The "Big Leagues" Trophy is not achievable anymore. I know that it is only achievable in an active season, but there won't be an active season on league play because Black Ops II League is outdated by Black Ops III Arena.

Seems legit on one hand because you want to focus your support on more actual games, but on the other hand it is a huge let down for the Trophy-/Achievement-hunter community. Espscially the trophyhunters on the Playstation community are pretty disappointed because they can't achieve the platinum trophy on a game that is only 4 years old.

I think I can speak for the whole german trophyhunters from trophies.de and the international community from playstationtrophies.org as well as psnprofiles.com, when I beg you to fix this problem please. All we, the community, your fans, want is a small hotfix, that makes this trophy achievable again.

Don't forget that we are your fans, we are your customers and we payed for a game which we cannot experience completely.

Publishers and developers are just as good as their service and dedication to their dear customers and fans.

So, please please please fix this.

We need to get our CoD-Trophy-Collection 100% complete. Thank you!

Automatic Activision Support needed me to update the case, otherwise it would be deactivated within 5 days, so I answered.

"Hi, have you already found a solution? Pre-season league play is still available, but the trophy will only unlock in an active season. Maybe you could change the trophy unlocking parameters to pre-season games. It is just a little workaround. A few lines of code to make thousands of gamers happy.

I will keep you updated on this case. Don't tell me this won't work, they must give in if we stick hard enough to this.

Feel free to open up your own case about the same topic on support.activision.com (you can log in with your PSN). The more pressure we make, the better. But don't copy my text 1:1, that would be too suspicous. If a whole bunch of customers ask for the same thing, they have to give in.

Hey,
have you found a solution now? The community still wants to get this fixed.
Feels a bit like you give a shit about your most dedicated fans and coregamers. Do you even have a clue how much effort and work it costs to collect every single trophy/archievement of a game? This means a lot to some of your customers.
Some people are even willing to buy all DLC content if they had a chance to get 100% of this game, so you will indirectly earn money by fixing this trophy. If somebody says that it is not worth the time to fix it because of the costs, I can assure you that this argument is invalid. Go for it. Do your job.

Should we give it a try on reddit then? I don't have a reddit account, but I would create one and do that post if I could get enough support from here. Maybe I should not do that only in a Playstation-Trophyhunter exclusive subreddit, because it would also be nice to get support from the Xbox-Archievementhunters.

That has already been tried in the past by other users and it was a miserable failure. Activision will never, ever fix this problem so don't waste your time and resources on trying to change their minds, because it won't happen. Just chalk this up as a loss and move on to the games you can complete, instead of wasting time of ones you can't.

 

If there was any interest or willing at Activision to fix this problem, they would have done so years ago when the game was still big in the public consciousness.

I don’t mean to sound rude/argumentative, but it worked when people filed BBB complaint to Ubisoft for Splinter Cell Blacklist trophy.... I think not many people teamed up for Big Leagues trophy unlike how other games went... What I said could be wrong, but still

I have recently been going over my old Trophy lists to see which games I left for whatever reason and still need to Platinum.

BO2 is one of those games however I am very fortunate that when the game came out back in 2012 I concentrated on the MP aspect before moving to a different game so the only Trophies I actually got back then were all the MP ones plus some of the Zombie ones (plus the first mission on the Campaign).

I was disappointed to hear that Platinum is now unobtainable for anyone that didn't get the League Trophy out of the way before they shut it down and I can sympathise with anyone that is in this situation as I have always believed that ALL Trophies should always be obtainable no matter when you pick up the game and decide to play it whether that is when revisiting a game you put aside or if you pick up a game years later from a bargain bin.

I can also accept and understand that resources at the software houses need to be reallocated to new projects as if they didn't then it would effect the quality of new games, however the very solution is extremely simple/ Just don't make a Trophy requirement based on something that will not be supported in the Future!! They choose and set the Trophy requirements so why not set requirements for Trophies on things that are always under the players control. Make it as hard, difficult and as challenging as you like but at least make it obtainable without the need to rely on anything other than the individual players skill.

I have a some incomplete Platinum trophies on my list that are now unobtainable which is annoying, but at the end of the day people that enjoy earning Trophies are and will always be in the minority so we will have to accept it.

These sorts of silly Trophy requirements are always likely to be around so I guess a lesson to be learned is that if getting a Platinum on a game is that important to you then you should check if the Platinum is still obtainable before purchasing the game and if it is then play the game exclusively until you have the Platinum and don't leave it aside for any length of time.
