I didn't. The banter between them was great and sometimes hilarious. The reused maps was quite frankly just plain lazy and boring. Romancing wasn't as much fun either. Story choices didn't have as much as an impact for me but otherwise I can't complain. #54 - Dragon Age: Inquisition 6.41% 1st March 2015 Dragon Age™: Inquisition Platinum Trophy Collect all the Dragon Age™: Inquisition trophies. Dragon Age: Inquisition was a great game. Once again Bioware has written a great story and filled it with a good cast of characters. It was a great looking game and featured a huge world to explore and saving and loading times were very minimal. The ability to craft your own weapons and armour was great and the fade-touched items made for some very useful abilities. I decided to platinum it one playthrough and although Nightmare difficulty was hard at first, once I reached Skyhold it became a lot easier. I did actually run through the last few main quests on Nightmare so I could go back and turn the difficulty down however I eventually turned it back to Nightmare when it became too easy from being over leveled. There was a big range of enemies and taking down all the high dragons was a lot of fun. As with both of the previous games, the companions were a lot of fun and had some great lines, especially my romance Sera, and her very crude mouth. #55 - inFAMOUS First Light 22.13% 6th March 2015 Noble Achievement Collect all Trophies inFAMOUS First Light was short but sweet. The story missions were very quick and easy although it was interesting to see just what had happened to Fetchs brother Brent. The battle arenas were a lot of fun and for the most part the challenges weren't too hard. #56 - Hitman 2: Silent Assassin 9.70% 10th March 2015 Perfect Assassin Unlock all trophies Hitman 2 was a fun game. Stealthing around taking out bad guys mostly with the fibre wire. Some of the levels on Professional were a bit tough but were still a good challenge. The score did a good job at ramping up the tension and Agent 47 has a great voice actor. #57 - Hitman: Contracts 11.34% 14th March 2015 Perfect Assassin Unlock all trophies I liked Contracts more than I liked Silent Assassin. Overall it was an easier game and I liked the storyline more. Like the first game it has a really good score. The 47 kills in a mission is a fun trophy to get, running around with the M60 slaughtering everyone as they run away from you. Figuring out what weapons I was missing at the end was a bit annoying due to how they were displayed but eventually I got the trophy. #58 - Hitman: Blood Money 12.17% 17th March 2015 Perfect Assassin Unlock all trophies Hitman: Blood Money was my favourite from the HD trilogy. Apart from 2 frustrating levels (The Murder Of Crows and Requiem) it was a lot of fun with A House Of Cards being my favourite level. Running around massacring people for Notorious trophy was a nice change from playing stealthily. It also had the best score of the series. Although it's been awhile since I played Absolution it was nice to see how the story got to where it did. #59 - Uncharted 2: Among Thieves 15.75% 22nd March 2015 Platinum Platinum Uncharted 2 is one of my top 5 favourite games of all time. Even coming back to platinum it after so many years it's still a really good looking game. The characters are as fantastic as ever and it was great to see Nathan and Elena finally end up together. There are plenty of great combat sequences and lots of hair-raising platforming sections. The fact that there's no loading screens (unless you skip the cut scenes) makes the game all that much more immersive which is one of the things I like about all Naughty Dog games. #60 - Modern Warfare 2 7.90% 30th March 2015 Is That All You Got? Earn all available Trophies for Modern Warfare® 2. If there's one thing you can definitely say about a Call Of Duty game, it's that they are never boring. Having played it again over the last few days I've remembered just how fun COD games are. Right from the get go there's plenty of non-stop action set all over the world. The Spec-Ops missions were a lot of fun and although some of them are pretty challenging I still had fun getting 3 stars on all of them. Even though it's been over 5 years since I first played it, I do remember that the multiplayer was a huge amount of fun and I think it would have to be the first game I really played online. At one point I played for 18 hours only stopping for an hour or so to have dinner it was so much fun. #61 - Dark Souls 2: Scholar Of The First Sin 17.16% 10th April 2015 The Dark Soul Acquire All Trophies It just so happened that the day Dark Souls 2: SOTFS came out was the day before Easter weekend and I was taking the 4 days after it off work so over a long 8 days I was able to get this platinum. Having already platinumed Dark Souls 2 on PS3, the game was a lot easier since I knew my way right around the game although some items and enemy positions were different. The game looked really good and played very smoothly. I had been hoping for some trophies related to the included DLC but there weren't however you do need the DLC spells for the related trophies. I had just as much fun playing it the second time as I did the first time. All 3 DLC areas were just as well made as the rest of the game, my favourite of which was Crown Of The Ivory King because it is set in a castle in snowy mountains. There weren't as many people playing this as the PS3 version so I couldn't do as much co-op as I liked but a lot of bosses had summonable NPCs. #62 - Saints Row: The Third 11.59% 24th April 2015 Kingpin Unlock all Trophies in Saints Row: The Third. Saints Row 3 was a very humourous open world action game that I enjoyed playing. There were plenty of upgrades available for your character with the best ones coming last including unlimited ammo and immunity to nearly all types of damage. Some of the harder events were a bit annoying to do but causing mayhem with tanks, choppers and unlimited ammo was always fun. There was plenty of immature humour in it including increasing your characters sex appeal (bigger breasts for a female and a bigger package for males), to rescuing hos from a rival gang and car tuning shops called Rim Jobs, all of which added to the fun of the game. #63 - Hotline Miami 9.48% 27th April 2015 Trophy Addict Unlock All Trophies Hotline Miami was a bizzare game, but in a good way. Being a top down shooter was an interesting change from the usual first or third person view. I'm not an overly big fan of pixelated games however being set in 1989 meant it kept with the theme of the game. It has one of the best soundtracks I've heard in a game. It's a gleefully gory game and it was a lot of fun using so many different weapons and being able to perform over a dozen different execution moves. The 30 collectible masks added a new layer to the game with each one giving the player character a different bonus. Getting the platinum wasn't an easy task, some of the levels were rather difficult to A+ and getting a 12x combo seemed daunting at first. However with perseverance I was able to get there, and in a much shorter time than I would have imagined too. #64 - God Of War 3 15.52% 29th April 2015 King of the Hill Unlock all trophies - WWW.SPARTANSSTANDTALL.COM There's not much to say that I haven't already said in other God Of War games. Kratos was back looking better than ever. The ruthless kill animations were even better than in the previous two games and the death scenes for some of the bosses were brutally graphic. Kratos truly goes above and beyond in killing his enemies taking out titans, Hercules and more than a few gods including the king of the gods himself, Zeus. The only thing I didn't like about this game was 2 out of the 3 new weapons are virtually the same as the Kratos' standard weapons. #65 - God Of War 2 24.17% 2nd May 2015 Trophy of Gaia Unlock all God of War® II Trophies God Of War 2 is my favourite in the series. Originally playing them back to back on the PS2 I was blown away by how much bigger the game was and how much more audacious Kratos is. The areas to explore are on an even bigger scale than the first game and Kratos goes back in time to kill Zeus, no easy feat even for him. There's a great selection of secondary weapons and a wide range of magic available. I was glad there was no "break 30 vases in 30 seconds" challenge although that didn't make the beating Challenge Of The Titans any easier. #66 - Thief 3.23% 10th May 2015 Man of Steal The True Master Thief Going into Thief I wasn't to sure how much I was going to like it as I'm not a huge fan of stealth games however I was pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed Thief and I believe the main reason being the aim of the game was to steal things as opposed to kill/assassinate people like in other stealth games I've played. Running around in shadows while trying to find the stealthiest way to your goal was a lot of fun although in the last two chapters I ended up just killing nearly every enemy I came across. The collectibles and secret areas trophies also weren't as bad as I thought they were going to be (at least with a video guide they weren't). Playing through on a custom Master difficulty was also a lot easier and quicker than I thought. The only thing I would mark down on this game was the audio, at times it was choppy or sometimes made a horribly irritating sound but otherwise a really good game. #67 - The Walking Dead 72.44% 14th May 2015 The Walking Dead Earn all trophies in: "The Walking Dead" The Walking Dead is an amazing gaming experience. I had heard plenty of praise for the game and it didn't disappoint. Like the TV program (which I absolutely love) the depressing sense of despair and desperation for survival is present throughout the game. The characters are very well written to the point when something finally happens to Larry I didn't actually feel as good as I expected too. Usually I can't stand child characters as they tend to be annoying and exasperating but Clementine is one of the rare ones that you actually care about and her survival was always foremost in my mind as I played the game. There are numerous points in the game where you have to make tough choices and because you only have a limited time to choose an outcome it really puts you on the spot to decide what to do which is great. I played through the game diplomatically because having seen many apocalypse movies I knew survival came down to having people around you that you can trust. The statistics at the end of each episode about what percentage of players chose which outcome were very interesting as well. #68 - BioShock 8.51% 23rd May 2015 PLATINUM TROPHY Collected all other BioShock trophies BioShock is an absolutely fantastic game. It's set in 1960 in an underwater city called Rapture that is great fun to explore. Although the game is a first person shooter it has a twist on combat in the form of plasmids. Plasmids basically give you special powers. The plasmids give a whole new dimension to the normal FPS combat and throughout most of the game I didn't even use the guns, I just went with the good ol' 1-2 punch of Electro-Shock followed by a wrench to the head. The Big Daddies are easily one of the best looking enemies in any game I've played and presented a good challenge in taking them down to be able to rescue or harvest the Little Sisters who had some adorably sinister lines ("Hurry, Mr. B! Angels are waiting for our kisses."). Like BioShock Infinite, playing the game on the hardest difficulty was slow going but heaps of fun. #69 - Mass Effect 3 7.97% 10th June 2015 N7 Elite Acquire all trophies. Well it's finally happened. Shepard's fight against the Reapers has come to an end. Personally I didn't have a problem with the original ending although the extended cut did fill things out a little more. The Mass Effect trilogy is easily one of the best series I've ever played. Once again playing ME3 had me feeling like a hero as I saved the galaxy from an enemy no one could now deny exists. It was great to have Liara back as a squad member as she is my favourite throughout all 3 games. James was a welcome addition and his carnage power certainly came in useful. Although it was the shortest game in the series it was a lot of fun. Having all the DLC helped tick up a few more hours and I enjoyed playing through all 4 of them. I also really liked that based on my choices in the previous games I was able to cure the Krogan genophage and bring peace to the war between the Geth and the Quarians. My one complaint about this game is Insanity difficulty. On the first two games it was a fun challenge but on ME3 it was a complete joke. Importing my level 60 Shepard with all weapons and mods already unlocked made it seem as though I was still playing on Normal other than losing shields/health quicker. #70 - Apotheon 6.04% 21st June 2015 Omnipotence Unlock all other Trophies Apotheon is a brilliant game. As I've mentioned before I've always liked Greek mythology and the graphics that are meant to look like the sort of paintings on ancient Greek vases/artwork works fantastically. Although it is a very quick game there's a really big range of weapons, arrows and potions to use. Combat was a bit frustrating at times what with enemies running or flying away but otherwise a lot of fun. I experience a handful of crashes and one glitch (that meant I lost a couple of hours of progress), it didn't detract from the overall experience. #71 - Deadly Premonition: The Director's Cut 12.37% 28th June 2015 Deadly Premonition: The Director's Cut Platinum Trophy Zach, it's over, all finished. It's time for you to leave town. Are you ready to go? Words to describe Deadly Premonition....craptacular...craptastic...crapnificent all come to mind. Suffice to say I did not like Deadly Premonition at all. It's one of the ugliest looking games I've played. The sound effects are laughably bad. The cars handle like a ton of bricks even with upgrades. The main character is weird and not in a good way. Trying to find a rainy day for some side missions was frustrating. And the music/soundtrack was highly irritating. In the end I skipped every cut-scene I could simply to platinum this game as fast as possible. I really liked the Twin Peaks TV program but this was a very poor imitator. #72 - Kingdoms Of Amalur: Reckoning 7.30% 14th July 2015 Perfectionist Awarded all trophies. I first played Kingdoms Of Amalur 3 years ago and I absolutely loved it. It's a big game with hundreds of quests and I spend just over 90 hours on my first playthrough. It was a great world to explore with lots of different areas and lots of different enemies. There's a huge range of weapons and armour to choose from although the best stuff comes from crafting your own. The DLC areas were also a lot of fun to explore. As a side note this was also the first game where I decided to make a female character instead of always having chosen to make a male character. #73 - Dying Light 6.47% 26th July 2015 We’ll talk about it next time I see you Get all game trophies Dying Light was a helluva lot of fun to play. Combat started off rather boring as all I had was blunt weapons and if there's one kind of weapon I never use in any game, it's blunt weapons. However once I got some bladed weapons it was all go. I loved Techlands previous Dead Island games so playing a very similar game in full 1080p was fantastic. It is also one of the best looking games I've played on PS4 so far. The story wasn't exactly important as it's the combat which makes this game so much fun. Running around with big machetes, swords and sickles with electricity or fire added to them was so awesome. Wading into a big group of zombies with a high damage weapon and watching the limbs and heads fly never got boring. The parkour was pretty good for the most part but did get a bit frustrating if you didn't have your view lined up exactly and ended up falling to your death. Plus once you get the grappling hook it gets even easier to move around. Being able to run around at night gave the game a whole new experience and once I was leveled up a bit I always went out at night. The Bozak Horde DLC while challenging was a lot of fun and with the help of some other players I was able to 100% that as well. Playing this well after launch was definitely a good idea as well as no trophies glitched on me thankfully. #74 - Borderlands 2 7.76% 21st August 2015 Borderland Defender Round Two Unlocked all Borderlands™ 2 trophies A lot of people say Borderlands 2 is better than Borderlands and I have to agree. I choose to play as Salvador the gunzerker as he had the only skill trees that interested me and I loved it. Running around rampaging while dual wielding any combination of weapons was great fun. One of the things I love about the Borderlands games is the huge array of guns and it didn't disappoint. The Golden Chest in Sanctuary was a nice addition although having two controllers meant that the one time use function of the keys was rather defunct. As with the first game all the NPC's in the game are over the top and always amusing. Handsome Jack also made for a really good bad guy. Ultimate Vault Hunter mode was easily the best mode as all enemies scaled to you level so it never got easy. I upgraded from the PS3 version to the PS4 version so I got to play all the DLC as well which were also a lot of fun. #75 - Transistor 9.95% 30th August 2015 Plat() Earn all other Trophies. I wasn't entirely sure what to expect from Transistor as I didn't really know much about it but I quickly got the hang of the game and it was fantastic. It was a bit frustrating at lower levels with dying and losing functions and having to wait to get them back but once my level was in the low teens it got a lot easier. There was a great range of functions to equip Transistor with and a large number of ways to combine them. With a little help from the internet I found 2 combinations that worked brilliantly and didn't need any other moves. The tests added more length to the game and I enjoyed the performance ones the most. It was hard at first with a limited range of functions to start of with but with each successive wave it got easier with the right function combinations. The other thing I loved about this game was the voice acting, each voice matched the character really well and the soundtrack was beautiful. Platinums 76 - 100 #76 - Sherlock Holmes: Crimes And Punishments 21.80% 2nd September 2015 Perfectionist Collect all possible in-game trophies. Sherlock Holmes wasn't a bad game but then again it wasn't a good game either. I'm glad it was free on PS+ because I don't think I would have liked paying for it. For the most part the game looked decent enough but the sound was not good, the whole time it sounded tinny which was rather off putting. Sherlock Holmes may be one of the best detectives in the world however being able to deduce things from the tiniest scraps of paper was a bit of a stretch. His cosplay complete with accents were rather hilarious. It also wasn't hard to sympathize with Watson when Holmes decided to do yet another wacky experiment. The window of opportunity for the QTEs was so lenient the game may as well have pushed the buttons for you. #77 - Beyond: Two Souls 9.05% 6th September 2015 BEYOND: TWO SOULS™ MASTER Collected all trophies! I liked Beyond: Two Souls but not quite as much as Heavy Rain. Having real actors play the parts of the characters made the game more realistic and the motion capture of the emotions on their faces was well done. It was a decent enough looking game and the characters looked the best which was good as it was quite an emotional game. Doing 2 playthroughs meant, like a lot of other games, I could do a good playthrough and a bad one (burning the house down during the party was quite fun ). However I screwed up on one trophy which meant I had to do another half playthrough and by this time I was getting rather bored of repeating things over and over again. The fractured storytelling got a bit hard to follow at times and an option to play it in chronological order would have been a nice touch. #78 - Goat Simulator (PS4) 25.02% 1st January 2016 All The Goat! Unlock all the Goat Trophies! When I first heard about Goat Simulator (on PC only at the time) I thought it sounded like a really entertaining if somewhat silly idea and wanted to play it. Eventually it came out on PS3 and PS4 so I got my chance. Under the synopsis for the game on the PS Store there's a disclaimer that says the game is stupid and you should probably spend your money elsewhere. Well it turns out the makers are completely correct. The game was entertaining for all of about 2 minutes and after that I just played it to get the trophies. As anyone who has played it can attest, the Flappy Goat trophy is a huge pain in the ass to get despite its high rarity. It ended up taking me 13 hours of trying to get it before I finally achieved it. Now that I have platinumed it I can delete it off my game library which I'm quite glad for. #79 - Hyperdimension Neptunia 11.63% 1st January 2016 The Master System You've been diagnosed with Neptunia. The HDN games are quite popular on here so when I saw HDN Mk2 and HDN Victory on sale on the PS Store I decided to give them a go. I ended up getting the HDN Hyper Collection on disc so I could play all 3 games. The first game I played was of course Hyperdimension Neptunia Breasts. I went into this game completely blind. I had no idea what sort of game it was which was probably a good thing as it turned out it was a turn-based JRPG/dungeon crawler and I've always avoided playing turn-based games as they have no appeal to me. Having all cutscenes as a mostly static image was very different to any other game I've played before and the female characters chests moving up and down as they breathed was.......almost hypnotic. I already knew that a lot of Japanese games/anime have a particular fixation on breasts but dam if the characters breasts and sizes weren't mentioned a whole lot lol. I played the game in English (I'm not the only person who did this right??) and I absolutely loved the actresses voices for the characters (what can I say, I'm a sucker for an attractive voice in a girl :P). As for the actual gameplay? I didn't overly care for it. There is a lot to do and find to get the platinum and even though I had a list of all missables I ended up missing some of the enemies as that dungeon followed straight on from a cutscene so I didn't know what the dungeon was and had to do a quick 2nd run to get those enemies again. From what I understand HDN Mk2 improves on