Popular Post MrGarland
Win - Beat the game. Conquering Time - Beat the game in under an hour. Online Racer - Win 10 versus zones in online play. Done. It was fun to experience this again after so many years. Well, with the exception of the Metropolis Zone. There's nothing wrong with that level, except that the enemy placement is sometimes annoying. Especially those platforms where you have to use them to get up while avoiding enemies hidden behind walls. Get hit once, and you fall all the way down. The platforms also don't seem to come back no matter how far I went, so I had to save every now and then to avoid such cheapness. As for the speedrun, it went surprisingly well, as I had about 15 minutes to spare. Like with my main playthrough, Metropolis Zone was a pain to clear, because of the enemy placement. Also, that (trolling) pit in Mystery Cave Zone got me once, forcing me to reload my save. I wasn't mad or anything, I just happened to forget where it was. Luckily, I didn't lose that much time. Oh, and I got the online trophy done as well. Why they added that is beyond me. Thankfully, the servers are still on, so it's safe to earn that trophy. Before I get back to platinum hunting, there's one last game left, which is Sonic CD. Easily one the best in the 16-bit games. Not only that, but it also offers a good amount of challenge when it comes to trophies. Since I've only completed it once, this should be fun.

As for the plat... very easy plat and extremely generous, there's a lot and I mean A LOT of stuff that doesn't count towards 100% completion or that hasn't a trophy attached. As for Last Mission trophies, they are extremely easy but very time consuming, took me like 11 hours to complete LM (I spent 4 hours building my CH) , but that was me wasting time doing nonsense, past floor 50 I just ran to get to the next floor asap, it get's pretty boring after a while. This one has been in my backlog for years but I have hesitated to start because of all of the things to keep track of for 100%. Did you follow the trophy guide on here or elsewhere? My most recent trophy is Romancing the Forge from Yakuza Like a Dragon. It's for maxing out the blacksmith's level and cost 20 million yen for the final level alone. But this was easily earned in the business management minigame which is surprisingly addictive so getting the 20 million was easy. Really enjoying Like a Dragon, it's so quirky and endearing, highly recommend it!

Popular Post MrGarland
Treasure Hunter - Collect all the Time Stones Statue Saviour - Find the angel statue in Wacky Workbench King of the Rings - Collect 200 Rings Heavy Metal - Defeat Metal Sonic without getting hurt Dr. Eggman Got Served - Destroy Dr. Eggman's final machine All Stages Clear - Finish the game Saviour of the Planet - Destroy all the robot teleporters and Metal Sonic holograms in the past Just in Time! - Complete the Time Attack mode in under 25 minutes Ah, Sonic CD. I remember playing this on Sonic Gems Collection (which I still have). Even though it has the US version (regardless of the region), I still enjoyed it. It should be mentioned that I've only played this once before this. The first time I played it, I collected all the Time Stones and finished the game. Why I never played it again is beyond me. I've known its remastered version for years, but I haven't bothered playing it until now. So, what can I say about the game? I'll put it this way. Goddamn, how much I missed this. The gameplay is really great here, thanks to the time travel game mechanic. It also has some really unique boss fights, like the ones in Tidal Tempest (where you have to "breathe" the bubbles away), Quartz Quadrant (where you're running on a conveyor belt) and Stardust Speedway (where you're racing against Metal Sonic). Oh, and can't forget the anime-styled opening and ending cutscenes which is a plus. However, the one that steals the spotlight is the OST. It's easily the best in the 16-bit games. To make things even better, the remastered version uses the JP/EU soundtrack, which is superior to the US version. Don't get me wrong, that version has some good ones as well, but more about that in a moment. As for the trophies, I tried getting everything (except the Time Attack) in one playthrough, but turns out it isn't possible. Why? If you collect all the Time Stones, the remaining robot teleporters are destroyed for some reason, but all the holograms are still there. You can still destroy the holograms, but since the teleporters remain destroyed, they won't count and you won't get the trophy. I don't mind an extra playthrough, but when it comes to saving time, that always sucks. Not to mention, the trophy guide in this site doesn't even mention anything about that, unlike the one where I checked this info, so it really should be edited. Then there's the Time Attack mode. I remember seeing that trophy several years ago and I feared if it was even possible for me to get it done. Back then, it would've been hard. Now, it wasn't too bad, since I already did two speedruns for the other games. That said, I had to replay a few levels to improve my time and I think that was for the best, since I had to learn the best routes. My final score was 24'48'00, with exactly 12 seconds away from the requirement. Finally, the soundtrack. As mentioned earlier, the JP/EU version has the best OST. It has pretty much everything. Some of them even have lyrics, like the one used in Metallic Madness (Bad Future). It pretty much says how things are f***ed and there's nothing you can do. I also can't get over that laugh used in some of the songs. It's hilarious. As for the US version, although not as superior, it sounds good regardless. There are a couple of songs that I think the US version did better, like the ones shown below. Spoiler PS. The US version has the creepiest game over theme I've ever heard. And thus, I've played all three classic Sonic games. I had a lot of fun reliving those games again. What more there's to say? Well, I've read that the game is getting another rerelease sometime in 2022 as a part of Sonic Origins. Needless to say, I'm looking forward to it. It also includes Sonic 3, which is my favorite alongside this. Until then. Anyway, it's back to platinum hunting. I've been playing the PS3 for almost two months now, so it's time to get back to the PS4. I'll start with Spoiler
