If you're just now playing, I would recommend playing with crystal since she has higher max hp than any other character and her shield ability is really useful, especially if you have throne butt As for mutations, the HP mutations are pretty useful in guaranteeing your survivability, with Rhino Skin and Strong Spirit being the highest priority mutations to get overall (the former increases your HP from 8 to 12, the latter protects you from getting damaged from a hit that would have killed you and it's rechargable) As for offensive mutations, Stress and Trigger Fingers are really good to have on melee weapons and other slow fire rate weapons, Scary face is also really good since it lowers the enemy's max hp (paired with gamma guts is extremely useful), and Long Reach is a must have if you have a melee weapon And while I'm talking about mutations, Eagle Eyes, Extra feet, Open Mind, and Shotgun Shells are all absolutely worthless mutations, I recommend completely ignore those if they pop up on your mutation screen As for weapons, that's really based on personal preference, though I think melee weapons are really really good due to being able to deflect bullets (and are also great benefitters from trigger fingers, stress, and long reach) and explosive weapons you should probably avoid unless you happened to pick up Boiling Veins All in all, you're most likely going to die a lot before even reaching the throne and the more you die, the more you learn. And the most important piece of advice I have to give is to have fun playing it, otherwise what's the point Hope you reach the nuclear throne in due time brother
cosmic-mania
It's over. Good riddance indeed I think this is the last thing that I'm doing for this game, I already have around 200 hours shared across the vita and ps4 version. Plus, I don't really want to grind for crowns for every character. I'm happy for where I'm at now It's been a pleasure, boys. Joe Dubz
Thanks everyone for all these useful tips! I just started a week or two ago, so still a wet behind the ears noob. Getting my ass handed to me over and over but it's quite addicting and I keep coming back for more! Got my first loop a few days ago and have looped twice more since, so I'm definitely improving. I appreciate all these tips that will definitely come in handy once I get to that point ??
Joe Dubz
@KaKrackle @Mori @cosmic-mania I'm curious as to how many hours you all have logged in? I'm at about 35 hours of playtime, have looped 7 times, and my best run is L1 1-2 with Steroids. I was just kinda curious as to how I stacked up to the pros! I am at around 130h now, 40h of those are just with Melting due to two trophies (Unstoppable and Everything Hurts). Dont worry, it took me a lot of time to get good at the game and I wouldnt say you're doing bad so far; seven loops after 35 hours is decent. Anyway, I had 130-140~ hours on the vita version with 78 hours on the PS4, so easily over 200+. I think I'll reach 300 once I unlock all crowns. And for my personal best run, it was L2 7-1 with YV. I honestly wanna try to make it to loop 3 just so I can encounter the IDPD freaks before officially quitting the game overall. Honestly I wasn't even expecting the hour count to be that high, this game is truly addictive. Edited June 7, 2019 by cosmic-mania

Popular Post Mori
Since I have nothing else to do atm, here you go (I wont comment the self-explanatory trophies): 1. Melting UnlockedDie. 2. Eyes UnlockedReach 2-1. 3. Plant UnlockedReach 3-1. 4. Y.V. UnlockedReach 3-?. You need to reach 3-1 with a screwdriver or be lucky and get one on 3-1. There'll be car that has a golden frame, hit it once with the screw and then you can enter it with "Square" and enter Y.V. Mansion. *Trophy pop* - You can also get a golden weapon in a chest there. 5. Steroids UnlockedReach 6-1. 6. Robot Unlocked Reach 5-1. 7. Chicken UnlockedReach 5-? You need the mutation "Last Wish" before reaching 5-1. There'll be a Flower (its big, hard to miss) which you can feed by pressing "Square". Each press costs 1HP, after 4HP you'll enter the Jungle. *Trophy pop* 8. Rebel UnlockedLoop past the Nuclear Throne. Destroy the 4 Generators left and right during the Nuclear Throne Fight in 7-3. After that kill the NT and you'll Loop. *Trophy pops* 9. Horror UnlockedDefeat Horror. Horror appears after not destroying the Rad tanks. Easiest in World 1. Dont destroy the Rad-Tanks in 1-1 & 1-2 and Horror should appear in 1-3. Be warned though, if the Rad-tank is filled with maggots, it doesnt count as a Rad tank and its best to restart. The Rad Tank is filled with maggots when there is "dirt or ground" around the tank. 10. Rogue UnlockedReach the Nuclear Throne. 11. Fish Can RollLoop as every character. 