the battles so hopefully I'll like that game more. #80 - Puppeteer 4.33% 1st January 2016 Best Actor Unlock all trophies. If I haven't mentioned it before I'm not a fan of platformers as they can be very frustrating at times. Puppeteer is one of the few platformers that I've played and absolutely loved. The story a joy to follow and the cutscenes were always fun to watch. Kutaro and Pikarina were a lot of fun to watch and play as and Pikarina was constantly amusing to listen to. Calibrus, the magical pair of scissors Kutaro uses to get around the worlds and to kill enemies with were different and a lot of fun to use. This game has a lot of collectibles to find and thankfully most of them can be tracked in-game making things a lot easier. There are 100 different heads that Kutaro can use in the game that all do different things in different parts to make things easier and it was entertaining to watch him chase his head every time it got knocked off. Someone had mentioned in a thread on here that Puppeteer has one of the best trophy lists around and I have to agree. There's 62 trophies to get to earn the platinum and they cover everything in a game that you could want them too. #81 - Deus Ex:Human Revolution 5.93% 1st January 2016 Platinum You unlocked every trophy in the game. Deus Ex is another game that I first played when it came out and have come back to platinum. Deus Ex was a reasonably fun game. The first time I played it I did a lethal stealth playthrough and coming back to it again I had to do a completely stealth and non-lethal playthrough for their respective trophies. Playing it stealthily was a bit odd as the game has a first person view whereas probably every other stealth game I've played has a third person view which makes playing stealthily so much easier. That being said it was a fun challenge nonetheless. The story was certainly interesting and the themes explored it could very possibly become relevant in the near future with all the advances amazing advances modern medicine and science are making. One thing that always amused me about this game was every time Jensen talked I couldn't help but think how similar his voice is to Clint Eastwood, one of my favourite actors. #82 - Okami HD 14.27% 1st January 2016 Top Dog Acquire all trophies. Okami is easily the most beautiful game I've ever played, the graphics really are absolutely gorgeous to look at. I really enjoyed the story and loved the character Amaterasu and Issun (another Japanese character obsessed with breasts) was always funny to watch, especially when he got mad. I've said it about plenty of other games but it's always true of each one, that the Celestial Brush used in the game is different to any other game I've played. The only thing I didn't like about it was if you didn't draw a good enough sign with it then the game would think you were drawing another sign. The only other thing I didn't like about the game was the very annoying sounds made when the characters talked. Other than that it's easily one of the best games I've played and I'm glad it came to PS+ otherwise I doubt I ever would have played it. #83 - Assassins Creed 2 24.24% 1st January 2016 Master Assassin Unlock all trophies. I joined the Assassins Creed Project Platinum last year however I only had the platinum for AC3 and it was recommended to me that I get AC2, AC: Brotherhood and AC: Revelations. It just so happened that night all 3 of those games were on sale so I got them. I played Assassins Creed 2 first and overall it was a good fun game. I didn't remember much about getting around buildings from AC3 but I had a lot of trouble getting around at the start of the game. For example Ezio not climbing something that was climbable or wall jumping off the top of a high building. I suspect however the problem was just me as the more I played the easier I got. Assassins Creed game are always a lot of fun to play however I always find that the modern days scenes take me out of the game and personally I think the games would do better without the whole Animus/relive your ancestors life story that goes along with them. There wasn't a big choice in weapons to use and I mostly went with the hidden blades. I didn't think finding all the feathers was that bad a trophy as there are only 100 of them. My 80th platinum, Puppeteer has over 800 collectibles in it! #84 - Killzone 3 7.28% 1st January 2016 Platinum Collect all Killzone 3 trophies The first Killzone game I played was the original Killzone for PS2 and I've been enjoying the series since. Although I would have to say KZ3 is my least favourite in the series it's still a fun game to play. I really like the weapons and the Helghast have the best looking outfits of any uniform, real or otherwise, ever. I hadn't originally planned on platting this game but I had joined a gaming session to get the last multiplayer trophies although I ended up getting them on my own after the session and I figured I might as well get the remaining trophies for the platinum. Luckily I had already got the majority of the trophies out of the way previously so all I really needed to do was finish the game on Elite difficulty which wasn't overly hard. #85 - Middle Earth: Shadow Of Mordor GOTY (PS4) 20.66% 1st January 2016 Master of Mordor One has walked in Mordor. Before I played it, I had already heard that Shadow Of Mordor was a great game. But little did I know just how much I would enjoy it. Shadow Of Mordor is easily one of the most fun and entertaining games I've ever played. The story was nothing special but the combat was soooo much fun. It did take me a little while learn not to rush head first into combat as I always found myself surrounded and severely outnumbered however once I started to play it a bit more stealthily it was a lot easier. There were 3 ways to kill enemies, with your sword, sneaking up behind them and killing them with your dagger or sniping them with the bow. As well, the more I leveled up and unlocked more moves, the more the combat got even better. It 's also one of the best looking games I've played on the PS4. The Lord Of The Hunt DLC story was nothing special but getting The Hunt Is My Mistress trophy for completing the Test Of The Wilds was challenging but highly enjoyable. I didn't like The Bright Lord DLC, mainly because it took away moves that made the game easy but I did enjoy completing the Test Of The Ring. I would very highly recommend this game to everyone and you certainly don't need to be a fan of the Rings books/movies to enjoy the game. #86 - The Wolf Among Us 56.45% 1st January 2016 Full Moon Earned every Trophy in every episode of The Wolf Among Us. As with the other Telltale Games I've played, The Wolf Among Us was a great game. The game was of course completely story driven and the story they had come up with was great. It involved fairy-tale characters, movie characters and nursery rhyme characters inhabiting the real world but using a potion to disguise themselves as humans. I enjoyed the story and Bigby Wolf and Snow White were my favourite characters. But it was the little things about the game I really loved. For example the main characters name is Bigby Wolf, who is the Big Bad Wolf from Little Red Riding Hood, Big Bad Wolf...Big B Wolf.....Bigby Wolf. Or Georgie Porgie from the well known nursery rhyme having a strip club named Pudding 'n' Pie. Seeing Ariel from the Disney movie The Little Mermaid, nude as a stripper was certainly unexpected as well. #87 - Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition 21.31% 1st January 2016 Hong Kong Legend Earn all the Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition trophies to unlock this platinum trophy. I'd bought Sleeping Dogs quite awhile ago on sale for the PS3 but when a remastered version came out for PS4 I eventually upgraded. Sleeping Dogs was a lot of fun. It was the first game I've played that is solely set in Asia which was a nice change from Western set games. I watch a lot of Eastern cinema so I already knew that they don't favour guns the way people do in the West, instead they prefer melee weapons like knives or bats. So it was great to see that the combat focused mostly on hand-to-hand fighting or using knives, bottles and tyre irons. Wei Shen was a really good character to play as since he's not a straight up good-guy but more of an anti-hero. One thing that did take a bit of getting used to was getting around. Every open world game I've played has been set somewhere where traffic drives on the right hand side of the road but in Hong Kong they drive on the left. It's rather amusing really because in real life we drive on the left in New Zealand so you'd think I would be used to it but because real world driving and game driving are 2 very different things it took me awhile to adjust to it. #88 - Magicka 2 1.31% 1st January 2016 You Are The Special Get all other Trophies. When I first saw Magicka 2 on PS+ and read it was a co-op game I immediately said as I don't much care for co-op games and definitely don't care for games meant to be played cooperatively. However I eventually persuaded myself to step outside of my comfort zone and play it and I'm really glad it did. Magicka 2 was a really fun game to play. There were 7 different spells plus a shield and 4 different ways of casting spells which made for a vast array of combos. There were also unlockable staffs and robes that could change the effectiveness of certain spells. The other unlockables allowed you to play the game with Custom Artefacts enabled that could make you immortal and enemies have 10% health while you move around at 300% speed which made a few of the trophies very easy. Despite nearly every trophy in the game being ultra rare, it wasn't a particularly hard platinum. Playing the game firstly on Normal made playing the game on Bananas a lot easier since you knew what to expect and what spells to use. The only hard parts were the Trials and Challenges that were a lot easier with other people. Overall I'm really glad I decided to give this game a chance and the experience was really enjoyable. #89 - Metro: Last Light Redux 15.27% 1st January 2016 Platinum Trophy Get all Trophies. There isn't really a lot to say about this game that I didn't say in my review of Metro 2033. I liked the game. I enjoyed the Russian setting of the game and the homemade weapons were fun to use. It would be interesting to go and try platinum the PS3 version of the game which I have from PS+ as that requires you to complete the game without killing anyone which would be hard but the PS4 platinum will suffice :P. #90 - Ether One 10.65% 1st January 2016 Validation Excellent Work Restorer. I played Ether One well after its release and many many patches to fix the game so luckily I didn't experience any bugs or glitches. The story is an interesting one. You play as a person who has to try and reconstruct the memories of an elderly lady who has dementia. The game mainly involves going through 4 different areas solving puzzles to reconstruct the memories. It's not a bad game but then it's not a good game either. I ended up using video games for most of the puzzles to get through the game sooner so I could move onto something more entertaining. #91 - The Order:1886 35.24% 1st January 2016 The Grail Collect all Trophies The Order is easily one of the best looking games available on PS4 and unfortunately that's the best thing that can be said about the game. The weapons were fun to use but you can run through the entire game in around 6 to 7 hours which is just far too short for a full price game. Had I known this before I purchased the expensive Blackwater edition, I would have just got the standard version but oh well. #92 - Bloodborne 21.45% 1st January 2016 Bloodborne All trophies acquired. Hats off! Of the games that came out in 2015 that I played in 2015, Bloodborne would be my pick for Game Of The Year. That being said I haven't finished The Witcher 3 yet, haven't started Fallout 4 and have purchased MGS V:TPP yet either. I was really looking forward to playing Bloodborne as the Souls games (Demons Souls, Dark Souls 1 and 2) are my all time favourite series. I knew playing the game would be a bit different from a Souls game where the combat is slower and I always relied on heavy armour and a great-shield whereas in Bloodborne the combat is much faster and in your face and there's no shields (well there is one but it's entirely useless) and the outfits are mostly for looks and not protection. I did get to play the alpha version for 3 hours first so I did know what I was in for and it didn't take me too long to get used to the combat. The health mechanics in the game were brilliantly done however as a more cautious player from a Souls game I rarely tried to get my health back from hitting an enemy and mainly relied on retreating and using one of the very plentiful blood vials. The setting of the game was as good as anything From Software has done before. The diseased city of Yharnham was ab absolute treat to explore especially finding short cuts back to a previous area. The melee weapons are some of the best I've come across in any game. All right hand weapons have a standard form as well as a trick form that transforms them into something even better. My favourites were the Old Hunters Axe (The attack in trick form was brilliant) and Ludwigs Holy Blade. I found the left hand weapons to be completely useless to me as I have never parried in any game where you can do so. As I played the game I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would but upon reflection I realise I enjoyed far more than I thought. The chalice dungeons were a lot of fun and the Old Hunters DLC was just as much fun as the main game. #93 - The Last Of Us 4.26% 3rd January 2016 It can't be for nothing Platinum Trophy For me, The Last Of Us is the greatest video game ever made. TLOU is one of the best looking games I've seen on the PS3 and being a Naughty Dog game means there's almost no loading screens which is fantastic as it makes the game that much more immersive. When the game first came out I played it 3 times in a row. I came back to it 2 1/2 years after its initial release to complete Grounded Mode and the opening prologue, although short, had just as much an impact on me as it did the first time I played it. I've seen a lot of apocalypse movies but the first 15 - 20 minutes of The Last Of Us is better than any similar movie I've ever seen. The start is very emotional and sets the tone for the rest of the game. The game then jumps forward 20 years where you play as Joel, a man who has been twisted into something completely different from what he was before the outbreak. He is tasked with smuggling a 14 year old girl, Ellie, out of the city, something which he is vehemently against but eventually gives in and agrees to the task. What follows is an intense and harrowing journey of horrifying situations, brutal violence and self discovery. Joel and Ellie are easily 2 of the best written characters ever written for a game and as they make their way through all the challenging situations they find themselves in, they develop a close, emotional bond that ultimately (and predictably) comes to a head when Ellie runs away and Joel has to chase after her. One of the best things about this game is the ending. Even after playing the game 4 times I still can't decide if what Joel does is the right thing or not. I can certainly understand why he does what he does and his explanation to Ellie is certainly plausible but I still don't know. If I sat down and thought about it I probably would side with Joel but for now I'm still undecided. TLOU is easily one of my proudest platinums and is certainly my proudest 100% game to date and has one of the best platinum titles around. If you haven't played this game before I strongly urge you to give this masterpiece a try. #94 - The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt 7.53% 23rd January 2016 The Limits of the Possible Collect all trophies. The Witcher 3 is a good game but not a great game. For the most part the game was looked great. The world it's set in is huge with a lot to do and see. It has an interesting story line although not having played the first 2 games it's evident there's a lot of history that I was missing out on. Unfortunately I didn't enjoy this game anywhere near as much a lot of people did. For starters, the load times were atrocious, taking up to 1 minute 20 seconds, which when playing on Death March difficulty where you can quickly and easily die, made for a very frustrating experience. I didn't much care for the leveling system either. By the time I reached around level 23 -25 and had found all the places of power I had acquired all the abilities I wanted and by the time I finished the game at level 35 I had 12 or 13 ability points that were quite frankly useless as there was nothing else I wanted to unlock, and even if I did choose to unlock another ability I would've had to keep swapping back and forth between them as I already had all slots filled with the abilities I wanted to use. My other main gripe is with the combat. The combat itself was fine but there were a number of things that made combat annoying. For example, the conditions for Geralt getting his sword out for combat felt completely broken. There were many times when combat had long ceased with no enemies in sight yet he wouldn't put his sword away automatically. There were also plenty of times when Geralt would put his sword away despite there being enemies very close to him. Even more frustrating was running up to an enemy and punching them because Geralt hadn't bothered to take his sword out. I also didn't much care for most of the enemies. If you weren't being surrounded buy a large mob of enemies where you couldn't bait them away one by one, you were up against enemies that would constantly disappear and reappear right behind you. The other odd thing I disliked was that you could lock onto normal enemies but not bosses, which was annoying because as well as constantly having to dodge, you had to constantly adjust the camera just to see where the boss was. The first half of the game was reasonably enjoyable as I made my way around the world exploring and looting but the second half I started to get a bit bored and by the time the 3rd act started I just wanted the game to be finished. For me this game doesn't come close to being Game Of The Year (that goes to Bloodborne). In my opinion, Dragon Age: Inquisition is a much better game in every respect. #95 - Game Of Thrones 47.35% 29th January 2016 Lord of Ironrath Completed Season 1 of Game of Thrones. Coming to play Game Of Thrones after having played S1 and S2 of The Walking Dead I was a little jaded at the fact that a lot of the time you had the illusion of choice as opposed to an actual choice. Although this was the case in more that a few parts of the game there were also plenty of times when your choices did matter which I was pleased about. Having seen all current seasons of GOT on TV made following parts of the game easier and just like the program (I haven/t read the books) a lot of characters die and there is always politics going on behind the scenes. I enjoyed the fact that you played as multiple characters all with their own story-lines that interwove with each other. A lot of the time decisions weren't always easy to make as you never knew just what would result from them but I stuck with all my decisions and didn't go back to change them. While sometimes it seemed the smart choice was to make decisions based on politics and knowledge, other times it was fun to just give a big FU to another character. All in all I had a fun time playing this game and look forward to seeing what will happen in Season 2 based on what I chose for each character. #96 - Dust: An Elysian Tale 9.09% 20th February 2016 Mithrarin Awakening Dust: An Elysian Tale is yet another gem that I got for free from PS+. I had a great time playing this game. I choose to play this game on Tough instead of Hardcore because why go for the hardest difficulty if you don't need to. At first the game wasn't overly easy but once I started to level Dust up and got better equipment the game got a lot easier. Dust has a great story and the characters you meet along the way especially Fidget, were a lot of fun to interact with. The combat was well done and the Dust Storm with Fidgets projectiles made for some crazy combos. The only thing a bit off about the game is that in the last chapter that difficulty ramps up considerably compared to the rest of the game. The only thing I didn't like about the game was the bug that caused the shop/item menu to go absolutely crazy and there didn't seem to be any way around it which was unbelievably frustrating. #97 - Demon's Souls (EU) 11.01% 20th February 2016 Toughest Soul Trophy All Trophies Obtained Demon's Souls is easily one of the best games available on the PS3. I don't remember how I first heard about the game but what initially drew me to it was how hard but rewarding everyone said it was. At the time it was easily the hardest game I had played but I absolutely loved it. When I first played it I did 2 play-throughs however this year when I came back to get the plat for not only my 6000th trophy but also to have all Souls games platted before Dark Souls 3 comes out, I decided to start the game over from scratch as I didn't like the was I had built my first character. Coming back to it after having spent 100s of hours playing and platting Dark Souls 1/2/2 SotFS and Bloodborne I found the game a lot easier and as I played it I remembered more and more of the game. Demon's Souls is somewhat different from the other souls games in that it has world/character tendencies which can make the game easier or harder. I didn't have very much trouble with farming stones for the various weapons trophies and got very lucky with pure bladestone by getting it on my 5th or 6th kill of the skeleton in the hidden passage. However it took me quite a few more hours to farm another piece when I decided I wanted a Sharp Kilij +5 after I already had the trophy. I also didn't dupe any stones for the trophies however I did exploit a couple of the bosses to make them a bit easier for myself. All in all it was a fantastic experience to come back and play/plat a game that was a hugely promising start to my all time favourite game series. #98 Tales From The Borderlands 52.28% 29th February 2016 We Had Fun, Didn't We? Complete Tales From The Borderlands Tales From The Borderlands is without a doubt the best Telltale game I've played so far. Although you don't need to have