CULT ALERT. Saw this coming a mile away honestly.

 

I got back up when Sean was thrown out of the church. I tried to understand Karen's feelings while also trying to talk honestly with her. I was understanding to Jake (he still f'ed up though). I snuck into the office unnoticed. EXAMINING EVERYTHING HERE REALLY HELPED. I got into the room by finding the key. I asked Karen to create a distraction. I successfully hid from the pursuer. During the confrontation in the church... WITH IT FREAKING ON FIRE... the choices here were good due to what I said above. EXAMINING EVERYTHING. It might not matter though but I'm just glad I did it just in case. Anyway... it goes without saying I kept mashing X to get Sean to constantly get up every time he was knocked down. I attempted to threaten the cult leader with the gun. When that didn't work I just asked Daniel to move her with his power. No killing for me. Live with your BS bitch.

 

That was it pretty much. I might be forgetting something. It's hard to remember everything lol. But I recapped the most important stuff I suppose.

 

At this point... I can only hope I don't get the bad ending. ?

Dragon Ball Xenoverse (PS4) - Platinum Trophy (If You Show Me Your Courage) (3.40%)

Been a while since I have posted anything to this forum, but I come back with a very rare platinum that is even rarer than may Assassin's Creed Brotherhood Platinum.

I played this game previously before I started trophy hunting seriously, with only getting the online trophies dealt with back last year. Recently, I decided to break up the online grind from going for the platinum in rocket league, by getting this done. Overall, from all of my experience in this game, it was a solid game with quirks that made parts of the game annoying, but I still had fun overall. If I were to describe my experience finish this game, it would be an RNG Fest, as for two of the trophies requiring you to get all the ultimate and super attacks, sometimes it would not even drop anything, even when I did ultimate finishes on most runs. The platinum list was mostly straightforward and easily achievable with time aside from the two trophies mentioned above. Sometimes, despite within the required time of 10 minutes for many of the later missions, it would still not trigger the ultimate finish scenario.

 

I would recommend Xenoverse 2 despite the additional dlc trophies, it is more polished in my opinion which makes sense but if you want a rarer platinum trophy then go for this game, its still fun despite it being less refined and the RNG aspects in move collection. I am glad to add this game to my platinum collection!

 

You might be wondering whether I will do the same for Xenoverse 2 alongside its dlc soon, not at the moment but I will probably do it when the dlc goes on sale.

Either on (at least) your 5th playthrough or in Chaos difficulty, win the final battle without retrying! Play long enough in Intense to unlock this ghastly difficulty setting. It's the only difficulty that offers a chance of obtaining triple-skill equipment!

 

Oh boy was this tough. Phase 1 was absolutely brutal, practically killed me in one hit every time. Once I got past that phase though, it was easy-peasy thanks to all the Lindwer skills I had. ?

Funny enough, I expected this one to be the first of the DLC trophies, but nope it was the third one, it was the first of the day though.

This place was a lot of fun to complete, taking down the captains was fun and finding all 6 chests was pretty easy.

 

 New Recruits
Complete Side DLC Quests "Rise of Shaqilat" and "Shadows of the Scarab" (The Hidden Ones)

These 2 quests were fun, I also love that Bayek's hand is very easy to figure out  Especially the "Shadow of the Scarab" quest was a very memorable quest.

 

 What Time is It?
Perform a leap of faith from Arsinoe's sundial obelisk between 10 am and noon (The Hidden Ones)

I have to be honest, I had to use a video to figure out when I had to jump because I don't get how a sundial works.

 

 Surgical Strikes
Assasinate Tacito, Ptahmose and Ampelius (The Hidden Ones)

Taking these guys down was a lot of fun, I like that all 3 had their own way as to how you have to take them down.

 

 The Greater Good
Complete Main DLC Quest "The Greater Good" (The Hidden Ones)

I did not expect that I had to take someone down on our side, but it was definitely for the best.

This is also the end of the The Hidden Ones-DLC, this was a lot of fun, I can't wait to see what The Curse of the Pharaohs will bring to the table.

 

Resident Evil Village (PS5)

Hunt an animal during the story.

I saw a crow sitting on the ground, had to take it down, did not expect this trophy.

Also, finally I was able to make some more progress, really glad about that.

Escape the mine.

This part killed me more times then I'd like to admit, this a lot of fun though.

It's always great to help the creepy place's economy.

NAVDML (Complete Mefitis on Veteran difficulty with a custom ship, with every ability set to zero)

 

A very good challenge. Mefitis is easily the hardest level in Arcade mode, and to do it on Veteran difficulty with a custom ship with everything set to 0 isn't exactly easy. Requires skill, precision and much trial & error. The snake boss easily outruns the ship, so I had to experiment in how best to deal with it. Both phases where it moves up and down, and goes through those circles isn't as difficult as many people make them out to be. What was difficult was using an underpowered custom ship. Did a few test runs on Veteran difficulty before I went for this trophy. Very well earned.

