JONNY-1992-_- Posted January 28, 2016 Share Posted January 28, 2016 Super Mario 3D World has 380 Stars and 80 Stamps which are important to unlock the next World and even the Bonus World so I think Nintendo already do things similar to Trophies and always have done so but more in the traditional sense. Kinda like Crash Bandicoot and the Crystals or Gems. These 'Collectables' in Video Games have existed much longer than Trophies and were more important in my opinion than something like 'Collected All Intel' for a Trophy in Modern Warfare 3 for example. I would like to think of Nintendo as innovators rather than leaders. Apart from the unique controller design in seventh gen, I don't think the competition has tried to copy Nintendo since then. No, innovators is closer to what I meant, but the word didn't fit in with the saying I chose to use. Although, I think you missed Sony trying to copy the Wii U's Game Pad by giving the Vita the second screen and controller compatibility with the PS4. Not that anyone ever uses it, but still. Thank you for remaining me about that, I totally forgot about remote-play. Sony did have remote play for Sony laptops but it was Nintendo's Wii U that really kicked in the demand for that feature. I mean sure, I'll admit when I was a trophy hunter and wanted to play Pokémon or Zelda I couldn't because I had trophies stuck in my mind always. But it won't ever happen and I'm thankful for that since I literally just fell back hard into Nintendo's products and that I stopped trophy hunting because of stress and bullshit honestly. It's still easily the hardest trophy on the list. Good additions though. This list was fun to make. Maybe I'll make a second one later tonight. Cuz for real that whole trophy/achievement thing fucked up my gaming passion. Some games on 3DS have had in-game trophies (Pokémon Black/White 2 medals, Animal Crossing: New Leaf badges, Hatsune Miku Project Mirai DX stamps, etc.) but they aren't very easy to keep track of and they can be checked in the individual games only.I would prefer them to implement a trophy system similar to PSN to My Nintendo or something.