played the Borderlands games to play this it does help a lot with the story. The graphics on this worked better than any other Telltale game as the Borderlands games have very similar graphics which was nice. It was good to see that the humour was carried over to this game as well. There was one part where you have the option of giving an NPC a fright that had me in tears it was so funny. It had some great characters and Gortys especially was utterly adorable. The game had a fantastic soundtrack and I loved every song that they played during each episodes opening credits. The game got better and better with each episode and the last half of the final episode is easily some of the best fun I've ever had playing a video game. #99 - Watch Dogs (PS4) 8.69% 12th March 2016 100% Clear This is the platinum trophy and is unlocked automatically when all the trophies have been unlocked. Despite mixed reviews, I quite enjoyed Watch Dogs. The hacking was really well done and it was always a lot fun taking taking enemy/cop cars out by throwing up bollards in front of them. The online invasions were very reminiscent of a Souls game however it did get rather annoying when I'd spend several minutes driving to a mission only to be denied starting it as I was being invaded. The combat was really enjoyable as hacking cameras allowed you to find enemies before going taking them on and being able to hack and activate grenades was always entertaining. The only things I didn't like about the game was the soundtrack as it was mostly stuff I wasn't interested in listening to and when ordering a car to be delivered, having it delivered to somewhere that wasn't even close to me. #100 - Dark Souls 3 17.62% 25th April 2016 The Dark Soul Acquire all trophies. Dark Souls 3 was my most anticipated release for 2016 as the Souls series is my favourite game series. Unfortunately however I would have to rate it my least favourite in the series. My biggest problem was with the combat. The combat is too much like Bloodborne and not enough like a Souls game. Every other Souls game I've played (which is all of them) I've always gone with a tank build using a shield and sword and it's worked really well. With DS3 though this wasn't the most viable build. There are a lot of enemies in the game that can wipe out all your stamina in 3 to 4 hits leaving you staggered and there are also a lot of enemies that can damage you through your shield. The game really seems to be aimed at a quicker build than a slower build. I also didn't care for most of the boss battles as every single boss changes/transforms into something else or gets new attacks at 50% health. Not only that but it seemed like a lot of bosses are aimed at co-oping as many of them are relentless in their attacks to the point you can't get a hit in easily and forget about trying to use an Estus Flask. That aside lets get on to what I did like about the game. The game had a fantastic score. I particularly loved the main menu music and the music in the Firelink Shrine. As always there is a great selection of armour and weapons. I just wish I had taken more notice earlier in the game of how beastly the Dark Sword is as it was the only weapon (other than my bow) that I used in both NG+ and NG++. There was also a wide and varied selection of areas and enemies in the game. I found most of the boss fights to be forgetable but did really enjoy the Yhorm the Giant fight (when done properly) and Oceiros the Consumed King, although there wasn't anything special about the fight itself, the sound he makes when outside his fog door was just spine tingling. Weapon infusions were a great addition, specifically the Heavy, Sharp and Refined gems as they are geared towards specific builds like a STR, DEX or STR/DEX build. The last thing I've always loved about Souls games is the NPCs. I love the way they talk and also the tone, so many of them sound 'hollow' to use a rather appropriate word and in DS3 my favourite was Anri. Platinums 101 - 125 Spoiler #101 - Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood 3.72% 30th April 2016 Julius Caesar Win every trophy. I enjoyed AC:B as much as I enjoyed Assassin's Creed 2. Getting around was still something of a pain in the ass and getting 100% sync for 100%ing the game was annoying but otherwise it was a really good game. Ezio was fun and charming to play as again and the Da Vinci war machine missions were a nice change from assassinating everyone. I was very fortunate with the MP trophies as I found a great group of guys to boost them all with and even pulled an all-nighter to finish them off which I haven't done in a very long time. #102 - Everybody's Gone To The Rapture 17.77% 1st May 2016 This Pattern is Mine You got them all. You got them all. EGTTR absolutely blew me away. Going into it, all I really knew was that it was a walking simulator and nothing about the story. It took me about 5 to 6 hours to work my way through my first run looking for everything I could find. As you progress you slowly learn more and more about just what has happened to this quaint English countryside town. Without spoiling anything for anyone who hasn't played it yet, the way you interact with the former inhabitants of this village is really well done based on what has happened to them. There were more than a few times when I would activate a piece of the story-line and get another snippet of the story that gave me goosebumps as residents explained what was happening to them. And despite what it looked like on the surface there were a lot of things going on behind the scenes with this village besides what had happened to them. I liked the radio collectibles the best as they told you more and more about the entity that has taken hold of these people. Reading a chronological timeline of everything that you learn after having finished the game helped make a bit more sense as story arcs aren't told in the order they happen. I also like that the ending was somewhat ambiguous and left it open to the players interpretation as to what really happened to everyone. If you like walking simulators then I highly suggest you give this one a go as it's easily the best I've played. #103 - Alice: Madness Returns 14.64% 13th May 2016 Platinum For All Other Trophies Platinum For All Other Trophies When I first started Alice: Madness Returns and had to make my way to the first level I thought this game was going to be crap. However once I started playing the first chapter I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. In the end I found the game to be quite enjoyable aside from a couple of annoying platforming areas. The enemies weren't anything special but I really liked the weapons even if 2 of them were basically the same. Each of the 5 chapters were different from the last and each had there own dress to suit the level. I played through the first game which had been released as a DLC and although I didn't think the controls were as bad as everyone says I can't say I really enjoyed the game itself. #104 - White Night 19.56% 14th May 2016 Great Work Unlock all trophies to achieve the Great Work I bought White Night on a whim as it was on sale and from the preview pictures looked like it could be a half decent game. Luckily my purchase was a good one as I quite enjoyed the game. I love noire movies so I really enjoyed the setting and story although I found the ending to be a bit of a let down. The game is in black and white and has a graphic novel look to it which I really liked. There were a couple of things I disliked about the game like the fixed camera view which made getting around somewhat frustrating at times as when the view changed you could end up going in the wrong direction which when near enemies was very annoying. The other annoying thing was the enemies. A lot of the time there was very little room to get past them and getting too close meant game over and having to reload your last save and some areas had numerous ghosts which meant a lot of reloading and little progress. Overall though it was a good game and an easy platinum. #105 - Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2 19.63% 23rd May 2016 Neptunia Master System mk2 It's in your blood...a new strain of Neptunia! In the days before I started HDN mk 2 I was really looking forward to playing it as I quite enjoyed the first one. mk2 is a big improvement over the first game. Firstly the dungeons were a lot better in that the fights weren't random as to when they happened and you could avoid fights altogether if you wanted to. I'm still not a big fan of turn based combat and it did get annoying either skipping turns or using your first turns to move towards the enemies so they got to damage you first but other than that it was enjoyable enough. I liked that there were a lot more characters you could use in your line up although for pretty much the entire game I stuck with Nepgear, Compa, Nisa and IF. The game was definitely a lot more perverted that the first especially any scene involving CFW Trick. #106 - Wolfenstein: The New Order 18.81% 28th May 2016 Wolfenstein master Collect all trophies Not having played a FPS in a long time I decided to play Wolfenstein. The game was pretty enjoyable however going for a one playthrough platinum and having to get all the collectibles took away some of the enjoyment of the game. I liked the story and being able to dual wield weapons was always fun when the ammo allowed for it. I didn't really care for the cover mechanics as you could only ever peak around the side of something and not over the top which was a bit annoying. #107 - Broken Age 5.79% 3rd June 2016 3.3 Unlock all Broken Age Trophies I absolutely loved Broken Age. I did find Act 1 with Shay somewhat boring but otherwise it was a fantastic story. The way everything interconnected with each other by the end of the game was really well done. It had a great sense of humour throughout the entire game. The graphics looked great and the voice acting was top notch. The game/puzzles weren't too hard and as long as you interacted with everything you could it was easy enough to find out what to do next. #108 - Uncharted 4: A Thief's End 10.54% 10th June 2016 One Last Time Collect All The Trophies It shouldn't come as any surprise to anyone who has played an Uncharted game before that Uncharted 4 is one stunning game. UC4 was a pretty much perfect send off for Nathan Drake, Elena Fisher and Victor Sullivan. It's easily the best looking game I've played so far on PS4 and although I did spend a bit of time admiring the graphics, I didn't stop too often on my first playthrough as I just had to know how the game was going to play out. The game has some breath taking scenery in it and on my 2nd playthrough I took a lot of photos from photo mode. It was great to spend time with Nate, Elena and Sully again and the addition of Nate's older brother Sam was an excellent addition. The relationship between Nate and Sam was fantastic to see and the flashbacks to when they were kids were very moving. Given how the relationship between Nate and his wife Elena ended in Uncharted 3, it was really heart-warming to see that they had worked things out between them and were actively working through their problems. As with other Naughty Dog games there were no loading screens at all while playing the game (unless you skip a cinematic movie) and this helped to immerse you even more in the game. This made the scene early in the game where Nate plays Crash Bandicoot and comments at how long it takes the game to load that much more hilarious. The combat was a lot of fun with a good mixture of gun play and stealth sections. If there's anything that I would fault the game on it was the large number of conveniently placed boxes that could be moved to climb on and the large number of sliding sections in the game. The ability to use Bonuses without disabling trophies was a bit of an odd inclusion as well as it made Crushing difficulty a total cake walk. But other than that UC4 is a very highly recommended game. #109 - BioShock 2 5.38% 25th June 2016 Platinum Trophy Unlocked all trophies Although BioShock 2 is my least favourite of the series I still had a good time with. As with the other games there is a good selection of weapons and Plasmids at your disposal and although the drill was fun to use I did miss the 'One Two Punch' using the wrench from the first BioShock. The multiplayer trophies were a very boring grind especially when going for the DLC trophies as well but I did find a good group of people to boost them with. The Protector Trials DLC were a lot of fun if most easily as well. #110 - Life Is Strange 34.47% 27th June 2016 What If? Unlock all other trophies from Life Is Strange™ Life Is Strange was a great game. It had a really good story and Max's ability to rewind time was very useful as unlike other episodic games if you wanted to change your mind on a decision you didn't need to replay an episode to do so. I really liked the relationship between Max and Chloe and it certainly made me think about how I wanted to treat Chloe when faced with particular situations. #111 - Prototype 2 23.10% 2nd July 2016 Platinum Trophy Unlock all Trophies. I found Prototype 2 to be a very average game especially compared to the first one. The story wasn't overly interesting and the main character Heller was completely unrelatable to me and I just plain didn't care for him at all. I didn't find the combat very fun either. In the end I just ran through the game to get it over with as it was a quick and easy plat. #112 - Mercenary Kings 1.39% 16th July 2016 Imperium Mandragora Island is now your dominion. Mercenary Kings was a very fun game, even more so once you had all gun parts unlocked and could make some kick-ass combinations. Despite the rarity of the plat, it wasn't that hard to earn and I was able to do everything solo although farming for drops endgame was pretty boring. #113 - Tearaway Unfolded 6.23% 23rd July 2016 Perfectionist Collect all the other trophies I had heard plenty of good things about Tearaway on the Vita so when a version was released for the PS4 I jumped at the chance to play it. Tearaway Unfolded was an utterly adorable and cute game. The paper graphics were absolutely beautiful and the sound effects/voices were very well done. The touch pad integration worked really well but trying to draw on it was difficult and made drawing anything resembling what you wanted to draw rather hard. Some of the platforming sections were rather annoying especially one particular difficulty spike near the end of the game and those gophers were a real pain in the ass but overall it was a great game. #114 - Tales of Graces f 8.65% 2nd September 2016 True Grace Acquired all trophies. Amazing! Having never played a JRPG before I wasn't sure what to expect but I was absolutely blown away with Graces f. Before starting the game I asked for any advice in going for the plat and one piece I got was "Prepare to believe in the power of friendship". Although this was in no way useful for getting the plat it was easily the best advice I got as the story and the interactions between the 7 main characters were just fantastic. The story was pretty standard fare for an RPG, save the world from certain doom, but the characters and their personalities were what really made the game so enjoyable. Pascal was easily my favourite as her humour and quirks were funny and charming. Sophie was adorable with things like the way she fully nodded her head and liked to copy other peoples traits. The relationship between Asbel and Cheria was wonderful with Asbel being oblivious to Cheria's feelings for him but Cheria always being embarrassed and defensive when anyone even hinted she liked him. The combat was a lot of fun although I did find myself using the same couple of B-artes constantly as they tended to be more effective than anything else. My first foray into JRPGs was a great experience and I look forward to playing the other 4 Tales of games I have. #115 - Until Dawn 17.66% 4th September 2016 A Symphony of Horror Trophies You collected all Gold, Silver and Bronze trophies in Until Dawn As my PSN ID suggests I like movies. A lot. And as such I have watched plenty of them as well as seeing plenty of horror movies so Until Dawn didn't really do that much for me as a somewhat jaded horror movie fan. That being said I still enjoyed playing Until Dawn. The graphics are easily some of the best available on the PS4 and the facial animations were very detailed. The only thing I didn't care for were the scenes with The Analyst and the "Previously on Until Dawn" sections as they interrupted the gameplay and took you out of it. Until Dawn also has on the best lists of trophy titles around with all of them relating to well known or classic horror movies. #116 - Saints Row IV: Re-Elected 14.71% 11th September 2016 Kingpin Unlock all Trophies in Saints Row IV: Re-elected. Spoiler I absolutely loved Saints Row 3 so I was really looking forward to playing Saints Row 4 however I was rather disappointed with it. The first thing I didn't like was that virtual Steelport was always set to nighttime which I really didn't care for because it meant that everything was always poorly lit and the only way to change this was to complete the game but by then it was already too late. I also didn't care for the enemies in the game being aliens, I'm not sure exactly why but I didn't like it. The story wasn't overly interesting though I did really enjoy the opening section as well as the parts where you are sent to a world in the 1950s. The super powers were fun to use though it did mean that being able to drive cars was virtually useless. The humour was still there but it didn't really help make the game any better. #117 - Dead Island 6.09% 12th September 2016 The Whole World Went Away Collect all other trophies. Spoiler Dead Island is another game that I came back to platinum after first playing when it originally released. Dead Island, despite it bugs and glitches, was a hugely entertaining game to play. The main character I played as was Xian Mei as taking out zombies with knives, swords, cleavers etc seemed like it would be the most effective and fun way to kill zombies. As mentioned in my Dead Island: Riptide review, having the game set on a tropical island was great as pretty much every movie/game ever made concerning zombies is set in a city so it was a very welcome change. There are plenty of different weapons to choose from as well as ways to modify the weapons to give them elemental damage as well and it was always useful to have a gun or grenade handy for groups of zombies. #118 - Grim Fandango Remastered 21.41% 18th September 2016 Number Nine Ticket Get all other trophies in the game. Spoiler I had heard good things about Grim Fandango so when it came to PS+ I grabbed it. Because of all the potentially missable trophies in the game I used a walkthrough for the entire game to save having to do more than 1 playthrough however this didn't mar my enjoyment of it. The tank controls were a major pain in the ass to use and the D-pad made it easier than trying to use the sticks but this was the only thing I didn't like about the game. I really enjoyed the story and the Mexican/Spanish/Aztec themes were a lot of fun too. #119 - Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel (PS4) 3.71% 8th October 2016 Borderland Defender Round 1.5 Unlocked all Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel trophies. Spoiler Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is my least favourite of the 3 games. As with the first 2 games I really liked the humour, graphics and the large array of guns. The story wasn't overly interesting and Jack isn't anywhere near as much fun as he was in Borderlands 2. Having the game set on Pandora's moon meant that there wasn't much in the way of a variety of areas as there was in the first 2 games. My main playthrough was as Wilhelm as his special skill seemed like it would be the most useful which it was however it wasn't as fun as playing as a Gunzerker in BL2. You also have to spend a good chunk of time playing as Claptrap for his respective trophy which was somewhat annoying (unless you can find someone to power-level you) as he was the character I least wanted to play as although some of his skills were rather amusing. #120 - PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate 4.97% 16th October 2016 Great Shot Kid! Collect all other trophies Spoiler PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate sat on my backlog for quite some time before I finally decided to play it but once I started it was a immensely fun game. It's a twin stick shooter that's a combination of the first game and it's sequel that have been redone for the PS4. As you go through levels you have to collect scientists, gems and secret areas (for 100% completion) and then at the end of each episode there is a boss fight. Each episode has different settings to keep things interesting and there are different power ups that can change the way you interact with things in the level. The boss fights weren't too hard although it was useful to read a walkthrough for each of them beforehand. I only played the multiplayer side of things for trophy purposes although one advantage of waiting so long to play it was that it made boosting the MP trophies very quick and easy. #121 - Bully 23.78% 23rd October 2016 Valedictorian Unlock every trophy. Spoiler I'm not sure why Rockstar chose to make a game about bullying people but I knew it was a popular and well-received game so I bought it when it was on sale. The most obvious thing about Bully (Canis Canim Edit in some regions which I think is actually a better name) is the graphics as it was originally released on PS2. Once I got over the characters and their square fingers the game has you playing as Jimmy, a kid who's been kicked out every school he's been to and has come a tough new school, Bullworth Academy. As you make your way through the game to becoming the new 'king' of the school you take 5 different classes and can do jobs to earn money as well as bullying people in different ways for their respective trophies. Overall I did quite enjoy the game even if it was a bit grindy in some places. #122 - Bastion 11.80% 29th October 2016 You Done Good Earn all other Trophies. Spoiler I had Bastion recommended to me as I had really enjoyed playing Transistor. Like Transistor the graphics, soundtrack, game play and storytelling in Bastion are all very well done. There's a good selection of weapons to choose from (even if some are far more useful than others) and combat was a lot of