How to stop microsoft checking what porn catagories I like?

To answer the question in the title, only buy your porn physically and with cash. Then again, most porn stores have surveillance cameras and someone who makes a living selling porn is already selling other people's private information. There's probably no stopping them from selling your purchase habits to Microsoft.

The only surefire way to prevent Microsoft from tracking stuff on your pc is to not use a computer.

Well there's always incognito mode, that satisfies most people's desire to jerk it anonymously.

Of course you could just look up some really sick shit so they just don't want to watch you anymore.

Just make a bootable USB flash drive or something with a small version of Linux on there and plug it in every time you have to beat the one eyed wiggly Welshman.

format the hd and install Ubuntuu or some form of linux. Problem solved

This is false, because Ubuntu is known for tracking shit, almost like a spyware.

this thread reminds me of a guy who had 1 terabyte of porn

strokin for dayz

1TB isn't a whole lot these days... :P

This is bs btw, if you know your privacy laws... (talking about definitions) and it's a slippery slope argument.

Now that I have your curiosity, I ask for your attention.

I have a new laptop coming in on wednesday and god forbid it's going to have windows 10 installed, can someone run me through how to disable all the tracking so microsoft can't take random peeks into my PC?

There's an app that can disable most of Windows 10 tracking but its open sourced and I haven't used it for a few months.

You can still get tracked in incognito iirc, contrary to many people's beliefs

There's been intentional back doors in most versions of Windows, but it's nowhere near being like what they want to do with these newer versions. They really want you to have this one account to everything, as if they didn't know about all the problems that comes along with that. Forced updates that you can't stop and will reboot etc, because that makes the computer more reliable (not), but I think they went back on this. Then there's all the data collecting, because they need your data to improve their services... They've had updates that uninstall a lot of programs.

I would avoid Windows 8 and 10. I'm not sure how they got up to 10 really. Windows 8 was 6.3... :S

Fight your urges and find a healthy relationship with a woman. Then, you'll have no reason for Microsoft to track you.

AKA suppress who you are and use a woman instead... then MS will still be tracking you while you're on your PC.