12. Crystal Can RollReach 4-? as Crystal. You have to reach 4-1 with a cursed weapon while playing as Crystal. Either you'll get the Crown of Curses in 3-2 or you'll start with the Crown of Curses after unlocking it with Crystal. Then you need to pick up a cursed weapon. Instead of reaching 4-1 you'll reach 4-?, which is a harder version of 4-1, the cursed caves. Should be avoided on other runs. 13. Everything HurtsReach the Nuclear Throne with Melting without choosing Rhino Skin or Strong Spirit. This is a tough one. You'll have to kill the NT, while playing with Melting, who has only 2HP. Rhino Skin and Strong Spirit are not allowed. RS adds 4HP to the max, SS lets you survive one hit that would other wise kill you. (Personal Opinion: I did this really early and spent prolly 15-20h on this, it improved my game a lot, but its okay to save this trophy for later) 14. MMMMMMHMMM!Reach 2-? as Eyes. You'll need an explosive weapon in 2-1 with Eyes. Look out for a "gully cover / manhole cover" (round cover / Gullideckel) and shoot your explosive on it. It will open a portal to 2-? 15. Blood Blood BloodReach the Nuclear Throne in under 10 minutes as Plant. While it is possible to kill (trophy description is not right, you need to kill it) the NT under 10 minutes using no short-cuts, its highly recommended to use the Oasis skip. You'll reach the Oasis by only looting the chests and rad tank in 1-1, while not killing a single enemy. This will spawn the Bandit Boss from 1-3, you have to kill it fast, otherwise you'll only reach 2-1. After going through the Oasis you'll reach 3-3, there will be less enemies than usual. From here on, just try to get to the NT as fast as posssible. Also turn on the timer in the options so you can see how much time you have left during your run. 15. VerifiedUnlock a Golden Weapon for every character. There are different ways to get a golden weapon: 1. Get to Y.V. Mansion (3-?) 2. Loop the game and golden weapons will drop more often 3. Reach Ultra level (Level 10) with Y.V. and you'll be ported to his mansion which has 2 (or 3 with Open Minds Mutation) chests that contain a lot of weapons, also golden ones When you have one golden weapon with a char, just play COOP, let the char with the golden weapon die, pick it up with the other char and finish 1-1. Repeat that with all chars. 16. ScienceDefeat the Technomancer as Steroids You'll have to reach Loop 1 6-1 with Steroids and defeat the Technomancer. Save this for later, since it'll take time and practice to come that far. 17. 6e 69 63 65Eat a Hyper Weapon as Robot. Can take a few runs, since Hyper Weapons dont drop that often. Use Robots active skill to eat the weapon. 18. Way Of The ChickenReach 2-1 on Hard Mode as Chicken. To unlock Hard mode, you'll have to reach Loop 2. Then play this "great" mode and reach the sewers. GL 19. Forget The Old DaysDefeat Mom as Rebel. Reach 2-1 Loop 1 and defeat Mom as Rebel 20. ThrillerDefeat Hyper Crystal as Horror. Reach 4-1 Loop 1 and defeat Hyper Crystal as Horror 21. Never Look BackDefeat Captain as Rogue. This is a tough one. You'll need to loop with Rouge and than enter a police van (Pressing Sqaure) while it is driving/coming to a stop. Its only possible for a short period of time. You'll reach the police station. Fight through the first 2 stages and then defeat the Captain in the Boss arena. Spoiler 22. Crown LifeUnlock a Crown as any character. There will be portal statues in 3-2 & 5-2. Shoot them until they are activated (IDPD enemies will spawn). Now kill enough enemies until the RAD-meter is full (More IDPD enemies will spawn). Now destroy the statue and a yellow/greenish protal will appear which will lead you to the crown vault 23. Ultra TimeReach Level Ultra as any character. Reach Level 10 as any Char 24. Good FindUnlock a Golden Weapon as any character. 25. Good RiddanceUnlock a Golden Disc Gun or Golden Nuke Launcher. I Insert my reply from earlier Basically its playing hard mode with Y.V. and Crown of Hatred. You have to reach 3-2 at least and using the portal there to farm rads to reach level 10. What I did was, I farmed in 1-2 aswell until level 6. Luckily I had Long Arms, Trigger Fingers and a Shovel, which made the sewers and Scrapyard pretty easy. Credits to It'sBlu Spoiler 26. Not BadReach 7-3 on a Daily This is the only trophy that can become unobtainable, if they shut down the online portion at some point. You'll only have to reach the NT on a Daily. Since you only have one try a day, I would recommend to work on this as early as possible. Crystal is the best Char/safest to go with, since she has 10HP and can reflect bullets 27. UnstoppableReach Level Ultra as Skeleton Probably the hardest trophy in NT. I let the video explain the most. Its recommend to have an explosive weapon in 6-1, you can also try to get killed in a purple circle, but its hard Spoiler 28. Frog ZonePlay as Frog. Frog is hidden char. First you need to reach L1 2-1 (Sewers) with a golden weapon (a golden weapon could also drop there but its too risky to rely on that). Y.V. is a good pick here since you most likely