fun. I really liked the story-line and it was wonderfully narrated with a great soundtrack especially the song that Zia sings. The 4 Dream combat arenas with all 10 Idols invoked were definitely a challenge even with the best combination of weapons however with a bit of practice I got through them all. As much as I enjoyed this game overall I liked Transistor better out of the 2 games as I felt it did everything that much better than Bastion. #123 - Saints Row: Gat Out Of Hell 9.68% 31st October 2016 Scorched Savior Collect all other Saints Row: Gat out of Hell trophies Spoiler I wasn't too sure how much I was going to enjoy Gat Out Of Hell since I didn't really care for Saints Row 4 but I was pleasantly surprised to find I enjoyed it far more than SR4. The story line is very short and the majority of your time playing the game is spent getting gold medals in all the activities as well as grinding out all the challenges yet I had a lot of fun with the game. The super powers were a lot of fun to use as well as combining them with other powers. As well as the usual weapons in the game there were also 7 weapons based on the 7 Deadly Sins which were a lot of fun with my favourite being the Sloth weapon called Armchair-A-Geddon which is an arm chair that has mini-guns and rocket launchers on it. Despite most of the time being spend grinding out the 101 different challenges I actually had a lot of fun doing so which isn't common with grinding. #124 - Destiny (PS4) 6.89% 23rd December 2016 Guardian Lord Obtain all trophies in Destiny. Spoiler When I first heard about Destiny it looked and sounded like a fantastic game right up until I found out it was on online only MMO at which point I decided against getting it. However earlier this year something in my head told me I should get The Taken King Legendary edition when it was on special so I did. Given that it isn't a quick plat I decided to play it over my Christmas holidays for 2016/2017 however when I joined Hemiaks Kill Your Completion event I decided to give myself a 3 day preview of it. I played it over a Fri/Sat/Sun to maximize my time with it and I absolutely loved it. After the event finished I decided I couldn't wait to play it again and spent the next month playing it A LOT. I stopped watching movies on weekends and was constantly going to bed far later than I should just to play it that little bit more. There were a few times that I did start to get bored of it as it can become somewhat repetitive but when this happened I tried something new in the game and I got right back into it. My main character is a Titan as that's the class I pretty much always play in RPGs and I'm having a lot of fun with it especially now that I have maxed the Sunbreaker sub-class. There's a good selection of weapons, my favourites being hand cannons and scout rifles. There's also a good range of armour to choose from with some looking better than others and you can also add shaders to give your armour all the same look. There's a lot of content to play through if you have all the DLC and I quite like running Heroic Strikes. Playing it not long after the release of the Rise Of Iron DLC was definitely a good time to start the game although I have now hit the Light Level 385 wall which makes it a lot harder to increase your LL up to 400 which sucks but I shall keep playing it till I have 100% in the game. #125 - Prince Of Persia 21.15% 1st January 2017 Prince of Persia Obtain all other trophies Spoiler Prince Of Persia was a fun enough game but going for the platinum was definitely not. If you've read about any other platformers I have in my collection you'll know that I hate them with a passion. I got this game as part of the PoP HD collection after getting PoP: The Forgotten Sands from PS+ so I could play the previous entries. This game is a pretty standard platformer with hack'n'slash fights in between all the platforming. You get a dagger that allows you to rewind time if something goes wrong in the game however you need to do a playthrough without rewinding more than 20 times which is where my frustration with the game lies. I also managed to miss a collectible despite being careful about getting them all and reaching a checkpoint so I had to do another playthrough just for them. Platinums 126 - 150 Spoiler #126 - Batman 61.47% 2nd January 2017 I'm Batman Complete Batman Spoiler I've always enjoyed Telltale games however Batman is the exception to the rule. The first chapter was a lot of fun but the way they chose to portray Bruce's father didn't sit well with me as it was different to any other version of him from all the Batman movies I have seen. Needless to say I won't be getting the second season. #127 - Stories: The Path Of Destinies 13.84% 5th January 2017 Gray fox is my pup You have explored the Path of Destinies. Spoiler For the most part Stories: The Pathe Of Destinies was a fun game. Over all the basic storyline was the same but there were many different ways to get end. The main problem with the game (or at least going for the platinum) was that you had to play through the game 24 times and after the first few times it starts to get rather tedious. That aside, the combat was fun and I quite liked the graphics. #128 - Tropico 5 2.21% 8th January 2017 Tropico 5 Platinum trophy Collected all other Tropico 5 trophies Spoiler As a kid I used to spend hours and hours playing Sim City 2000 so I downloaded Tropico 5 when it came to PS+. I had an absolutely huge amount of fun however that game had a very steep learning curve. The first time I completed the tutorial I failed which also means the trophy for completing the tutorial doesn't unlock. My second time I did pass it. When I started on the campaign I had to restart at least 4 or 5 times as each time I was unable to build an effective. It took a fair few hours of trial and error to work out a city building formula that was both economically sound and well laid out in terms of each chapters goals. The first few times I restarted was because I my city wasn't making money which meant I couldn't build things to keep my citizens happy which meant I didn't get re-elected which meant I lost the game. The next couple of times I had to restart was because my city layout wasn't effective at repelling invading forces. Once I had learnt how to effectively do these things I was away laughing. The first 2 chapters which sees you building a city on 2 different islands, I spend several hours building and laying out everything I needed to succeed in the game and this made all the future chapters infinitely easier. I also got the DLC on sale so was able to get through those campaigns with no effort at all. The other sections of the game were sandbox which I only played to get the necessary trophies and the same went for the MP aspect of it. #129 - Tales Of Xillia 13.15% 5th February 2017 Lord of Xillia The mark of complete Xillia mastery. Thanks for playing. #130 - Grand Theft Auto III 16.44% 11th February 2017 King of Liberty City Unlock all trophies. Spoiler I never played any of the Grand Theft Auto games when I was younger so when I saw the GTA Trilogy on sale I grabbed them to see what all the fuss was about. Back in the day they were no doubt revolutionary but playing them so many years later wasn’t the best experience. The storyline was decent enough and it’s set in a pretty good sized city with lots of cars and weapons but that’s where it stopped being good. While there was a mini map there was no overall map and no way to plot courses like modern games and this made getting around something of a hassle. Combat was just plain annoying as the controls were again completely different to modern games so needless to say I died more than I would cared to have. All I can say is I’m glad the cheats didn’t disable trophies otherwise I doubt I would have had the patience to platinum this game. #131 - Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory 17.50% 22nd February 2017 Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory Victor! "Gamindustri's got nothing left to offer you! Thanks so much for being awesome!" -Neptune #132 - Need For Speed Rivals (PS4) 7.94% 26th February 2017 Platinum Trophy Earn all Need for Speed™ Rivals Trophies #133 - Horizon Zero Dawn 30.49% 11th March 2017 All trophies obtained Obtained all Horizon Zero Dawn trophies. Spoiler Horizon Zero Dawn was an absolutely fantastic game. The graphics were amazing and would have been even better if I had have had my 4K TV when I played it. Aloy is a great character to play as and the NPC allies were really well done also. When the game first starts we see what the world has become but we don't know how it happened and as the game progresses we uncover more of the truth until finally finding out the chilling reality of what happened. The best aspect of the game however is the robot animals/dinosaurs and taking them down with the various weapons. There is a range of different enemies, some of which are docile and others which are hostile, some fly in the sky and others hide in the water. The granddaddy of them all however is the fearsome Thunderjaw. Taking down my first one was a real thrill as it took awhile since I was most likely underlevelled at the time. Weapons include 3 different bows than can do different types of damages as well slingshots and a ropecaster for tying down larger enemies. There is also a spear for taking on enemies up close and personal. The environments the game is set in are gorgeous and include snowy mountain ranges, sandy deserts and lush greens jungles. Along the way there are challenges you can complete to help you level up as well as bandit camps to overthrow. #134 - Zombie Army Trilogy 10.00% 17th March 2017 You have no reason to fear the dead Platinum Trophy Spoiler Zombie Army Trilogy sets you in a universe where Hitler is on the verge of losing WW2 and proceeds to enact Plan Z which unleashes hordes of Nazi zombies on the world. The game was immensely fun although trying to take out zombies with a sniper rifle isn't exactly easy given how they move. There a 15 levels to play through with a number of different types of zombies. I went for a one playthrough plat which meant playing on the hardest difficulty. There were a few parts in the game that were on the hard side but I managed to get through them solo with a bit of trial and error. Horde Mode was a lot of fun however to get anywhere you really needed to have multiple people with you as each wave gets progressively harder. #135 - Assassin's Creed Revelations (PS3) 8.41% 1st April 2017 The Conqueror Get Every Trophy #136 - Lego Jurassic Park 26.24% 8th April 2017 Life Finds A Way Collect all of the Trophies Spoiler Jurassic Park is the first and last Lego game I'll play. I decided to give it a go to see what it was like and quite frankly it was boring. The game follows a very watered down version of the 4 Jurassic Park movies. Half of the time is spent going after all the collectibles and the other half is spent breaking everything in sight to earn studs. From what I've seen and heard of other Lego games, they all seem to have this same basic gameplay so I won't be going near another one. #137 - Salt And Sanctuary 17.68% 9th April 2017 Saltborn Achieve all possible trophies. Spoiler The Souls series is my all time favourite game series so when I heard Salt And Sanctuary was a 2D platforming (yes I know I hate them) Soulsesque game I had to get it. All the graphics in the game are hand drawn and they are absolutely gorgeous. There is a range of different classes that can be developed in to different builds via the Skill Tree. I went with a Great Sword build which was a lot of fun. The game plays out like any other Souls game. Sanctuaries are your home base where you cab find merchants and replenish your health and healing potions. You have to work your way through each area until and reach the boss who you must defeat to move forward. Killing enemies gives you Salt which is used to level up. If you die your salt is left with the enemy who killed you or an 'other worldly creature' if you happen to fall to your death. As much as I don't like platformers the platforming was pretty easy except for one section which has platformers appearing/disappearing. #138 - Wolfenstein: The Old Blood 16.77% 14th April 2017 The Old Blood master Collect all trophies #139 - Fallout 4 11.93% 22nd April 2017 Platinum Trophy Collect all other 50 Trophies for this Trophy Spoiler Fallout 3 is one of my top 5 favourite games and New Vegas was fantastic as well however I just couldn't get into Fallout 4 in the same way as I did for the other 2 games. Weapons were not a lot of fun or that great to use until you could level up enough to unlock the ability to make gun mods and even then you had to level up a lot to be able to unlock all 4 ranks of gun modding. The building side of things I found to be completely useless as I had no interest in it and all I ever needed was a place to store excess gear. The story was nothing special but then again the thing that I like most about the Fallout games is exploring the world around you. Although there were a few companions that I liked, like the first 2 games I didn't want to take any with me as I never found them to be all that useful but since there is a trophy for reaching the maximum relationship level with a companion I took Piper along with me because you know, she was pretty good looking . Though I do have to admit it was quite fun giving her a Super Sledge and watching her go apeshit at enemies with it lol. Like 3 and NV there was a heap of DLC that was released for it. The 3 workshop DLCs were a waste of time as I had no interest in building anything but the other 3 had new story lines and Nuka World and Far Harbour had new areas to explore which were a lot of fun. I waited till all DLC was out then got the Season Pass on sale and taking a week off work between 2 public holidays meant I could do some serious no-lifing and currently I have the fastest 100% time. #140 - Zombi 3.35% 29th April 2017 The Ultimate Survivor Earn every Trophy in the game Spoiler Zombi was a PS+ game and while it was okay I can’t say I would’ve wanted to pay for it. My main problem with this game was that although there were a few different weapons, melee weapons were always the easiest as they didn’t require ammo but using them tended to be a lesson in frustration. This was because if you didn’t hit a zombie in the right way then it would do no damage whatsoever meaning you could technically hit a zombie hundreds of times and not kill them. Other than this the game was enjoyable enough though if the difficulties had’ve stacked then you could plat the game in 1 or 2 playthroughs instead of 3. #141 - Danganronpa 1-2 Reload 10.30% 21st May 2017 Despair's Last Reward Earned every other trophy in the game Spoiler I have heard nothing but praise for the Danganronpa games on the Vita so I jumped at the chance to play them when I heard the were coming out on PS4. Unfortunately someone made a very annoying decision to give the 2 games a combined trophy list which meant twice the work for half the reward compared to playing them on Vita but ultimately I was just glad for the chance to play them. I really enjoyed the first game and I really liked all but one of the characters. It was fun going through each investigation for the murders trying to work out who the killer could be as you come across clues as well as getting snippets about how the characters came to be where they were and why they were there. While I did use a guide for all the class trials so I didn't have to repeat anything I would always pick the answer I thought was correct before checking to see whether I was right. I didn't enjoy the second game anywhere near as much as it felt like a case of been there, done that. I also didn't like quite a few of the characters in ti and was always happy if one of them got killed off. The class trials weren't as fun either as they were much longer and more complex and some of the mini games in them were just plain annoying. That being said I will give the third game a go as well as getting the fourth at some point. #142 - Far Cry Primal 27.63% 27th May 2017 Apex Predator Obtain all the Trophies. Spoiler Far Cry Primal was an immensely fun game. The storyline was simply there to drive your character further into the world but the real fun came in exploring the world. The game is set 10,000 years ago when men were hunter-gathers and they most dangerous animals around were woolly mammoths and sabre tooth tigers. The world was absolutely beautiful to explore. Your main weapons in the game are your spear and bow. I've really enjoyed hunting with a bow in other games I've played however Primal is a whole other story since those are the only weapons you have as there are no guns to rely on if things get tough. On the plus side however it is possible to tame animals in the game and riding around on the back of a sabre tooth tiger while hunting mammoths is utterly thrilling. As well as the main story line there are plenty of side quests to keep you busy as well as no shortage of collectibles to find to help you level up along the way. As with other Far Cry games I enjoyed taking down the outposts and forts and using a bow to snipe enemies from a distance made things a lot more interesting. #143 - Styx: Master Of Shadows 2.36% 8th June 2017 All the trophies Unlock all trophies #144 - Color Guardians 21.63% 11th June 2017 Legendary Win all trophies in the game! #145 - Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary World Tour 47.73% 5th July 2017 Hail to the King! Completed all trophies for the game! Spoiler I don’t remember just how old I was but I first played this game when I was at an age that I shouldn’t have been playing this game. I’m fairly certain I got the game off a friend as my parents certainly wouldn’t have gotten it for me. If there’s one thing I remember from playing the game back then it was going up to a stripper and pushing spacebar then moving back as quickly as I could so when she flashed you her boobs they were slightly less pixelated. I got this version of the game because of nostalgia. The game has plenty of low brow humour which is part of the appeal and a good range of fun weapons. As a side note I also played the original Duke Nukem game when I was a kid though it was very likely a free ware version so I never got very far in it. #146 - The Walking Dead: A New Frontier 80.67% 6th July 2017 A New Frontier Completed The Walking Dead: A New Frontier Spoiler The first 2 Walking Dead Telltale games were fantastic but I didn’t really like the third and the main reason is because Clementine wasn’t the main (or one of the main) characters. I disliked this game enough that it put me off wanting to play the fourth and final game in the series. #147 - Day Of The Tentacle Remastered 36.90% 7th July 2017 OCD Get all other trophies in the game #148 - Sniper Elite 3 3.92% 16th July 2017 Platinum Trophy Win all other trophies to take your place as the world's greatest sniper Spoiler Sniper Elite 3 is from the same developers as Zombie Army Trilogy and is a just as much fun. SE3 is set during World War 2 which I really liked since back then they didn't have sophisticated weapons like we do these days, they just had a rifle with a scope. When it comes to shooters I love using a sniper rifle to kill unaware enemies from a distance so this game was right up my alley. The game takes place across 8 missions and the areas they take place in are a decent size. There are multiple rifles to choose from as well as close range weapons and explosives. Throughout the game there are objects that make loud sounds that can be used to mask your gunfire meaning you can play the game very stealthily or go in guns blazing (though that kind of defeats the purpose of being a sniper). There is multiplayer available however I only played this as much as I needed to for the trophies. Playing the game in co-op was a lot of fun. Playing on Authentic difficulty removes your mini-map and bullet drop indicator as well as your ability to tag enemies. There is a glitch to get these things back which I used when playing on Authentic in co-op however if the host player dies they lose this glitch but it turned out that playing the game through just once with the bullet drop indicator on meant when I did lose it I was still able to hit targets fairly accurately without it. #149 - The Deadly Tower Of Monsters 24.43% 16th July 2017 Laundry list Complete all other missions Spoiler As a huge fan of movies The Deadly Tower Of Monsters was absolutely brilliant. I have seen plenty of camp, cheesy and classic sci-fi movies from the 50s and this game referenced and poked fun at plenty of them as well as others. Although it is a game, it plays out as though your character is filming a movie. Throughout the entire game the 'director' gives commentary on what the player is doing and why as well as some background information on them and how the movie was made even going as far as making amusing comments if you happen to go AFK or die. The combat is a lot of fun and you can equip both ranged and melee weapons (one ranged weapon is a modern day electric shaver). You have to work your way up a huge tower to defeat the main boss with other boss fights along they way. Combat is also 2.5D as you can aim your ranged weapon vertically down from surfaces. This game is not for everyone as if you haven't seen some or all of the material the movie references and absolutely revels in then you will probably find the commentary annoying. #150 - Mass Effect Andromeda 5.55% 4th August 2017 Andromeda's Finest Collect all trophies. Spoiler The original Mass Effect trilogy are not only some of my favourite games of all time but it is also my pick for best video game series of all time. When I heard there was a 4th game coming out (even though the story wasn't going to be about Shepard) I couldn't wait to play it. I decided to make Andromeda my 150th plat as Dark Souls (2nd game in the series) was my first plat and Dark Souls 3 (4th game in the series) was my 100th, Mass Effect 2 (2nd game in the series) was my 50th so Andromeda (4th game in the series) would be my 150th in keeping with the pattern. When the game first released it didn't review very well especially when compared to the first games however I wasn't going to pass judgement until I had played it myself. I didn't play it until I had reached 149 plats and by that time a few patches had been released that fixed some of the complaints about the game. I went into it wanting to like it but it really just wasn't that great a game. The overall story about 5 ships with tens of thousands of Milky Way inhabitants searching for planets to colonise in the Andromeda galaxy given the impending arrival of the Reapers was good but the characters were mostly forgettable. The character you play as just wasn't interesting or inspiring in the way that Shepard was and the NPC allies were rather bland as well with PeeBee being the only one I liked and cared for (though not quite as much as I liked Liara). Combat was a lot of fun and unlike the first games where you chose a class and were given set skills, in Andromeda you could build a hybrid of 2 or even 3 skill trees. The jump jet on your suit was useful for getting around the Nomad was a much better vehicle than the Mako. I did pretty much everything there was to do on my first playthrough however I did a speedrun on Insanity difficulty as the game just wasn't good enough to invest another full playthrough in. FilmFanatic
