How frequent do requests appear?

Are the requests inside the Diva Room completely random, or are there specific conditions that will activate requests?

 

I have noticed that I earned 3 consecutive requests in a row, for 4 characters, while the other two haven't put in a request in over a day. 

 

This last trophy is pushing my buttons....

It's pretty random, just keep up that petting

Hmmmm, it's been a while since I plat this but I think the way I did it was to just rub their heads for a bit till their happy, then move through the list of them. Leave it for around 10-15mins and repeat.

I agree with the past two.

 

But the requests are completely random, and i can confirm that; no factor actually affects it specially as they all affect the request chance equally.

ah, okay then.

 

does heart-popping or pokes effect the request activation? feels like the characters who are the most displeased will be least likely to shoot me a request. can't help it sometimes, as the Vita touchscreen wants to be fickle with any inputs.