will be Level Ultra before reaching L1 2-1 and can get a golden weapon in his mansion. Then you have to kill Mom with the golden weapon (you can hurt her with you other weapon aswell, but the killing blow needs to be with the golden one). She'll drop the Frog Gun. Now you'll need to reach the next crown vault in 3-2. It is very important that you already have a crown with you at this point. You'll find a Proto-Chest there in which you put the Frog gun. If you dont have a crown with you, there wont be a Proto-Chest. Be warned though that after touching the crown, 2 enemies will spawn (There are 2 columns which are the spawnpoints; you can also attack them before they spawn, but then you wont be able to choose a loop crown, keep that in mind for later runs). After defeating them and reaching 4-1, you can die, exit or continue. Start a new game, pick a crown beforehand so its faster and reach the crown vault in 3-2 or 5-2 and voila, the Frog Gun in the Proto chest is now A Golden Frog Gun. Pick it up and leave the crown vault and exit the game when you see the notification that you've unlocked it. Now Start a game with the golden Frog gun equipped. *trophy pops* 29. ImpossibleSit on the Nuclear Throne as headless Chicken. Dont destroy the generators next to the NT. Kill the NT and stay next to it, while it explodes. Chicken becomes headless, hurry up and sit down on the throne. *trophy pops* 30. Sincere ApologiesWe hereby sincerely apologize. Kill yourself with a Disc-gun 31. Bandit StopperDefeat Big Bandit. (1-3) 32. Dog OwnerDefeat Big Dog. (3-3) 33. Hunter KillerDefeat Lil Hunter. (5-3) 34. Throne SitterDefeat the Nuclear Throne. (7-3) 35. Advanced SitterDefeat Throne II. After Looping, you'll reach 0-0 L1. Kill all IDPD, then NT 2 will spawn. Kill it. *trophy pops 36. Frog SlayerDefeat Mom. (L1 2-1) 37. Crystal SmasherDefeat Hyper Crystal. (L1 4-1) 38. Techno KillerDefeat the Technomancer. (L1 6-1) 39. Vault RaiderUnlock all Crowns as one character. This can be quite difficult due to the Loop crowns. My recommendation would be Fish, since he gets the guitar during the NT II fight, which is the second best Melee weapon. All Loop crowns can be unlocked faster by fighting Captain instead of the NT, though the Crown of Luck (You start every section with 1HP) should be unlocked later. In L1 there will also be crown vaults in 1-2 and 7-2. Get to 7-2, get the Crown of Luck and defeat NT. Luckily you wont start 7-3 with 1HP but with the HP you entered the crown vault, so you wont have the negative effect of the crown during the NT fight. Here are two of my L1 crown runs Spoiler Spoiler 40. Go HardUnlock Hard Mode. Loop twice / Reach Loop 2 41. The Struggle ContinuesLoop the game. 42. The Struggle Is OverDefeat Captain. Captain is an alternative Boss and will end the game after his defeat. To reach him, you'll need to enter an IDPD Van, which will appear from L1 1-1 onwards. 43. Ultra MutantGet 100% of the unlocks. Refer to "Vault Rider" for unlocking Loop Crowns. When you have all Loop Crowns with one char, you can use an exploit to play with Loop crowns from the beginning with other chars, meaning you only need to defeat NT L0. "In the char selection choose a loop crown with your Char and then choose random. If its not your loop crown Char, Exit the game and do the same until you have your loop crown Char. When you finally get him, instead of exiting the game, just retry it. You'll keep the crown but since you play with 'random Char' you play someone else. Now finish throne and you Unlock the crown." The trophies for this game are Ultra Rare for very good reason, and the fact that the only one you're missing is the 100% trophy speaks volumes to your skills. No doubt making it that far is also very impressive! I just have to take breaks when I start getting frustrated with crappy RNG or cheap spawn-deaths. 10 hours ago, cosmic-mania said: No, I've mostly been googling for all the game questions I had. I usually don't make guides unless I already have the plat, but I would be happy to collaborate and get one started if either of you would be interested. I have a very good idea of what is necessary for each trophy, but since I haven't for one example reached level Ultra as Skeleton, I don't have the best advice for making something like that happen. Quite truthfully, looking at @Mori's excellent tips right above, I would use a lot of that advice anyway for the guide. However, some bugs in the vita version are actually pretty useful, such as elite shielders not being able to teleport and Skeleton being able to retain Melting's mutuations, which is really useful for Unstoppable (I don't know if the PS4 version has this skeleton bug as well but I wouldn't be surprised if it was patched out, feel free to correct me) But yeah anyway the ps4 version is better but the vita version also isn't unbearably buggy if you wanna play it on the go or something.