Platinums 151 - 175 Spoiler #151 - Assault Suit Leynos 3.61% 8th August 2017 Heavy Armor Master Completed the Mastery List - you're a top AS pilot! Spoiler Assault Suit Leynos is the first game I have platinumed as part of the PSNP Weeblympics. ASL is a side scrolling shooter that is a remake of a game of the same name that originally released on the Sega Genesis. The game is pretty short and a lot of fun but going for the platinum can be somewhat frustrating. As you play through the game you get ranked for each mission and getting a good rank unlocks new weapons to use however quitting straight out of the game if you didn't earn the trophy you need on a specific level meant new weapons didn't unlock as well as some level specific trophies which meant I had to delete my save and start over again once I had completed the game. #152 - Watch Dogs 2 19.98% 19th August 2017 Graduation Day Win every trophy #153 - Tales Of Xillia 2 7.61% 16th September 2017 Lord of Xillia 2 The mark of complete Xillia 2 mastery. Thanks for playing! #154 - Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunter 5.62% 30th September 2017 Ghost Hunter Completionist! You got every trophy! Spoiler I bought this game as one to do for the Weeblympics event on hPSNP. It’s part visual novel and the combat (if you want to call it that) is basically like a board game. It’s been a while since I played it but I do remember it being pretty fun. The best part of the game is a mini game called Hypernatural. It took me more than a few tries to get the hang of how it worked but once I knew what it was doing I loved it to the point that it’s one of my top 3 favourite mini games. #155 - Grand Theft Auto: Vice City 11.06% 13th October 2017 Kingpin Unlock all trophies. #156 - DriveClub 4.87% 22nd October 2017 #UniteInSpeed Collect all of the other trophies. Spoiler I grew up playing Gran Turismo and absolutely loved them but GT5 put me off playing circuit racing games but when I saw DriveClub on sale one day I decided to give it a go as I heard good things about it. This game definitely got me back into racing games again and I loved it. Good selection of cars and lots of tracks. The platinum was easy enough but going for 100% is somewhat harder. In most cases it was just a matter of practice makes perfect. There were a few tough events but nothing that perseverance couldn’t overcome. The only issue I had with the game was the number of DLC events that had pitch black tracks and atrocious weather. This just made things frustrating and for night races the only real option was to turn my TV brightness up to the max so I could actually see where I was going. #157 - I Am Setsuna 17.85% 7th November 2017 A Tale from a Land of Snow Obtained all trophies. Spoiler I Am Setsuna was a wonderful little old school styled RPG. The story line was par for course for this type of game but I liked all the characters and the way they interacted with each other. The combat was semi turn-based and a lot of fun once you reached higher levels and unlocked new moves. #158 - Alienation 6.51% 25th November 2017 Alienated Get all trophies Spoiler Alienation is a top down shooter from the same developers as Dead Nation. The game was a heap of fun. There are 3 classes to choose from each with there own specific primary weapon type (though any class can use them) as well secondary, heavy weapons and grenades/mines. All the weapons were different and all had pros and cons to them and overall they were awfully fun to use. The campaign was really good with lots of different enemies but playing the game in co-op was definitely more fun than playing it on my own. #159 - Prince Of Persia: Warrior Within 12.58% 7th December 2017 Warrior Within Obtain all other trophies #160 - XBlaze Code: Embyro 67.36% 10th December 2017 Successor to the Azure Completed XBLAZE #161 - forma.8 12.36% 14th December 2017 formed Adventurer Unlock all other trophies #162 - Killzone 2 2.03% 6th January 2018 War Hero Collect all Killzone 2 trophies Spoiler I played the first Killzone on PS2 so naturally I bought this when it came out. It’s been a while since I platted it but I do remember the game being very enjoyable. I wasn’t really trophy hunting when I first played the game but when it was announced the servers were going to be shut down I figured I’d have a go at getting the MP trophies done even though the hardest trophy required placing in the top 1% of the leaderboard for any given week. It was very lucky that this announcement was made while I was on Xmas break as it meant I had all the time in the world to play it. I spent most of about three days boosting kills and ended up with around 18k points which netted me 3rd on the leaderboard as well as the corresponding trophies. It was also lucky I went for the leaderboard trophies straight away as 3 months later when everyone was going for those trophies you were needing at least 1m points to have a hope of being in the top 1%. The only other trophy that was difficult for the plat was beating the game on Elite difficulty. Most of the game wasn’t too bad but the final level took me many hours to complete. #163 - Bladestorm: Nightmare 0.35% 12th January 2018 BLADESTORM Obtained all trophies. #164 - Guardians Of The Galaxy 69.39% 12th January 2018 A Little Help From My Friends Completed Guardians of the Galaxy Spoiler This is a Telltale game so gameplay is self explanatory. The best part of the game is definitely the soundtrack and my favourite character was Mantis. #165 - Prince Of Persia: The Two Thrones 12.35% 23rd January 2018 Two Thrones Obtain all other trophies #166 - Dungeon Punks 7.08% 28th January 2018 Collector of Souls Obtain all trophies #167 - Prince Of Persia: The Forgotten Sands 23.54% 2nd February 2018 Sand Master Unlock all other trophies. #168 - Tales Of Symphonia 2.78% 11th March 2018 Symphonia Master You have obtained all trophies. You have mastered Symphonia! #169 - XBlaze Lost: Memories 54.95% 11th March 2018 Omnipotent Obtained all of the trophies in the game. #170 - Amnesia Collection 3.78% 16th March 2018 Insanity Achieved all other trophies. #171 - RiME 23.03% 17th March 2018 The end is a new beginning Obtain all trophies. #172 - Starwhal 0.99% 24th March 2018 Cosmic Baller Unlocked all game trophies. Spoiler Starwhal has you playing as a narwhal in two different game modes. Either getting to the end of a level under a specific time or stabbing all the hearts in a level. Despite the rarity the plat isn’t all that hard but does take some practise as the controls really are just awful. #173 - Mirror's Edge Catalyst 8.41% 30th March 2018 The Few. The Elite. Unlock all Mirror's Edge™ Catalyst Trophies #174 - Claire 12.79% 30th March 2018 Completionist Acquire all trophies. #175 - Nioh 14.78% 28th April 2018 You Are Nioh Obtained all trophies. Spoiler Of all the Souls-like games I have played, Nioh is by far my favourite. The game is divided into different areas with each area having a set of maps that missions are played on. All the main missions have a bunch of shortcuts that eventually open up all the shrines and mean that once it’s time to take on the boss you can get to them without having to fight any enemies on the way. The game is set in feudal Japan which made for a great backdrop and the enemies were a mixture of humans and yokai (demons). The best part of the game is the combat. The combat is far deeper than a Souls game as you have 3 different stances, high stance for big damage at the cost of high use of ki (stamina), low stance for using minimal ki at the cost of not much damage and mid stance which is in the middle of the other two. Each kind of weapon also has unlockable moves that you can use as well. I’m the sort of person that, before I start a game where you can make a build, I like to decide on just what I’m going to go with before I start the game. I had a look online at what weapon types were available and I eventually decided to go with dual swords as I’d played many RPGs using just a single sword so I wanted something new. Dual swords was a fantastic choice and incredibly fun to use. For each weapon type there are many different choices for that weapon type and a huge number of armour sets making for a massive range of builds you could use. One of the DLCs included a trophy for completing every mission in the base game on Way Of The Demon difficulty and all 3 DLCs had a trophy for completing every DLC mission on that difficulty as well. The way Nioh does difficulties/NG+s is an interesting one. When you complete NG this will open a new difficulty that serves as NG+. When you complete NG+ that will open a third difficulty which serves as NG++ with the game having a total of 5 difficulties. However, when you move onto a new NG all previous NGs are still available meaning you can swap between all 5 difficulties at any time. Way Of The Demon or NG++ is by far the best difficulty to be playing on as that is where the game truly starts. For your first 2 playthroughs you can go with whatever armour/weapons/stat allocations you want as it doesn’t matter too much. However Way Of The Demon is a huge step up compared to the change between the the first two difficulties. The build that you had been using will have to be thrown out the door as it will be useless for WotD and you have to have a build that is purposely for WotD difficulty. This is because all bosses and minibosses have up to 6 buffs that make them considerably tougher. Even standard enemies can have a buff or two. I have seen plenty of people on this website say the WotD is very difficult and I can guarentee every single one of them was not playing the game “properly”. I came across a dual sword tank build that was built around survivability as opposed to massive damage out put and it was simply amazing. WotD was incredibly easy with this build and I can count on one hand the number of times I died across the entire game with most deaths caused by not having played DLC missions on an easier difficulty first so not knowing my way around them. I spent 175 hours 100%ing Nioh and I loved every single second of it. Platinums 176 - 200 Spoiler #176 - Life Is Strange: Before The Storm 64.29% 29th April 2018 Bring on the Storm Complete all other trophies #177 - Sheltered 8.81% 6th May 2018 Hardcore Survivalist Unlock all Trophies #178 - This War Of Mine: The Little Ones 5.57% 12th May 2018 Epilogue: This War of Mine: The Little Ones What's next? Thank you for playing this far! #180 - Dark Souls Remastered 27.15% 3rd June 2018 The Dark Soul All trophies obtained. Congratulations! Spoiler There’s nothing to say here that I didn’t already say in my review of the PS3 game other than it was fantastic to be able to plat one of my all time favourite games again. #181 - Red Dead Redemption 3.25% 3rd June 2018 Legend of the West You've become a true legend of the west! Spoiler Red Dead Redemption wasn’t just plat #181, I also made it trophy milestone #10,000 as it is my all time favourite game. The game is set during the waning years of the Wild West. You play John Marston, a former outlaw who is tasked with tracking down your former gang members. When the game first game out it looked stunning though coming back to plat it and playing it on a 4K TV, not so much. Your main mode of transport is on horseback which was a refreshing change from open world games with driving everywhere. It features a pretty big map with lots of different types of landscapes. One of my favourite things to do was sit on horseback, high up on a cliff watching the sun set over a red desert with a sparkling blue river down below. There were plenty of guns to use including revolvers, lever action rifles and dynamite. There was a shooting mechanic called Deadeye which allowed you to slow down time and mark where you were going to shoot before triggering the firing which was a lot of fun. Along the way you also partook in other activities from the era like herding cattle, lassoing people or playing horse shoe. Being a Rockstar game there were plenty of memorable characters. It also had a great soundtrack. #182 - God Of War (2018) 29.27% 10th June 2018 Father and Son Obtain all other trophies Spoiler God Of War is one of my favourite game series but I just couldn’t get into this game as much as most people did. The game was great from a technical view but the things I loved about the other games were gone. Combat was no longer over the top combos and laying waste to large groups of enemies at a time. Your main weapon is no longer the Blades Of Chaos/Athena but instead the Leviathan Axe. Although you do eventually get the Blades Of Chaos , I eventually found the Axe to be the better weapon. Kratos is no longer the angry vengeful man hellbent on doing what he has to do to the point that even the king of the gods, Zeus himself, will stop him. The game isn’t even set in ancient Greek mythology anymore but in Norse mythology. The other thing that gets annoying quickly is boy. Kratos is a father again, this time to a son. And he almost always call him boy, over and over and over ad infinitum. Even if you’ve never played the game this is the one thing you will very likely know about it. #183 - PSYCHO-PASS: Mandatory Happiness 17.98% 15th June 2018 Trophy Complete You have obtained all trophies Spoiler I got this game from PS+ which was a good thing because it turned out to be a very boring visual novel. I did my first playthrough but once I started my second I thought to myself, I really didn’t enjoy my first, so I used text skip to get the plat so I could move onto something else. #184 - Mugen Souls Z 1.74% 8th July 2018 The Undisputed God...Is You! You obtained every last trophy! Truly YOU are the undisputed god of this game! #185 - Anima: Gate Of Memories 5.71% 14th July 2018 All Trophies Obtain the other trophies. #186 - Mafia 3 5.89% 28th July 2018 Let the Good Times Roll Obtained All Mafia III: Definitive Edition Trophies Spoiler Mafia 3 is a great game. It has a good story line and I really liked the main characters. It has been criticised for having very repetitive gameplay and while I guess it does I didn’t find it to be so and had a lot of fun with the combat. There was a good selection of fast cars for getting around the city and it has one of the best soundtracks I’ve heard in a game. There are collectibles but no trophies associated with them and no in game reward for collecting them and that’s because the collectibles themselves are the rewards, well 2 of them are. The collectibles I went after were the Playboy magazines which once collected shows you a few pages from the actual magazine including the centrefold. The other is Vargas paintings which are paintings of pin-up girls by Alberto Vargas. #187 - Darksiders Warmastered Edition 19.69% 3rd August 2018 BFA Unlocked EVERYTHING! Spoiler I picked up the Darksiders 2 remaster from PS+ so whenI I was this remaster on sale for just under $5 I decided to grab it. When I played the PS3 versions I liked 2 much more than 1 but playing them both again I much preferred 1 to 2. Looking back, the main and probably only reason I liked 2 more was because you eventually got the ability to craft weapons meaning you could craft a weapon that gives health back on a hit making you pretty much unkillable. #188 - Darksiders 2 Deathinitive Edition 6.20% 12th August 2018 BFA Unlock Everything #189 - No No Kuni: Wrath Of The White Witch 8.83% 1st September 2018 Wizardry Whiz Awarded for becoming a master magician. Congratulations! You truly are a whiz at wizardry! #190 - Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice 41.08% 1st September 2018 Done Collect all of the other trophies Spoiler Hellblade is very easily one of the best gaming experiences I’ve ever had. You play a young Pict warrior named Senua who, like her mother, suffers from psychosis. The main symptoms of her psychosis are hearing voices which is why this game has to be played with headphones and hallucinations. The game is divided into sections with combat and puzzles which work in extremely well with her hallucinations. The game is reasonably short at around 8 hours but is an enthralling experience the entire time. It is a very emotional game and once it finished and the credits start rolling the song Illusion by VNV Nation started playing it hit me like a ton of bricks. The game also includes a behind the scenes look at the making of the game and was incredibly interesting and well worth a watch. #191 - Shadow Of The Colossus (PS3) 2.49% 16th September 2018 Wander and the Colossus Acquired all Trophies #192 - Odin Sphere Leifthrasir 22.54% 23rd September 2018 Odin Sphere Obtained all trophies! #193 - Project Cars 1.74% 6th October 2018 One More For The Road Earned all other Trophies Spoiler Having gotten back into racing games playing Driveclub I wanted another racing game to play so I bought Project Cars. It turns out PC is a racing simulator so I had to throw by usual style of driving out the door and learn how to drive properly. The good thing about this game is you can choose what difficulty to set the AI drivers to so I set the driver difficulty to 0 while I learnt to drive. I ended up keeping that difficulty the entire time I played it but I really should have turned it up a bit since I easily won basically every race but even so I had a lot of fun playing PC. As well as the usual quick races the game has different motorsport disciplines you can race in for career mode. For the most part cars were easy enough to handle once you found out how well they braked and cornered but there were a few vehicles that I had to find different set ups for online because the default set up made them undrivable. Although I still prefer arcade racers I absolutely loved this game. #194 - Wasteland 2 4.06% 20th October 2018 King of the Wasteland Collect all trophies #195 - Red Dead Redemption 2 2.31% 11th December 2018 Legend of the West Legend of the West Spoiler Red Dead Redemption 2 is the sequel to Red Dead Redemption (? really) and story wise it is a prequel where you play as Arthur Morgan before their outlaw gang was broken up. Firstly the game. RDR2 while being a great game wasn’t as good as the first for me. The map is absolutely huge, incorporating nearly the entire map from the first game and pretty much doubling it with new areas. There was an absolute plethora of animals inhabiting the world, no shortage of side activities to partake in and lots of great secrets to discover, my favourite being an NPC who is looking for his friend Gavin who wanders most of the map looking for him. The campaign is massive taking around 60 hours just to finish the storyline. As for the reasons why I didn’t like this game as much as the first. My biggest gripe is that the game was made to be as realistic as possible. Want Arthur to be clean shaven, then shave every day. Don’t want Arthur looking dirty, then bathe every day. Don’t want any side effects from being under weight or over weight, then eat exactly the right amount of food. Games are meant to be an escape from reality so having to do things in a game I already have to do in real life was not fun (although most of the time I didn’t bother). Playing through the campaign the first time wasn’t anything special but I did find that when I came back to do gold medals knowing how the game plays!, I did actually like the campaign more. Then there was the trophy list. It took me around 250 hours to plat RDR2 and it is one of the worst experiences I’ve had platting a game. The single player trophies took a very long time. The side quests had you doing fetch quests all over the map as well has dozens and dozens of collectibles. Tracking down and skinning every animal was boring and frustrating as some took a long time to get them to spawn in to the game. Then there was the MP. I started the MP a week after it went live and at that time there was almost nothing to do outside of the 6(?) story missions. The quickest way to level 50 was replaying the last checkpoint of the last mission over and over and over again which is probably the worst grind I’ve ever had to do. Saving up enough money for 5 stables was the last big thing to do and again was just boring and time consuming. #196 - Cat Quest 76.35% 14th December 2018 Le Platinum Trophy MEOW! Spoiler Cat Quest is a pretty simple game. You’re a cat, on a quest. There are a lot of cat puns, maybe even a few too many. Combat is reasonably fun. If there’s one thing I have noticed about this game, it’s that I have yet to come across anyone on here who didn’t like the game. It may be quick (well not so much by todays 30 second plats) and easy but it is just so very entertaining. #197 - Monster Hunter: World 5.28% 8th January 2019 Conqueror of the New World Unlock all trophies for Monster Hunter: World. Spoiler Monster Hunter: World was an incredibly fun game. It is also the only game I can recall where the grind (in this case for gold crowns) was actually fun. By the time I had done everything in the story line I still had quite a few crowns to go and spent a good 40/50 hours grinding the ones I needed yet at no time was it ever boring or felt like a chore. It certainly helped that another player and PSNP user had released a series of videos of how to gauge whether a monster was likely to give a gold crown. For my weapon I went with the long sword as it was the easiest to learn as well as being my go to weapon in games. When doing arena quests you had to choose from preset loadouts so I did have a go at using other weapons and while I did like some of them, the long sword was still my favourite. I played most of the game, including all story related missions, solo and hunted all but the elder dragon crowns solo. Despite this I