My journey has begun in Nier Automata everyone. Wow. Quite the start. I barely started and shit got REAL immediately and I was loving every moment of it. ?

 

So yeah. I haven't even hit the 2 hour mark (I'm close though) and I already LOVE this game lol ?

 

So... a couple of things...

 

E. (lol. No worries. True endings are best endings. even if i have to play it 3+ times lol)

 

GOD DAMN THIS MUSIC. HOLY SHIT. I mean I heard some it before started playing (the demo) but hearing again is just... WOW.?

 

I loved that quote at the beginning. ?

 

I'm not the greatest at this game yet (obviously) and am honestly kind of shit at it right now unfortunately. But that's okay because it's my first time playing this game and it's been a long time since I played the demo lol. It should be fine though. I'll get better as I go along. Maybe. Probably. I hope so. ?

 

I will be attempting to get the Platinum trophy for this game. Key word: attempting. I'll try my best. That's all I can say. If I get it, then yay. If I don't get it... oh well. I guess.

 

I want to try to get it legit first. Before resorting... to that... certain... thing... ?

 

I'm definitely streaming this one too. At least twice. Maybe more depending on if I feel like it lol. Once for sure during this first route/playthrough/whatever you want to call it. I'm not sure when I'll stream it for the second/further times. Either during other routes/playthroughs or just parts I think might be good to stream. Feel free to give me streaming suggestions for this game I guess lol

 

Also feel free to give me suggestions/advice on this game in general if you want as well as suggestions/advice on getting the Platinum. Only if you choose to of course. I'll probably need all the help I can get. ?

Trophy: Platinum (1.46% Ultra Rare PSNProfiles 0.50% Sony)

 

Ladies and gentlemen I present my rarest platinum trophy to date and my 80th Ultra Rare trophy on my account. It took me 24 hours game-time to finish the game to 100% completion, despite purchasing the DLC, this game was still very challenging to platinum. The worst events in the entire game are without question Traffic and Pursuit, and time trials are very challenging to say the least, especially the Expert ghosts, they are no joke!

 

Compared to it's predecessor this game was a massive upgrade, I love the vehicle transitions which are very smooth or fluid and you get a transform boost for executing them correctly. The hardest trophy is the Triple Star License which requires you to have 100% game completion, thankfully the game tracks your completion! Naturally I'm very happy to add this trophy to my collection because this is in my opinion the hardest kart racer on the PlayStation 3.   

 

For those of you wondering what my final stats were for the AAA license please see below for details;

 

World Tour 232 Stars (58 Events Cleared on Expert difficulty)

Grand Prix (All 10 Cleared on Expert difficulty)

Characters 24/24

135/168 Ghosts defeated (15 were Expert) Please note I have 3 tracks with no ghosts cleared as well

106/120 Stickers

103/144 Character Mods (14 Characters Max level)

Play-time 24 Hours 6 Minutes

 

For the Expert ghosts in particular I will list the main characters and mods that worked for me, if you feel one character is not quick enough, choose another character in my recommended list. I predominantly used either Sonic with Speed Mod, Shadow with Console Mod and Ages with Console Mod. 

 

I normally do not rate a game based on it's difficulty so for this momentous occasion I will provide a rating, please note this is my opinion. I consider myself above average at racing games since I have Wipeout HD, Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled and 85% on Gran Turismo 5. For me with the DLC installed which was very in-expensive to purchase the difficulty is a solid 8/10 from me, without the DLC it would be at least a 9/10. Best of luck to anyone who is attempting this platinum trophy!

And that's it.... my final GTA V trophy.  I'm done with this game.  Got platinum and 100% on PS3, and platinum and 96% on PS4.

 

I'm not buying this again when it comes to PS5.  I don't even care what kind of improvements or expansions it has.  Two complete runs of this game is enough.

This wasn't too bad, I already had three, probably because of free DLC and the last one was very easy to get, I should've gotten this one much sooner. But better late then never.

This was probably one of my favourite fights so far, this was a lot of fun.

To get this trophy you'll have to respond in a specific way in an interview after a practice/qualifying/race session in career mode until the rating bar is maxxed out towards sportsman. Interviews have around 3-5 questions, the rating bar requires roughly 50 'sportsman attitude' answers. It sounds easy, if it wasn't for the rng element wether or not you'll be interviewed. I've driven half a season without one single interview. It turns out that you'll have to mix up your racing between clean/dirty/winning/losing for the interviews to trigger. Going for pole position and wins will not make this trophy pop quickly. Without this knowledge it could take up to 5 career seasons before it pops.

 

Next, the max showman rating trophy.

It took me three and a half years to get this done. That difficulty option isn't too hard, but the second boss was without a doubt the biggest pain in the ass I've encountered for a while and I almost gave up on the platinum because of that. Also, combined with that you die in one hit made that battle really frustrating. Took me over three days worth of attempts, but I managed to conquer it. The final boss was a cake walk after that, even though I did die a couple of times.

 

Bottom line, It's a decent game. In my book, Resogun still stands as my favorite Housemarque game.

Ah, top o' the morning to ya, boyo! Let me relate to you the tale of how I became an Irish Ledge Hen. So I'mma make this a bit of a quasi-review of the Raph of the Droogies DLC as a whole because who knows when the feck else I'll get a chance to.

In short... everything about it is a noticeable step down in quality from the main game. Classic case of Deelceeitis, I guess. A tale as old as the seasons... pass. Now granted, it isn't really any worse than your average DLC; ACV's status as an upper tier game in the series, however, heightens the disappointment in this one case in particular.

It's your normal crock o' content... rushed, sidequesty main story... missions that feel like padding... perceptible lower quality character models and animation... minimally modified collectibles... the whole woiks, doc. Randomly generated live service side missions is the definition of lazy, and also waste the potential of the return of optional objectives, the rewards for which aren't worth the effort anyways. Oh, and the sickles suck all manner of feckarse as weapons.

But the biggest disappointment of all is the complete lack of the best aspect of the main game... the World Events, whose side contentish superlativity I have espoused copiously in previous posts in this thread. How fun wouldn't it have been to be sent on wild goose chases after leprechauns and faeries, or played some small part in gathering ingredients for, like, the first ever batch of proto-Guinness or something?

As fun as it is to traipse around the admittedly lovingly realized Emerald Isle after treasure and all that, this is very far from the pot o' gold it should've been. This is as lazy and by-the-numbers as AC can be at its worst. Getting major deadass Origins/Odyssey douche chills, I was. I have no idea what that sentence even means or if they are even words, but it sure does a fine job of describing my experience. Faith and begorrah, I need a feckin'

I heard of other brilliant series before that didn't live up to the hype, but D A M N. THank god I already bought the 2nd game or I would explode from anticipation. If the other three games are as good this one, this will, without a single doubt, be my favorite JRPG series.

Decided to check out some of the hidden trophies, this one got me interested, it was an okay questline, but I have a feeling that nothing will beat the hilarious questline from yesterday.

Acquire a Tier 3 active Ability.

I finally got rid of enough cultist to be able to get this trophy, now I only need to upgrade my spear to one more level. That will require a bit of work though ?

Reach Level 50.

Finally, this massive grind is over, this was a ton of work and I do not say that lightly. I think it took like 530K+ exp to go from level 49 to level 50, it took me like 73.5 hours to get to this point. I honestly feel like this should've been a silver trophy, but oh well at least I got this out of the way.

Either way... I'm still in the bare-beginning of this game... and it's just too damn good. lol
