ANOTHER Gamebreaking Bug (Year 4: Charlie at the Bathroom)

I'm at the part in Year 4 where you are supposed to go into the bathroom after Charlie and Meche leave, so that you can come out in the new suit. However, when Charlie comes out and says his dialogue, only Meche leaves and the game freezes (you cannot even get to the pause screen). 

 

I have tried this twice and both times this happens. I am left frustrated here. I have a screenshot of the place where the game is frozen.

 

I was wondering if anyone has some thoughts on getting around this?

I created an account just to answer your question... I got this problem earlier today! I also tried this part two times and it froze each time. I couldnt find a solution anywhere. I was about to give up and start the whole year 4 again when i thought that i could try again but with the other control scheme (tank control)...and it worked!

 

Charlie and Meche both left and I could enter the bathroom.

 

I hope it fixes your problem too!

Just quoting you so you get the notification. Try Matthieu1 solution. Sounds like it has the possibility of working, it's pretty specific.

Hi guys, Thank you all for the shoutout.

 

So the way I did it (without invalidating the tank controls trophy), was:

 

Manny needs to go into the bathroom ATLEAST ONCE BEFORE going to the casino scene and interacting with Charlie. This will ensure that the glitch will not happen and break your game. 

 

I was lucky that I had a save file just before I interacted with Charlie. Even if you are already in the casino floor, just go back up the stairs and go in there once, and Manny has a dialogue when he comes out refreshed. 

 

I did therefore get the platinum.

Had this issue happen to me on my play. Used the 'use the bathroom before' trick and it worked out without a glitch. Thanks.

Just wanted to say thank you for coming back to the thread and posting your solution. So many people start these threads and never actually post their solution or what eventually worked for them and that info can help others. I just came across this exact same glitch today. Tried your solution and it worked perfectly the next time. Thanks again, it saved me some time and lots of frustration.