did spent a lot of time doing co-op by answering distress flares and running around a map in a group of 4 slaughtering monsters was a heap of fun. #198 - Undertale 48.90% 8th January 2019 Don't You Have Anything Better to Do? Obtain all other Undertale trophies. Spoiler I decided to get Undertale based on all the rave reviews I had read about it. Big mistake, at least for me. I cannot even begin to fathom why so many people like this game so much as I hated it. The only good thing about it was that you didn’t need to finish playing the game to get the plat and as soon as I had popped the plat, I deleted it as fast as I could. Since this I have now become more wary about by games based on how many people say it is good and do a bit more research before I buy a game based on how many good reviews it gets. #199 - Grand Theft Auto San Andreas 12.86% 15th January 2019 The Key to San Andreas Unlock all trophies (the use of cheats will disable all trophies). #200 - Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen (PS4) 8.15% 4th February 2019 The True Arisen Collected all other Dragon's Dogma trophies. Spoiler Dragon’s Dogma is one of my all time favourite games which is why I made the PS4 version #200. This time around I went with pure bow/daggers class instead of the hybrid sword/shield or bow/daggers Assassin class. The trophy list had been reworked to include trophies for the DLC and one annoying trophy for speed running the game. Outside of that it was great to be able to plat the game again. Platinums 201 - 225 Spoiler #201 - Gravity Rush Remastered 25.34% 9th February 2019 It's all Relative Collected every trophy. Congratulations! #202 - Deus Ex: Mankind Divided 2.47% 27th February 2019 #CantKillProgress You experienced Deus Ex: Mankind Divided™ and collected all trophies. Congrats! #203 - Port Royale 3 3.09% 10th March 2019 Poseidon All Trophies received #204 - Demon's Souls (NA) 10.17% 16th March 2019 Toughest Soul Trophy All Trophies Obtained Spoiler Given how much I love the Souls series I decided to stack the NA version. Having played the game legit on the EU stack I decided to abuse the duplication glitch to level up very quickly and strengthen all my weapons. It was fun being able to go through the game without having to worry about health having full stacks of every healing item and easily destroying every enemy and boss you encounter. #205 - Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice 27.14% 6th April 2019 Sekiro All trophies have been unlocked. Spoiler When I found out that From Software was releasing a new game that was similar to the Souls series it was an instant day one purchase and play for me. Not that it would have put me off buying the game but I probably should have had a closer look at the game before it came out. I didn’t want to know anymore than I needed to about the game before it came out so I had no idea that the entire combat system was built around parrying. And what is one thing I’m rubbish at in games so rarely bother doing it, yep, parrying. This meant that I found the game pretty hard. Unlike a Souls game there was no co-op to make things easier. Increasing your health is done by finding collectibles and increasing your attack involves defeating bosses. In other words, if you are struggling, your only option is to “git gud”. This is exactly what I had to do. Some bosses I was able to defeat slowly by just chipping away at their health but there were a few bosses where this didn’t work and I had to knuckle down and learn their move set and how to counter each attack. Outside of that it was an excellent game and while it had some similar mechanics to a Souls game, it was also different enough that it didn’t feel like a Souls game. The only annoying thing was screwing up at some point meaning I had to do a third playthrough for the plat. #206 - Steins;Gate 47.10% 13th April 2019 Sky Clad Observer Unlocked all trophies. Spoiler Steins;Gate is easily the best visual novel I’ve ever played and can say it is the best VN I will ever play. I won’t go into details on the plot as it can get complicated quickly but it is the best story I have ever come across anywhere and that includes games, movies, tv series and books. Gameplay is almost nonexistent where occasionally replying to a text message will determine which ending you get. The game has 5 different endings. The first four are bad endings that are simply awful and heart breaking. By far the worst for me was Lukas ending which nearly had me in tears it was so tragic. The good news is that like so many Japanese games, the last ending is the True ending which is the best ending. And as bad as the other endings were, it made the True ending that much better. I really liked all the main characters including the one who is something of an antagonist but my favourite is Mayushii who is just the loveliest, most innocent and kind person you could ever want to meet and the way she says (sings really) tutturu when greeting people is just adorable. #207 - Akiba's Trip: Undead & Undressed 9.52% 21st April 2019 Advent of the Akiba God Obtained every trophy. #208 - Tales Of Symphonia: Dawn Of The New World 4.24% 11th May 2019 True Dawn of the New World You have obtained all trophies. This truly is the dawn of a new world! #209 - 2064: Read Only Memories 7.34% 16th May 2019 Plasteel and Silica Unlock all other trophies #210 - Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered 9.61% 19th May 2019 Just another day at the office Earn all available trophies for Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® Remastered. Spoiler On the PS3 this game was called Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. It was one of the first PS3 games I had and is in my top five favourite games of all time. It is also one of the most enjoyable and entertaining games I have ever played. The two main reason I like this game so much are the levels Death From Above and All Ghillied Up. Death From Above has you in an AC-130 Spectre gunship providing close air support for you team on the ground. You get control of the 20mm cannon, 40mm Bofors cannon and a 105mm howitzer. The mission takes place at night so you are using infrared cameras while your team on the ground has strobe lights to designate them as friendlies. All Ghillied Up is a flashback mission where you are the shooter in a two man sniper team tasked with taking out a terrorist. The mission doesn’t go according to plan and you are spotted and shot at by an attack helicopter that causes your partner to break his leg meaning you have to carry him back to the exfil point. Along the way you have to stop every so often to take out enemies that are chasing you and when you finally get to the exfil point you are told your ride out is 10 minutes away and you have a large number of enemies soldiers closing in on you so you will have to dig and defend your position. Although these are my two favourite levels the entire game was fantastic and filled with non stop action. I had played a number of first person shooters before this but they had all been either set in World War 2 so playing a modern warfare game made it even better. #211 - Risen 3: Titan Lords 8.31% 1st June 2019 Titan Lord All trophies obtained #212 - Catherine 1.28% 23rd June 2019 Cheers To You! Earn all other Trophies! Spoiler So how exactly do you describe Catherine to someone who knows nothing about it. It’s a pretty odd game story wise and gameplay is climbing walls of blocks in your nightmares. Then again it’s a Japanese game so in that respect it’s not surprising that it’s an odd game. The story section of the game is easy enough even on Hard difficulty as everything is scripted so you can just follow a video guide on what to do. The Rapunzel mini game is easy and the levels are quick but it’s easily one of the worst grinds I’ve had to do in a game and eventually I ended up doing about half in one sitting just to be done with it. The final section of the game is Babel. There are 4 levels with each level being longer and harder than the previous and it’s randomly generated so all you can rely on is what you’ve learnt from the story levels. Thankfully there is a way to make it slightly easier by playing in 2 player mode and this makes levels a bit shorter and easier. Of course by doing this you have to control both characters and when moving one up you have to make sure that the other can follow. It took me a week to get through all 4 levels and it was a big relief when I finished the final one and the platinum popped. #213 - Word Search by POWGI 53.40% 30th June 2019 Howl to the Chief Collect all the trophies Spoiler This is the one and only POWGI game I have on my profile as it’s a rather time consuming plat compared to the direction they have gone with the trophy lists for all their other games. Word Search is just word searches, hundreds of them. They generally take around 5 minutes to complete so I put on some music and searched away. It was nice being able to play a relaxing game where I didn’t need to be concerned with looking at any sort of guide. #214 - Lost Sphear 28.75% 7th July 2019 Tale of Memories and the Moon All trophies earned. #215 - Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag 5.42% 26th July 2019 Prizes, Plunder, and Adventure! Win every trophy. Spoiler Of all the Assassin’s Creed games I have played Black Flag is easily my favourite for 2 reasons, naval warfare and the sea shanties. Naval warfare had featured in AC3 but there were only a few battles. ACIV was centred around a pirate as the main character which meant there was plenty of naval warfare. As you go through the game you can upgrade your ship and you also get different types of ammo including chained cannon balls for taking out a ships mast. Typically you come across multiple enemy ships when at sea but once you get the hang of sailing and how best to take out ships then it is so much fun. While at sea (and you do spend a lot of time at sea) you can get your crew members to sing sea shanties which I always did. I’m not really sure why I liked the sea shanties so much but I did. The only slightly annoying thing was if you wanted more sea shanties than the base ones you had to chase them down as a side activity and while I did have a go at a few I very quickly stopped bothering as after a few fails I got sick of trying. As for everything else in the game, well I didn’t care about anything else in the game. I was there for the naval warfare and stuck around for the sea shanties. #216 - Resident Evil 5.81% 6th August 2019 Platinum Splattin' 'Em! Earn all trophies. Spoiler I’ve probably already mentioned elsewhere that I didn’t have a lot of games on PS1 and PS2 so Resident Evil is another classic series that I had never experienced. This remake was my first foray into the series and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Even though it is a remake it still played like the original including having static cameras which was annoying but you get used to it. I had to use a guide for most of my playthroughs as I got lost in the mansion rather easily but by the time I got to my 5th and 6th playthroughs I pretty much knew where to go and what to do. #217 - Shenmue 35.43% 10th August 2019 Full Cabinet Earn all the Trophies. Well done! Spoiler I bought Shenmue because back in high school a friend of mine had a Dreamcast and this was one of his favourite games though the only part of it I could actually remember was the forklift driving and racing. The game was decent enough though I can’t say I liked all the QTE of which there were a lot. #218 - L.A. Noire (PS4) 16.36% 24th August 2019 Platinum Trophy Collect all other trophies to unlock. Spoiler I bought the LA Noire remaster as I love the game and wanted the chance to platinum it again. Despite there being 6.5 years between playing the PS3 and PS4 version I still remembered an awful lot about the cases in the game which somewhat diminished the amount of fun I had playing it again. The only real downside to the remaster is that Rockstar felt it necessary to add in even more pointless collectibles even if there weren’t many. #219 - Samurai Warriors 4 4.78% 15th September 2019 Unrivaled Warrior Obtain all trophies. #220 - Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands 12.11% 5th October 2019 Master of the Wildlands Collected all the trophies. Spoiler I initially held off getting this game as a lot of people were noting that it was full of bugs and glitches. Once I did get around to playing it, it was a lot of fun. It’s starts of slightly underwhelming as your only way of getting around the map is by driving and given how hilly the map is you can’t go off-roading to drive in a straight line. Once you get the ability to call in a chopper then the map really opens up. The very first thing I did after getting a chopper was to find out the locations of all the best weapons and attachments and go get them to really start having some fun. One of the best aspects of the game is the ability to get your 3 NPC teammates to take down a tagged enemy when you kill an enemy although you have to progress a ways into the game to be able to have all 3 available for a multi kill. Like I do in the Far Cry games my favourite way of taking down bases is to tag all enemies then find some high ground and snipe as many enemies as I can before somebody notices a dead body and raises the alarm. There are 2 DLCs. Wildlands is a shooter but Narco Road was mostly all about racing which I didn't care for but being able to drive around in a monster truck was kinda fun. Fallen Ghosts was ok but it had a few new enemies including cloaked enemies and enemies who disrupted your minimap among other things which were rather annoying. #221 - Shenmue 2 40.52% 9th October 2019 Now I Can Sleep That's it. No more Trophies. Spoiler Shenmue 2 is one of the worst game experiences I’ve ever had. The in game maps are basically useless making getting around that much more difficult. But the worst part by far was the epilogue. It dragged on for an hour and most of that time was spent running through a forest hoping you were going the right way. It well and truly put me off even thinking about whether or not to get the third game. #222 - Burnout Paradise Remastered 22.26% 9th November 2019 Burnout Paradise Elite Awarded for successfully collecting all trophies from Burnout Paradise #223 - Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War 14.69% 24th November 2019 The Bright Lord Middle-earth has been saved. For now... #224 - The Surge 7.54% 6th December 2019 The Surge Unlock all trophies Spoiler The Surge is a science fiction/technology based Souls like game. Given how much I like the Souls game I was really looking forward to playing this. There is in-game mechanic where when you die your tech scrap (for levelling up) is left where you died but you are on a timer to get it back and if that time runs out then it’s gone forever. However if when you pick up your scrap you have more than 5 minutes on your timer (which is increased by killing enemies) then you get your tech scrap back plus another 50% bonus. It also happen that the best place to farm this mechanic is right at the start of the game. I abused this mechanic several times throughout the game which did make it a lot easier. That being said, the levelling system works different to other games. Levelling up in The Surge doesn’t increase you health, attack or defence. It unlocks more power core slots which allows you to slot in more or higher level cores which is how you increase your stats. So while early power levelling doesn’t instantly make the game easier it does allow you to have more power cores slotted sooner and you can use higher level ones as soon as you get them. The only real downside (if you can call it that) is that the game is very short. There is a total of 5 bosses in the base game which can be doubled if you get both DLCs. Because of this I decided to do 2 full playthroughs instead of reloading my save to get both endings in one playthrough. #225 - Sniper Elite 4 3.96% 24th December 2019 Platinum Trophy Win all other trophies to take your place as the world's greatest sniper Spoiler Having absolutely loved Sniper Elite 3 it was a no brainer to get SE4. It was just as fun as the previous game. This time the game didn’t have ambient sounds that you could use to mask your shots, instead it had silenced ammo. Not really sure how that was supposed to work but it’s a video game so it doesn’t need to be realistic to be fun. That being said, by far my favourite playthrough was on Authentic Plus difficulty as well not making any manual saves. Authentic Plus is a perma death mode where dying sends you back to the start of the level. I played through this difficulty in co-op as well as doing most missions solo when my partners time zone didn’t match up with mine. It was a lot of fun in co-op and communication was key as it only took a few shots to die so making sure the other person knew where enemies were or letting them know where ammo/health kits were could make all the difference. Platinums 226 - 250 Spoiler #226 - Call Of Duty Classic 11.05% 28th December 2019 Dutiful Soldier Unlock all the other trophies #227 - Skyrim (PS4) 14.79% 9th January 2020 Platinum Trophy Collect all other 50 Trophies for this Trophy Spoiler A bit of backstory first. I had played Oblivion on PS3 but put it down after 150 hours as it became too boring going into cave after cave after cave (I wanted to discover every location on the map) and the only thing changing was the layout of the cave. I eventually picked it up again and was able to get back in to it but put it down after finishing the Shivering Isles DLC but being unable to get back to the main map by either walking there or fast travelling with the game freezing every time I tried. I then came back to it a third game and was able to get back to the main map. I played for a while longer (I eventually put just over 270 hours total into playing it) but I put it down again for the last time for 2 reasons. Firstly was because I wanted to close all 60 oblivion gates and when I came across the 59th every time I got close to it the game froze. And by this time I was starting to trophy hunt and given how buggy/glitchy the game was I decided to spend my time playing games with trophies instead. Now on to Skyrim, the game so popular it’s getting a fourth release and I have bought 3 of these versions. I first bought Skyrim when it released on PS3 but held of playing it for so long that I ended up buying the Legendary Edition so I would have all the DLC. I then held off playing that version so long that a PS4 remaster was released. I told myself I wasn’t going to buy it a third time but after watching a graphics comparison video I bought it. For a third time. As far as the game goes I didn’t overly like it and found it to be very generic. The story line wasn’t interesting at all and the combat was extremely boring. I went with a sword and shield and only had two attacks with one being just a stronger attack than the other. I levelled up blacksmithing and various other traits so that I could eventually craft daedric armour and weapons. Once I had done this I was unstoppable and could kill anything outside of dragons with just a couple of hits. I eventually had to turn the difficulty up to the highest setting once the appeal of one shotting most enemies wore off. There’s a massive amount of lore in Elder Scroll games but I never bothered reading anything (well except for The Lusty Argonian Maid for which I read every book ). I’ve never liked the way levelling works in these games and I resorted to the cheap method of getting to level 50 for that trophy. I got married in the game but couldn’t go with my first choice as I had screwed up my chance with her earlier by making a certain choice in a quest. House building was a decent enough addition to the game but since I didn’t care for the game I only built what I had to for the trophies. All in all my experience with Skyrim was not a overly good one so this will be the last Elder Scrolls game I play. #228 - Duke Nukem Forever 5.39% 17th January 2020 Savior of the Universe You got them all! #229 - Megadimension Neptunia VII 11.27% 2nd February 2020 Megadimension Master Completed Neptunia VII! #230 - Oxenfree 24.01% 29th February 2020 Leave Possible? We're thrilled you like the game so much, and we hope to meet you again in future titles! Spoiler Zestiria is by far the worst Tales Of game I have played and going by other reviews on here a lot of people agree. There were some aspects of the game that were just awful and some stupid trophies as well. As far as the game goes the worst part was how levelling worked. Other Tales Of games gave you stat increases when you level up however in Zestiria your main stat increases came from finding and using herbs on characters. While levelling up did increase stats they were tiny increases and using herbs meant you had to use the right herb on the right character so that you didn’t, for example, increase a characters physical damage when they did more damage with arts (magic attacks). The other thing that I disliked was that to increase your health you had to defeat bosses that you came across in various dungeons to get an item to increase your health. The problem was that when you came across them the first time you would never be strong to defeat them. And if you did try, it was pointless as they would simply one shot your entire party very very quickly. Even coming back later at a higher level with better gear some of them were pretty tough. As far as trophies go it was pretty standard for a Tales Of list but the worst trophy was for getting the same bonus on every piece of gear for a single character with a character able to have 16 bonuses total. The first hard part was figuring out how the whole system worked and while I read some tutorials it really came down to just playing around and seeing what happens when I do this or that. Then you had to farm certain enemies to get gear drops with whatever bonus you chose to use then you had to combine them to get all the same bonus on your gear. I don’t know what purpose this trophy had (probably to just annoy you) but it was an awful experience. Outside of these things I did like the characters and the combat system was fun. The storyline was stereotypical for a Tales Of game or any JRPG really. Despite what the platinum title says I didn’t enjoy my time with the game but it hasn’t put me off Tales Of games and I am looking forward to playing Berseria at some point. #232 - Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty 