Dauersack Posted March 25, 2019 Share Posted March 25, 2019 The Shot Complete 'All Ghillied Up' and 'One Shot, One Kill' on Veteran difficulty. This trophy is noteworthy because the two missions mentioned are extreme opposites of each other. It is worth mentioning that I do not like this game, I do not like it's publisher, I do not like it's community, I barely like the bare bones story and I sure as hell do not like this cheap ass Veteran difficulty that turns the game into a trial and error affair with luck being the most deciding factor. I only picked this game up because it was free on psplus and I thought, how hard can a platinum with that rarity and difficulty rating even be, also some curiosity how CoD has changed in the last decade or so I avoided it. That being said, the first mission, "All Ghillied Up", was the first time this game actually impressed me. The mission had great design, introduced a good character, had tense atmosphere and I really got invested in it, I wanted to make every shot count and not get spotted by the enemies, which I managed to do, and it was great. Followed up on this great mission was one of the worst in terms of all these areas. It combined three elements that should be nowhere near each other, timed section, hold out section, and worst type of escort mission. After running through areas being shot left and right from enemies that can sometimes even oneshot you, our badass partner turns into cargo we have to carry around and protect, setting him down slowly each time before being allowed to fire, all while enemies never stop spawning and we are still on a timer. The missions grand finale is a holdout section with what I can only describe as the worst checkpoint placing error imaginable. Halfway through the section you just get swarmed by endless hordes of enemies, and yeah they are actually endless, theres always tons of enemies no matter how many you kill. So you get overwhelmed with bullets and grenades, rushed by dogs, only to then get the order to carry your partner to the helicopter from where you had to place him, playing russian roulette because there is a tight timer and endless enemies keep coming in between you and your target. If you die, which can happen very quickly by a hit or two, or a grenade, or while you carry the fucker to the heli, you have to redo the last 3-4 minutes of the fight each time before getting another chance to carry him to the target. This mission only took me about an hour because I got really lucky and became somewhat invincible while carrying the partner through several enemies and did not die despite being shot at like 10 times (probably a bug), but I can easily see this taking people several hours. There are two more trophies of this caliber that people keep describing as utter bullshit, so I am probably in for a good time. Can't wait to put this game away honestly, it even has notceable bugs in it, in a freaking remaster. 3 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