 

Only things left is beating the game in local co-op, and beating Commando Mode. Then I can finally wrap up one of the hardest 100 percents I have attempted.

Those last missions where anime af. And the final cutscene did this 4th wall breaking transition that I thought was cool.

I got a good portion of the post game done like getting all characters, maxing their friendship levels, and unlocking the last few post game story missions. Some of the requirements to earn the medals are pretty annoying like taking no damage, ensuring a character's health doesn't fall below a certain level when you have to defend them, never getting knocked to the ground, etc.

Just really tired of always being strapped for cash for weapon upgrades. I have the stuff, and the items needed to unlock the final "unlimited" weapon upgrades are just given to you, so I really just need money.

I've bested the December Palace in Persona 5 - the one with the Pride tagline - and I have to say it was far and away the best one in the game for me. Loved the theming, the battle backdrops, and the puzzle gimmick (although it was slightly overused). Out of respect for anyone who has not yet played Persona 5, I will not be posting that Trophy considering it is a spoiler that is best enjoyed while playing the game.

 

I will post about Passionate Listener, because it had me audibly cheering when it popped. Much love for the Persona series and its Trophy lists, but this and Hardcore Risette Fan in Persona 4 Golden really just suck the fun out of proceedings.

 

For the uninitiated; in Persona 5, you have a character act as a guide throughout the second half of the game, commentating on battle events via pop-ups. This Trophy requires you to hear 250 different lines out of her. Sounds easy, right? Well, it is easier than it was in P4G, but this one still has all the hallmarks of an ill-thought-out Trophy;

 

• Collectible; goes without saying, but voice lines that play once are possibly the worst I've ever had to accumulate
• RNG; which lines you get are context-sensitive and with scenarios often overlapping, the character won't always spit out the line you want.
• No tracking; nowhere in the game do you see a tally of how many unique lines you've collected, let alone which ones
• Accessiblity; not only do you contend with RNG, but with lines being tied to certain party members and status conditions, you need to keep rotating and purposely play poorly to get hit with the right spells
• Time-sensitive; you only have about half of the game to do this, and progress does not carry over into New Game +

This stupid Silver basically sucked all the fun out of the dungeon battles from the Wrath Palace onward, and I am super glad it's over - this Trophy was cut out of Persona 5 Royal, which honestly is a Godsend. Heck, Hardcore Risette Fan is the one reason I'm not 100% convinced on stacking P4G. Rarity rating of 27.2% on PSN (39.19 on this site) indicates that Passionate Listener shouldn't be too hard, but with how poorly it has been conceived and how big a role luck plays in getting to 250 I wasn't going to forego the grind for it.

 

However, with this absolute bastard out of the way I have a clear shot to the finish line, where the Platinum awaits me. Time to see out the story and clean up the rest of the Trophy list.

I said goodbye to everyone in Away. I hugged Karen (ez choice). I interfered in the jail cell to stop the immigrant from doing something stupid. During the police stations escape I did my best to not hurt or kill anyone. Daniel was forced to act at times unfortunately. I did not free the immigrants or the racists vigilantes. It wasn't giving me to option to do so for the immigrants so I didn't think you could!! Otherwise I would have. As for the final choice... honestly... for me anyway... it was an easier choice than the final choice in the first Life is Strange game was. I ended up doing the exact opposite of what I did in the first game. In a way at least. I surrendered. Because I couldn't do it. I couldn't be that person that goes 'F DA POLICE' GOD THAT ENDING WAS SO BITTERSWEET AND SAD. At least Chris was okay and Daniel had some sort of friend and seemed to grow up with a good life. I mean the game revolved around Daniel anyway right? So... yeah...

 

It still sucks though. The police mentality, even now, is guilty until proven innocent and that's just ridiculous BS when it's suppose to be the opposite. Particularly when it comes to minorities. makes me see the pro arguments for the #defundthepolice movement

 

 

Overall... I really liked this game. People complain about it being to 'political.' Sure? I guess? Then again everything seems to be political now because people don't want to have common sense anymore so it's really not that much of a surprise.

I'd say the first game is definitely better but I still enjoyed it quite a lot. The final choice was much easier (for me anyway) then the final choice in the first game was. Overall I enjoyed and liked this game.

If you can't tell with the custom image in my trophy card now I will be moving on to Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX which I will start playing tonight. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't worried. I struggled immensely with Super Mystery Dungeon. If this happens again... *sighs* ?