2.73% 15th March 2020 Against All Odds Mudokon God, Mudokon Saviour #233 - Gauntlet 2.14% 25th March 2020 I've not seen such bravery! Obtained all trophies. Spoiler Not having a Vita meant I couldn’t play this series from the start so I decided to get Peach Beach Splash. Why? Well I won’t lie, it was because of big boobs in bikinis. There wasn’t much of a story, not that it mattered anyway as I was more interested in the gameplay. I liked all the girls and my favourite was Ryona. #237 - Dynasty Warriors 8: Xtreme Legends 1.59% 12th April 2020 True Warrior of the 3 Kingdoms Obtain all of the trophies in the game. #238 - Zero Escape: The Nonary Games 39.79% 17th April 2020 You Found It Gained all trophies. #239 - Dead Island: Definitive Edition 7.98% 22nd April 2020 The Whole World Went Away Collect all other trophies. #240 - Far Cry 3: Classic Edition 40.73% 3rd May 2020 Mastered the Jungle Obtain all the Trophies. #241 - Rise Of The Tomb Raider 6.85% 17th May 2020 Platinum You unlocked every trophy in the game #242 - Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain 5.16% 13th June 2020 Legend Obtain all trophies. Spoiler My first foray into this classic series was Metal Gear Solid 4 (I played it before it had a trophy list which is why it’s not on my profile). While it was a pretty good game I liked The Phantom Pain immensely more. It has a fairly long plat time but as you go through the game you are able to develop more and more weapons/items so replaying a mission with better or more useful gear means it doesn’t feel repetitive. Having no knowledge of the history of the series meant I didn’t really care too much about the story so I was playing it for the gameplay more than anything. I always went full stealth/non-lethal as once you get a Forward Operating Base you need to fill it with soldiers which are best obtained from extracting soldiers during missions. Extracting soldiers is done by fulton extraction which involves attaching them to a balloon which whisks them away in to the sky. It was always amusing watching an unconscious soldier wake up groggily when the ballon took them about 10m into the air before hearing them cry out as they were shot all the way up and out of eye sight. #243 - Assassin's Creed Liberation Remastered 19.64% 18th June 2020 Julius Caesar Earn every Trophy. #244 - BioShock 2 Remastered 19.90% 21st June 2020 Platinum Trophy Unlocked all trophies #245 - Prey 5.53% 4th July 2020 TranStar Employee of the Year You acquired all the trophies. The only issue I had with the AS version is that even thought the Chinese release is in English, the names of some items had changed which had me horribly confused until I figured this out. #248 - Uncharted: Drake's Fortune Remastered 15.65% 24th July 2020 Platinum Earn all Uncharted: Drake's Fortune™ Remastered Trophies #249 - Shadow Tactics 6.15% 7th August 2020 Shadow Tactician Unlock all trophies. #250 - The Last Of Us Remastered 5.32% 28th August 2020 It can't be for nothing Platinum Trophy Spoiler There’s nothing more to add here about the game that I haven’t mentioned in the PS3 version. Years ago when I came back to plat the PS3 version I was going to make it my 6000th trophy however I got mixed up on my final MP journey and ended up popping it early which was extremely annoying so I went with the Demon’s Souls plat instead. Fast forward a few years and I got the PS4 version off PS+ so decided to make it a plat milestone as it’s one of the best games ever made and in my top 10 favourite games. Platinums 251 - 275 Spoiler #251 - Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition 2.66% 28th August 2020 Romero Would Be Proud Collect All Trophies Spoiler Funny story time. I got the PS3 version of this game for free as one of my 2 free games from the big PSN hack a long time ago. I played the first level but just couldn’t get used to the controls so didn’t even finish the first level. Some time later I got the PS4 version off PS+ and played through the game. I was talking about the game to a work mate and mentioned that I had it on PS3 but couldn’t get used to the controls at which point he pointed out that the controls are the same for both games. Turns out they were. After playing through the PS4 version I then went on to play through the PS3 version as well. #252 - Just Cause 3 3.24% 11th September 2020 King of Medici Earned all Just Cause 3 Trophies Spoiler Just Cause 3 was a pretty fun game that’s all about causing as much chaos and destruction as possible. And given that everything on the military bases is destructible, it makes this easy to do. The game has you liberating Medici from the control of a crazed dictator. Getting around is pretty easy as you have a tether you can use to pull yourself to objects and a wingsuit so you can glide. There’s plenty of weapons to choose from or you can just call in an attack helicopter and just destroy everything in sight with missiles. Getting 5 gears wasn’t too bad as a lot of the base destruction challenges had a helicopter nearby making them very easy. The wingsuit challenges were by far the hardest and of the 5 hardest ones I did 4 of them legit before finding out that there is a rocket powered wingsuit in one of the DLCs that made these challenges very simple (even though you technically weren’t supposed to be able to use them but could because of a bug). #253 - Dead Nation 5.66% 16th September 2020 Romero Would Be Proud Collect All Trophies Spoiler Dead Nation is a top down, twin stick zombie shooter and it is a heap of fun. There’s a good selection of weapons each with their pros and cons though buying all guns isn’t always a good idea as it can be potentially fatal trying to select a specific weapon if you’re surrounded. There are also armour sets that can make you move faster or allow you to take more damage or you can mix and match. For the longest time I put off going for the plat specifically because of mission 7 on harder difficulties. The first sections are easy enough but the final part has a bunch of tombs that when destroyed spawn a wave of enemies all the while you have mouth zombies who are constantly spawning dozens of basic zombies every time they scream. I ended up coming across a video that showed how to make this level much easier by not killing any zombies until the final area as this meant that there were so many zombies already spawned in that mouths couldn’t spawn any more zombies. Grim and Morbid difficulties didn’t end up being quite as hard as I thought but they were still a good challenge. The hardest part of getting 100% is reaching round 10 in Endless mode as there is very little room for jistakes. #254 - Mad Max 7.26% 27th September 2020 Halls of Valhalla Earn all Trophies #255 - Devil May Cry 6.20% 4th October 2020 Platinum Trophy Unlock all trophies Spoiler I first played DMC for a Kill Your Completion event. I was able to get through the game and all but 3 trophies in 3 days. The game was pretty fun although (and this applies to all 3 DMC games) the biggest enemy was by far the camera. If there’s one thing I definitely don’t miss about older games it’s having a static camera. After my initial playthrough I put the game aside for a long time as completing the game on Dante Must Die difficulty sounded very hard. Eventually I relented as I wasn’t going to play the next 2 games in the HD trilogy until I had platted the first. I decided I was going to do a quick run on Normal to get reacquainted with the game but it turned out that completing the game on Normal automatically puts you into Hard and you can’t change the difficulty until you complete Hard mode. It turned out that Hard wasn’t all that hard and I ended up doing another 2 runs on Normal to farm items for DMD as once you know what to do you can knockout the game in a couple of hours. The second farming run was eventually unnecessary as I didn’t even use all the items I had. Although DMD wasn’t easy, it also wasn’t quite as tough as I expected it to be. #256 - Titanfall 2 8.56% 10th October 2020 Welcome to the 6-4 Earned all trophies. #257 - Devil May Cry 2 9.04% 16th October 2020 Platinum Trophy Unlock all trophies Spoiler Everywhere that I looked told me that DMC2 is the worst game in the series and having played it, this is definitely true. Since New Zealand is in PAL territory I was able to use cheats to get the Infinite Devil Trigger outfit right from the get go which made things a lot quicker and easier. The worst part of going for the plat was the Bloody Palace. Even with going up 100 floors at a time with infinite devil trigger it was a tedious and very boring couple of hours to reach floor 9000. #258 - The Legend Of Heroes: Trails Of Cold Steel 14.37% 2nd November 2020 Cold Steel Conqueror Mastered Trails of Cold Steel and earned every trophy. #259 - RAGE 4.06% 11th November 2020 Master of the Wastelands Earn all 50 Trophies #260 - Demon's Souls (PS5) 28.40% 21st November 2020 Slayer of Trophies All Trophies Obtained #261 - Marvel's Spider-Man 45.80% 28th November 2020 Be Greater Collect all Trophies Spoiler While I can certainly see why people liked this game so much I thoroughly hated it by the end of the game. While swinging around the city was a lot of fun, it was the combat that was the problem for me. You get introduced to an enemy and told this is how you defeat them. You then get introduced to a second type of enemy but you can’t defeat them the same way as the first. You then get introduced to a third enemy and told you can’t defeat them the way you can defeat the first 2 enemies. And so on for each type of enemy. I constantly found myself surrounded by enemies and trying to take them all out while not being able to defeat any 2 enemy types in the same way gets very annoying very fast. It got even worse when taking down bases as there would be dozens of enemies that you would be trying to take down meanwhile there are enemies constantly interrupting you by shooting you. I eventually got that sick of the combat that I didn’t want to play it any longer than I had to so about 75% into the game I started skipping all cut scenes though I still got the gist of what was happening with the story from what little I did see. Of course after finishing the game came the DLC, 3 of them. I skipped all cut scenes for all DLCs and then after finishing them came a second playthrough for the NG+ and Ultimate difficulty trophies. #262 - Tom Clancy's The Division 10.87% 11th January 2021 Platinum Agent Unlocked every Trophy in Tom Clancy's The Division™. Spoiler The Division is an open world military shooter and was exactly what I was looking to play after enjoying Ghost Recon Wildlands so much. Playing the game during an actual worldwide pandemic was certainly fascinating as the game is set in a quarantined New York after a viral pandemic has left the country in tatters. There are collectibles in the form of voice messages, among other types, that are almost eerie and prophetic with how close they resemble things that are happening in the real world including a couple of gamers talking about how much they are getting done in a game because of the quarantine. Gameplay was pretty formulaic with a range of guns and abilities but combat was never boring. There were a bunch of different armour sets that gave you more bonuses the more pieces you were wearing from that set including classified gear that gave extra bonuses compared to standard gear. As with other games I did my research before starting the game and decided I wanted to go with a Classified Striker build as it sounded like a lot of fun. Unfortunately getting Classified gear isn’t a quick or easy process and before I could get a full set there was global monthly event and I decided to go with a different build as global event caches give you classified gear from specific sets. Of course what happens not long after I put together my new build, I ended up getting a full set of Classified Striker gear. I did out together my original build but by this time I was just about finished the game so didn’t get to use it much but it was incredibly fun what little I did use it. I did all story related stuff solo but did spend a lot of time doing co-op once I had a decent build put together. I pretty much only played on Legendary difficulty as when you have a good team the only difficulty worth playing on is the hardest one. There are 3 DLCs but I didn’t like any of them. The Underground was the worst as it was just straight up boring. The game tells you there are so many variations on different runs but every single one was exactly the same. Go here and kill enemies, go here and push a button and then kill enemies, kill enemies till one drops an item you need. The grind to Underground level 40 was incredibly boring. Next was Survival mode. You can either play in PvP or PvE mode. The game puts you on the map where it is always freezing and you are sick to the point it will kill you quickly if you don’t take some meds. Your goal is to get warm clothes, meds and weapons while crafting a filter and flare gun so you can get to the Dark Zone to extract and complete a game. I can see the appeal in this game mode but I never really enjoyed it as you will always be competing against other people for scarce resources and it seemed like the game would always put everyone in a game close to each other on the map meaning you might have to go a long way from your starting point to find anything good. I might have enjoyed this mode more if you could play it solo (you're the only one in the game) as it was tough enough as it was. The third DLC was a PvP mode which I have no interest in in any game. The servers for New Zealand/Australia were completely dead so my only option was to boost. Luckily I joned a group and boosted nearly all 50 wins. It did involve getting a lot less sleep than I would like (sessions either started around 1am or 5am) but I was just glad to get the trophies. #263 - Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr 5.65% 7th February 2021 FOR THE EMPEROR! Comparing the double pack price to getting SGWC only meant that SGW3 only cost me about $5 so I figured even if it isn’t a great game and least it wasn’t expensive. Ghost Warrior 3 isn’t a bad game but it’s definitely not a good game either. The world wasn’t very interesting and there was no reason to explore anywhere outside of getting collectibles. The missions were pretty short and the story line wasn’t even remotely noteworthy. The combat was reasonably fun and you could get some pretty long kill shots. I don’t know if I was simply very lucky or it was because I played the game on my PS5 but I encountered almost no issues with the game at all and the issues I did have were very minor. #266 - Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Remastered 18.89% 27th February 2021 Platinum Earn all Uncharted 2: Among Thieves™ Remastered Trophies #267 - The Witch And The Hundred Knight: Revival Edition 6.94% 19th March 2021 Legendary Hundred Knight!! Received all other trophies #272 - The Evil Within 3.90% 21st May 2021 Pure Evil Unlocked all trophies for The Evil Within. Spoiler I absolutely loved The Evil Within for all the brutal violence and gore in it. The game has you playing as a detective sent to investigate a mass murder at a mental hospital and as far as the horror genre goes, a mental hospital is always a set up for horrible things happening. As you make your way through the game you slowly learn just what has happened that has led to all the horrific violence that you witness and propagate. The enemies, while not being anything extraordinary are wrapped in barbed wire or have (crossbow) bolts lodged in them making them grotesque to look at. My first playthrough was my no upgrade run. Not being able to hold a lot of ammo or upgrade weapon damage wasn’t much of an issue but the worst part was not being able to upgrade how long you can sprint for. Not that you could actually sprint, it was more of a fast jog and when you got to 25% stamina left, you slowed down even more. My second playthrough was a fully upgraded one but it was also my less than 5 hour speedrun so I never got the time to really enjoy dispatching enemies. My third playthrough was on the daunting Akumu difficulty where one hit will kill you. When the game first came out it was no doubt tough but these days there are so many walkthroughs and tips that it wasn’t as hard as I expected. I followed a video guide on YouTube that made so many parts easier and simpler than I would have thought possible. It also helped that the copy I got came with the Fighting Chance DLC which includes the incredibly useful fire bolts despite the fact that it was a preorder bonus and I got the game well after release. The two story related DLCs I didn’t enjoy at all. The third has you playing as the one the enemies from the game, the Keeper and has you clearing out enemies on various maps. #273 - Omega Quintet 4.16% 8th June 2021 Platinum Trophy Obtained all trophies. #274 - Alien Isolation 6.05% 13th June 2021 Alien: Isolation Unlocked every Alien: Isolation trophy #275 - Nioh 2 32.05% 25th July 2021 You Are Nioh Obtained all trophies. Spoiler As much as I loved Nioh, I hated Nioh 2. The first disappointment came when I was planning on making the Nioh 2 plat milestone #275 only to find out that after 250 plats, each new plat milestone is every 50 plats whereas I had been thinking that occurred after plat milestone #300. Nioh 2 was very much like the first game with a few new things added meaning by rights I should have loved this game as well. Right from the start I struggled with killing enemies. I’m not sure why as I’ve played many hundreds of hours of Souls/Souls-like games so it should’ve been easy enough. Then came the first boss. My first time attacking the boss I was shocked by how little damage I was doing and saw the fight taking forever. After about 7 or 8 deaths the game told me about burst attacks and how I could counter them. Once I learnt this the boss fight became somewhat easier. As I made my way through the game I quickly realised however that every single yokai boss fight was simply countering a burst attack then wailing on them while every human boss was about chipping away at their ki till they ran out. Although burst attacks/counters were a good game mechanic I didn’t particularly care for it. The other thing that I didn’t like about the game was putting together a build. I was really hoping there would be a trophy for completing every base game mission on Way Of The Demon difficulty like in Nioh even though Team Ninja said they wouldn’t do that again. There was however a trophy for each DLC for completing every DLC mission on WotD. This was probably a good thing as I really wasn’t enjoying the game and didn’t want to play it any more than I had to. In Nioh I was able to put together my WotD build before starting WotD. For Nioh 2 a lot of people advised going all the way through to the 5th and final difficulty and farming gear there for the 3rd difficulty. This was of course completely and utterly counter-intuitive. Why would I need to play through the game 5 times just to make playing on the 3rd difficulty easier. I did find a build I wanted to go with but it turned out that farming the Underworld for gear with specific graces was not going to work because my current build just wasn’t strong enough so I had to settle for something lesser than what I wanted. Although getting to the final difficulty was easy enough by just playing side missions then completing the final mission to unlock each new difficulty, this was easily my biggest dislike of the game. I could have out together a build to get me through WotD without going too far into WotD missions but some of the DLC missions I would have had a lot of trouble with, without having much higher level gear. I disliked this game so much that I put some serious thought into whether or not I should just autopop nearly the entire PS5 trophy list for Nioh 2 when I get around to playing it but it’s highly likely I won’t as I didn’t buy The Nioh Collection (PS5 remasters of both games) just to not even really play one. That being said, at least a second time around I’ll know what I’m getting in to. The last thing I’ll say is that as much as I disliked the game, I did spend a lot of time helping people out in co-op which was a lot of fun. Platinums 276 - 300 Spoiler #276 - Erica 22.81% 30th July 2021 That's a Wrap Unlock all bronze, silver and gold trophies. #277 - Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls 22.47% 2nd August 2021 Pragmatism's Last Reward Earned every other trophy in the game. #278 - Anthem 6.19% 13th August 2021 Grandmaster Collect all Trophies. Spoiler Despite everything I had heard about Anthem I still wanted to play it so I picked it up when it was cheap. The best thing about Anthem is the combat. There’s 4 different classes to choose from and although you have to spend some time with each class for trophy purposes, my main was the Colossus. Each class has different abilities including ones that can prime and then detonate enemies for big combo damage. Combat becomes best once you start getting masterwork and legendary gear as these come with an added bonus. Each class also has weapon types that are specific to that class. The only real downside to the combat is that there are only 3 types of enemy (not counting non-human enemies) in the game. Outside of missions there’s freeplay and the world is a decent enough size and getting around by flying is fun enough. Collectibles (of which there are far too many) will have you exploring everywhere as well. While combat is fun missions are somewhat boring as they are always the same thing, fly and and kill everything. I guess this isn’t that different to missions in other looter shooters but in Anthem it definitely wasn’t as fun as other games like Destiny. Once you’ve finished the game there’s very little end game content which made trying to put together my ultimate build boring and it didn’t take long before I couldn’t be bothered with the grind so got the plat so I could be done with it. #279 - Fallen Legion: Flames Of Rebellion 1.89% 19th August 2021 Hero of the People Congratulations! You obtained all of the trophies. #280 - Devil May Cry 3 9.04% 28th August 2021 Platinum Trophy Unlock all trophies. Spoiler While DMC3 was a decent enough game the first one is still my favourite. As always the biggest enemy in this game was the camera. While you could move the camera in some areas, the speed it moved at was far to slow to really be useful. Going for the plat was not a fun experience. I did 7 playthroughs which was at least 4 more