A little confused on missables

I know for the Completionist trophy you have to find everything but I believe that includes some story elements after the point of no return? It's really 2 questions.

1. Can I go back and find the promiximity related story events after I conclude that story arch for each section?

2. There's really no way of knowing you have found everything before going into the point of no return? I was thinking of save scrubbing but since you can't manually save that's actually difficult to do.

Edit: It turns out you can go back and get everything for the Collectible trophy. However my game froze after finding a bunch of things. I recommend following the video in the guide. It only takes 1.5-2 hours.

1. Not sure. Safest to leave the conclusion until last, and only once you have cleared everything in each section, just in case. 

 

2. Nope. You can back-up your save to the cloud (PS+ subscription required) or to USB before going past the point of no return though.

The only way to know if you got everything is the trophy popping.
