A Legitimate Business

 

Gotta be upfront with ya--just like with a lot of stuff in San Andreas--I didn't enjoy being in the automotive "import-export" business as much as in III and VC. Bit of a lose-lose situation; map is a bit too big to make actually finding the cars yourself much fun, but following a (nearly; Matt Riddle wouldn't appreciate the Stallion being entirely left off the one I used!) 100% reliable map is a bit unsatisfying in its own right. Actually doing the crane lifting yourself is just another example of dull and unneeded "realism" that really does the game--and indeed, the continuing series--no favours.

 

Got an irresistible opportunity to blast my 90s playlist that I'd finally managed to shape into something even remotely passable earlier in the week, but still, it was not the most fun I've ever had chasing down cars. 

 

To make it a bit more satisfying to actually cash in the trophy, I set it up so I'd race to cash in the last car after completing the Beat the Cock race. Funny story about that race... after a few honest attempts (found out about the infinite stamina thing a bit too late to bother with it) it was infinitely more satisfying to pull some Wacky Races shenanigans on my competitors' broken pasty asses! ? I did pretty decent time, considering. Last car I cashed had to be a blue Banshee with a white stripe; it's on my shortlist of best video game vehicles for a reason!

 

Now everything's almost set up for my massive trilogy platinum cash-in... just need to get my Vice City stuff sorted. Don't know when I'll do it, though... right now I need a decent break from granding, thefting, and autoing.

Resolution - Completed Day Seven of True Shinobi Girls' Code

8,227 Achievers out of 15,161 Owners for a rarity percentage of 54.26% (Common)

 

Just an unmissable story-related Trophy for completing Day (same as a chapter, I suppose) 7 of Estival Versus' story mode. This one you get after you beat a couple of waves of mook shinobi on the game's beautiful ice stage (puts me in mind of the ice sculpture festival found in Sapporo's Odori Park, famously recreated in Yakuza 5 as part of Tsukimino), playing as the Mikagura Sisters. I specifically used Kafuru, the precocious manipulative youngest sister who has the best playstyle out of the three by far. Can't get into Renka's taiko drumsticks or Hanabi's mallet, but Kafuru's silly little water pistols gel really well with me, and her triangle drop attack involving some odd dolphin is good fun as well.

 

One more story Trophy left, a Gold one at that, and then I'll just have to clean up the Shinobi Girl's Heart missions and some of the finishers.

 

Oh, right, for beating the final mission of Day 7, you unlock this CG in the store. Still have to buy it with Zeni from there though, cheeky stuff. Image has been censored by yours truly in line with the awful puritan content policy Sony has had in place for a while now.

Master of Mechanics - Stopped the entity from another dimension.

 

The Makina Domain is really insane. 5 bosses in a row, and when you leave they respawn. And you need to craft again your equipment in order to add the new traits called "Essences", which appear only after the third boss onward. So you need to fight these three powerful bosses without these Essence, so it's hard. And after you finally beat them you need to do it again in order to find more useful traits. And when you craft a super powerful Infinite Meteor and Royal Aroma, together with the tier ??? weapons (I don't remember the number ), you think you're ready to fight the 5th boss of this area. And I beat her! According to Gio, it was easy...

 

 

Mutated monster - Brought peace to the forest by defeating the transformed spirit.

 

Another fight against the Ent monster... Again? After the Makina bosses, this one was a cakewalk. He couldn't even touch me .

But I'm still trying to understand what I'm seeing in this screenshot.

To be honest, I'm pretty mediocre at FPS and this trophy was easier than most people make it to be. It undoubtly requires some practice and perseverance, requires quite a good amount of retries and going blindly into this task to come with your own strategy can be very frustrating, but the amount of videos how to get this trophy is sufficient to get enough idea how to tackle it. Took me about 2 hours with standard EVA-8 shotgun and Arc Grenades set. To be fair, I'd rather do it again than play Master difficulty, which is more tedious and longer thing.

 

The amount of Share Play sessions posted here just for this trophy was astounding. People wanting to use better players to get this trophy really should consider another hobby. I don't think trophy not achieved only by yourself have any personal value.