than I would like to have done. DMC3 introduced a new difficulty called Heaven or Hell where every single enemy including bosses die in just one hit. The catch is, so do you. This mode was pretty fun after Dante Must Die difficulty but there were a couple of times I got stuck against certain enemies as the camera made it very difficult to not get hit. #281 - DmC: Devil May Cry 5.35%11th September 2021 Platinum Trophy Collect all DmC Devil May Cry™ Trophies Spoiler DmC Devil May Cry is a reboot of the DMC series and as far as it being a reboot instead of a continuation, I didn’t like it. The devs tried to make Dante ‘cool’ but he just came off as a tryhard. For example, when arguing with Vergil about who’s better at what, Dante has to get the last line in by claiming he has a bigger dick or when asked how he handled not being in control and how he released that energy, it was by killing demons and getting laid. The combat however was almost completely better. It was a lot more fluid and you had all your weapons/guns equipped at the same time instead of selecting two of each. The only thing I didn’t like was that there was no lock-on which made trying to target a specific enemy to take out first rather difficult. The angel weapons were also vastly underpowered compared to the demon weapons (not that I would expect any different) but this made taking out an enemy that could only be damaged by angel weapons rather laborious. The boss battles were really good with the fight against Bob Barbas being very unique and the Mundus spawn boss being utterly bizarre. There was also a new difficulty called Hell And Hell that is similar to Heaven And Hell except enemies have full health but you still die in one hit. Of course with the Super Dante costume giving infinite Devil Trigger this was mostly trivial except for boss fights but even then I only found Virgil to be a hard fight. #282 - BioShock Infinite: The Complete Edition 10.44% 24th September 2021 Platinum Columbia Acquire all other trophies. Spoiler BioShock Infinite is easily one of my top ten favourite games. It has a fantastic story that even on repeat playthroughs is still amazing to see unfold. You also pick up on things that you wouldn’t have known were significant the first time around. For example when finding a video on YouTube for the song that plays when you first enter the church in Columbia and you actually listen to the words, you realise that they are foreshadowing what will happen. Elizabeth is easily one of the best NPCs in any video game ever (I’d most likely put her in the top 3). She is always useful in battle as she never gets in the way, will throw you health/salts/ammo when you are getting low and is always finding money and pointing out lock picks. There’s a good selection of weapons and vigors though on Normal difficulty I tended not to use vigors very much as ammo was always plentiful and could always be bought if you wanted to keep a certain weapon on you. I generally don’t like playing games on the hardest difficulty as it can end up ruining the experience if you struggle a lot however 1999 mode (and with not using Dollar Bill bending machines) isn’t too hard when you know what weapons/vigors to use on which enemy and BioShock is one of the few series that I’ve enjoyed playing on the hardest difficulty. #283 - Assassin’s Creed Odyssey 30.31% 29th October 2021 Epic Cycle Earn every trophy. Spoiler Assassin’s Creed games have completely changed since Origins released. They are barely Assassin’s Creed games like every game before it and are now massive open world RPGs. For the most part I enjoyed Odyssey. I’ve always had an interest in Ancient Greece so I really enjoyed the setting. The world it’s set in is absolutely huge and filled with things to do however the world activities are very repetitive and near the end of the game I stopped taking down camps and caves as I had already done so many of them and there was no benefit to doing more. Synchronisation points are still present making fast travelling around the huge map very easy. I played the game in exploration mode which meant that I had to find my own way around in there world and wasn’t told exactly where to go for quests. This did get frustrating at times because there were far too many times when a quest would tell you to (for example) go to the centre of a particular city where I would just wander around like an idiot searching for an NPC only to find them somewhere that I would not consider to be the centre of that city. Combat was pretty fun. There are 5 different melee weapon types as well as having a bow. For assassinations you use the spear tip of King Leonidas’ spear. You have normal and heavy attacks and can unlock abilities from the Hunter, Warrior and Assassin skill trees. I unlocked the Sparta Kick ability pretty early and while it was a lot of fun to kill an enemy by Sparta kicking them off a ledge, I specced out of it not too long afterwards it wasn’t all that useful of a skill. I left scaling on default when I started which was a mistake as I would get a quest at level 10, finish it at level 15 but get level 10 rewards. This made it hard for a bit as I always had under levelled gear until I switched to Heavy scaling which scaled everything to my current level. At level 55 I put a build together that had a 99% crit hit chance and did over 500% crit damage that meant I could one shot any non-boss enemy. However it was a glass cannon build as I used an engraving that gave +100% damage but health is restricted to 25%. This did lead to a lot of deaths if I got into open combat and eventually I did a bit of respeccing into melee resistance which meant a lot less deaths. The story was decent enough. The first big DLC was Legacy Of The First Blade which I didn’t really like especially when you are forced in to a relationship at the end of episode 2 so I ended up skipping through all dialogue and cut scenes in episode 3. The Fate Of Atlantis was much better as all 3 episodes introduced new maps. There were some great NPCs in the game like Brasidas and Sokrates but my favourite was Alkibiades. There was one quest where he has you deliver the Ancient Greek equivalent of a dick pic. The only thing I really didn’t like about the game was the Mercenary/Bounty Hunter feature. Every time you did something naughty you would have a bounty put on you which when it was high enough a mercenary would be sent to kill you with a maximum of 5 after you at any time. Even if you killed a bounty hunter this wouldn’t reduce the bounty but instead another mercenary would be after you. You could get rid of the bounty by paying (which I never did), kill the person that out the bounty on you or just wait and the bounty would go away after a while. Mercenaries would always show up at incredibly annoying times like when taking down a fort (which are the biggest enemy locations in the game) and having 1, 2 or even 3 mercenaries show up making it harder to complete the fort. They even show up in the middle of quests which could make escort missions even more annoying. It also didn’t matter if you fast travelled from one side of the map to the other, they would fast travel and be back on your tail in less than a minute. #284 - Wreckfest (PS5) 15.96% 2nd November 2021 Master of Crashes. Collect All Trophies. Spoiler Wreckfest is a pretty short but fun game. It’s a racing/destruction derby game although sometimes it’s hard to tell when it’s a race with how the AI drives. Other than custom set races or online races there are 4 championships you can take part in. There are a bunch of different events including destruction derbies, race series, challenges and single races with qualifiers. Once you earn enough points you can not only win the overall championship but also unlock the next championship. Although there are many different cars you can earn and buy, you can just use a single car for the entire game by changing the different mods on it to give you more power and less armour or vice versa. However it’s easier to use different cars for different events. Destruction derbies were pretty fun. Put as much armour on your car as you can and go to town on the other drivers. That being said you did need to be a wee bit tactical about it as the best way to hit a car is from the side as you take minimal damage while doing maximum damage to the other car whereas hitting a car from the front or back does much more damage to you as well. Races were mostly just about racing and it didn’t always pay to try to wreck another car as that can cause you to crash as well. On the final championship the long races series were more like destruction derbies as by the time a race had finished there was a pretty good chance at least half of the AI cars would have wrecked each other or themselves and in some cases you could be the only driver left before a race had finished. This made things a bit annoying as it wasn’t really about trying to come first so much as it was just trying to survive. The game had a pretty decent soundtrack although there weren’t many songs. It also took me a while to get the balance between the music and the sound of the car balanced and it ended up with the music volume at 100% and the car volume at 15%. #286 - Farming Simulator 19 5.66% 7th November 2021 Completionist Collect all trophies Spoiler Despite no interest in Farming Simulator 19 I decided to grab it from PS+ and give it a go as something completely different. The game can be as simple or as in-depth as you want. You can turn off or on needing to plow your fields regularly, use lime or have crops withering. I turned off almost everything as I didn’t want to complicate things more than necessary. Jumping into single player puts you on your chosen map, and that’s it. No automatic tutorials or anything so I was at a complete loss as to what to do. I quit back to the main menu and manually went through most of the tutorials that tell you the basics about cultivating, fertilising, seeding and harvesting crops. Once this was done I was ready to go. There wasn’t too much of a learning curve and using the MP to SP method you can start with $10m which is very handy. I started off building a silo and buying a bunch of tractors with the necessary attachments. The only real issue was getting my harvesters with a 12m header back to my farm. I took the first one via road which was very time consuming as a 12m header on a road that is considerably narrower was not easy but I managed it. The proper way would be to load the header onto a truck to get it there but on moving my second harvester I had a look at the map and ended up taking the rest off road as there was basically nothing in the way. Once my farm was up and running I started on the animal breeding trophies. I wanted to be an equal opportunity farmer so when it came to buying cows I got 10 each of the 4 available colours. At some point I noticed the timer for how long it would take to breed one cow and it was a massive 170 hours despite the guide saying it should be considerably lower. I had no idea what I was doing wrong until I googled it and found a formula for calculating breeding time. It turns out the devs decided to make the cows (and probably all other animals) colourist (that’s a word right?). Namely, black cows wouldn’t breed with white cows wouldn’t breed with black and white cows and so on. Once I sold my cows and got 40 of the same colour the breeding time dropped to 40 hours. Not sure why that happens but it seems like a pretty picky thing to place in a video game. Eventually I got the animal trophies put of the way and it was time to grind out the hectare trophies. I bought a plow and turned two of my smaller fields into one bigger one as well as increasing the size of another and I bought 2 new fields. I then sold all my machinery and bought bigger tractors to pull bigger attachments and colour coded the tractors so I knew which tractor was needed next to save time. I also found out after buying a 6th field and while doing the missions trophy that you can only hire 6 workers at a time on the console version which was rather annoying. But once I had completed 100 missions it no longer mattered. All in all it’s a pretty decent game but not one that I’d want to play another version of however I enjoyed my time with it well enough. One other very handy thing is that unlike so many other games on console, FS19 has mods. This made some tasks extremely easy. Need to haul hay bales to your farm but don’t want to manually load them with a telehandler onto a truck? Download and buy an auto-loading trailer to do it for you. Want to remove a tree with out cutting it down, cutting it into smaller logs and carting it to the saw mill? Download and buy a machine that basically deletes tress with nothing left over. There is a huge range of community mods that can make a lot of tasks so much easier. If there’s something you can think of that would make a task easier, chances are there’s a mod for it. #287 - Ratchet & Clank 13th November 2021 21.52% The Hero of Heroes Collect every trophy in Ratchet & Clank Edited November 14, 2021 by FilmFanatic
FilmFanatic
PSN 100% Games 100% #1 - Thomas Was Alone May 11th 2013 Thomas Was Alone is easily the best platforming game I've ever played. The characters are all blocks comprising different shapes and colours all with different abilities. In other words, it doesn't get any simpler than this. And that's what I loved about it, it's so simple. Add to that each character has their own amusing or quirky background story and you have a game I loved playing. 100% #2 - Contrast December 1st 2013 100% #3 - Brothers: A Tale Of Two Sons March 10th 2014 100% #4 - Stick It To The Man June 16th 2014 100% #5 - Outlast June 16th 2014 In the days of PS1 and PS2 I never played any of the Resident Evil or Silent Hill games so this was the first truly scary game I had played. And when I was scary I'm not kidding, it was terrifying. Although it didn't take long to finish I played it over a few days. Every time I sat down to play it again it was only a few minutes before I could feel my heart beating in my chest and my palms getting slightly sweaty as I didn't know what to expect. There were some really great jump scenes and one scared me so much when I yelled out my flatmate in the next room even got a fright! Of course it was only scary the first time round. It really is the ultimate horror survival game because in Outlast you can't fight back. At all. You can only run away and hide and hope the enemies don't see where you went. The characters breathing and low light levels and a video camera with night vision just add to the horror that you see going on all around you. My nightmare speed run took a few tries but in the end I got through it and was awarded a trophy I'm rather proud of. Ok, that wasn't short but that's because this was a truly amazing game that everyone who can, should experience. 100% #6 - Proteus September 8th 2014 100% #7 - Vessel September 13th 2014 100% #8 - FEZ September 13th 2014 100% #9 - Doki-Doki Universe October 26th 2014 100% #10 - SteamWorld Dig December 19th 2014 SteamWorld Dig was a very entertaining game. Working your way down underground as a mining robot while getting all sorts of upgrades and power ups was a lot of fun. Trying to decide which was the best way down past all the enemies was always a good challenge. Each of the three worlds were quite different which made things more interesting. The Master Prospector trophy was certainly not easy and although I got it in one playthrough there were a lots and lots of retries to make sure I took the best and most efficient route. 100% #11 - Escape Plan December 21st 2014 100% #12 - Valiant Hearts: The Great War March 27th 2015 Valiant Hearts was an amazing game. It was beautiful to look at, had a great soundtrack and was very emotional. It was also educational thanks to information that popped up in each level and for once in a game I actually took the time to read all the 'codex' entries. The ending was very sad but then again war is not a pleasant thing. The Healing Hero trophy was very annoying and took me a full hour before I finally got it but it was an otherwise fantastic game to play. 100% #13 - Never Alone 1st May 2015 100% #14 - The Walking Dead: Season 2 May 16th 2015 Season 2 of The Walking Dead was even better than the first season. This time around you get to play as Clementine which is a nice change of pace from playing as an adult in pretty much every other game ever. Clementine is now 11 years old and a lot more mature and world weary. It was fun playing as her as people tend to underestimate her as being just a kid. There are new people to meet and like or dislike as well as a couple of returning faces from season 1. As with the first game I played diplomatically to try and get the best possible outcomes from every situation the survivors are put in. When it came to the final chapter things are going from bad to worse for Clem and her group of survivors and the final decisions you have to make are not easy. The game can end in 1 of 7 different ways and at first I went with one ending but decided to go back and try another one as I wasn't completely sure I was going to like the option I had chosen. After I had finished the game I went on YouTube to view all the different endings and I was glad I had chosen to save the character I did although I'm still unsure whether my decision to leave that character and go a separate way was the best but I can always go back and change that if necessary. 100% #15 - The Unfinished Swan 13th June 2015 Although it only took me 3 hours to complete, The Unfinished Swan was an absolute joy to play. From shooting paint-balls to find my way round the world to shooting water to make vines grow to listening to the story that makes up some of the collectibles, it really was a fantastic and certainly unique game. 100% #16 - Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes 20th June 2015 MGS:GZ was a lot of fun. Crawling around and sneaking up behind the enemies to kill them or taking them out from range with the silenced assault rifle provided hours of enjoyment. I did 5 playthroughs of each mission to get the 100% and not once did I get bored of playing the same map which was good. If there's one thing it it taught me it;s that there's a whole lot of back-story to the series I will never catch up on but that doesn't lessen the entertainment factor. 100% #17 - CounterSpy 1st August 2015 I have to say I really enjoyed CounterSpy. The whole 2.5D layout worked really well with the side scrolling. There was a good range of different weapons although I stuck with the same guns through all playthroughs. Same went with the formulas. Playing through on Advanced and Expert was a real challenge. It took a lot of retries but after about 10 hours of trying I finally got the trophy. 100% #18 - rain 29th August 2015 100% #19 - Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon 25th December 2015 100% #20 - Grow Home 13th February 2016 100% #21 Firewatch 23rd February 2016 100% #22 The Vanishing Of Ethan Carter 25th February 2016 100% #23 Unmechanical Extended 26th February 2016 100% #24 Child Of Light 18th March 2016 Child Of Light was an absolutely gorgeous game. FilmFanatic
Well the Plat Rain Day event is over for me, actually it was over at 2am this morning. It's taken me awhile to do but I am finally now able to update this checklist with 15 shiny new for Goat Simulator, Hyperdimension Neptunia, Puppeteer, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Okami HD, Assassins Creed 2, Killzone 3, Middle-Earth: Shadow Of Mordor GOTY, The Wolf Among Us, Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition, Magicka 2, Metro: Last Light Redux, Ether One, The Order: 1886 and Bloodborne and another 100% PSN game for Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon. FilmFanatic
100%s added for The Vanishing Of Ethan Carter and Unmechanical Extended. Tales From The Borderlands and Watch Dogs have both been platted which puts me at 99 platinums. Now I just have to wait till April 12 for Dark Souls 3 to come out and I can start on #100. James_Tonto
You've been busy ^^. Lots of great platinums, your collection is solid, and you have a lot of games that are ready to be platted. Will you be going back and revisiting [PROTOTYPE], Bioshock 2, Dead Nation and Batman: Arkham Asylum? Also Dark Souls 3, will be an awesome 100th platinum, but Vanquish would also make an epic #100. Unless you're saving that for another milestone? Like Plat #125 or #150?

Unless you're saving that for another milestone? Like Plat #125 or #150? Despite what it looks like, Prototype and Vanquish I won't be going back to as I don't want to waste my time and patience on something I very likely won't achieve but I've gotten every other trophy in those games so I'm happy with that. Batman; well I suck at fighting so don't plan on playing that again either. Bioshock 2 I want to 100% this year at some point I just don't know when. Dead Nation I would love to plat, I'm just not sure about how I'll go with that horrendous graveyard mission. I've thought about playing a level here and there but haven't started yet. I'm going with DS3 as my 100th as the Souls games are my favourite game series and in tribute to my very first plat being Dark Souls.

FilmFanatic
Congrats on Number 100 mate, great effort and pretty good choice for the milestone Thanks, yeah it seemed like a really good choice to go with Dark Souls 3 as my first plat was Dark Souls plus the Souls games are my favourite series. Luckily the release date coincided with plat #100 as well so didn't have to hold off earning plats for too long.

FilmFanatic
It's been about 9 or 10 months since I last updated my checklist but I've finally gotten around to it adding more than a few new platinums and 100%s. I've also had to move a few things around since I was getting some annoying bug where my spoilers tags wouldn't open in my second post and I found out how many emotes you can use in a single post (75 is the maximum it would seem, after that they won't show as the emote but as what you type in to get it to show). I haven't noted down my thoughts on every new game I've completed yet either but I'll get around to it eventually.
FilmFanatic
Updated with all my latest platinums. I still haven't gotten around to writing what I think about my latest plats but I will......one day.......won't I? I'll also be getting 2 new milestones this year, 175 will be Nioh which I'm looking forward to playing and trophy #10,000 is going to be the plat from my favourite game, Red Dead Redemption.
