Global Warfighters Trophy

This trophy is nothing to mess around with. It glitched for me. Due to the game's age and the lack of information we have on it, I highly suggest going after this trophy in the most meticulous and cautious way possible.

 

After it glitched, I made the decision to go for all of the remaining multiplayer trophies to 1. See if it would unlock, just later than expected, and 2. See if 'Warchief' was also going to glitch. Thankfully for me, it didn't. The main issue surrounding correcting the glitch is EA and their customer support.

 

I will start off by saying this: It is 100% possible to UNLINK your PSN ID from your EA account AND reconnect it, RESETTING your multiplayer rank, as of Sunday, August 23rd, 2020, at 0115 hours E.S.T..

 

In my experience, it's all about who you get on the other line of the phone when you contact EA. Take note, I did say phone call. Don't use chat, it's less personable, over the phone you have a chance of snapping an EA advisor out of their funk and reminding them that you're a fellow person who needs help with something they care about.

 

I was lucky to be paired with an EA Advisor by the name of Andrew, who empathized with my current situation, and genuinely wanted to help me. My previous EA Advisors I had been connected with made it SUPER apparent that they were looking to say what they needed to say in order to not get in trouble for not doing their job, while at the same time getting off the phone as soon as humanly possible. Not Andrew. I was able to explain in full transparency what I was trying to do, and why I was trying to do it, and he understood and wanted to help me out. I was super surprised how enthusiastic he was about helping me. It was after he mentioned how he missed out on getting "Fast and Furious" in Witcher 3 that I realized I had a fellow trophy hunter on the other end of the line.

 

At one point, he put me on hold to ask a 'specialist' what further he could do to help me. When he came back said he was told that he was advised by the 'specialist' that "The game is very old and they don't offer support for it anymore". He didn't let that stop him though. He and I went back and forth with theories and tests until he was able to unlink my PSN ID entirely, so that it was not linked to any EA account. I then uninstalled MOHW and reinstalled it onto my PS3. While it was unlinked, I attempted to join multiplayer, but however could not connect to Origin and therefore could not play.

 

So. What I did after that was I turned off the system, and via help.ea.com, I logged out of my account, and then logged back in using the "SIGN IN USING YOUR PSN ID" option. This effectively RE-Linked my accounts. After doing that, I checked Battlelog for MOHW, and lo and behold, my accounts were once again linked, only this time, I was back to level 1 Private. Boom.

 

THIS IS POSSIBLE, YOU HAVE TO FIND AN ANDREW.

 

Back to what I was saying at the top about being cautious and careful about going after it. All I can offer is to make sure that you try to rank up IN GAME as much as possible. If you feel like the match is ending soon and you risk leveling up in the post match screen, then either exit the match or sign out so it doesn't save and you can try again. If possible, I would boost the levels just to play it safe and make sure you get all of them in game.

 

That's pretty much it. I hope this helps. Never give up!

A bit late but maybe it can help others:

 

Make sure you reach the required amount of XP during the game and not after the game with the xp you get from things like winning the game.

You can always quit the game early and start a new one if you won't make it. I remember getting a disconnect, at first the stats didn't seem to count on the website but after finishing another game the stats from both games were added.

 

This also goes for completing a tour with a certain class. If you get the last bit of xp required for the tour on the stats screen, it'll finish the tour but not count it as finished for the trophy.

Best is to switch class and manually respawn before the end of the game if you're close to completing a tour. In the top right it'll show a progressbar for this when you're close.

Only difference is: If a tour glitches and you know which one, you can still complete it a second time to get the trophy. Or even worse: complete all of them again and still get it.
That's not the case with the other trophies mentioned in this thread.

I asked EA support to delete my account so many times, and they never did their job. Then I had finally found a new solution to unlock this trophy in an easy way. I even helped CS-Sovereign (he posted on this forum), but when I read his post... I have to say that he went through a lot and in bad processing. Yes! You can unlink your PSN ID on your EA account BUT not in CS-Sovereign's way because it's wrong ?

 

Here is my method that I unlocked a glitch trophy and it's 100% working!

1. Create a new EA account with a new email.

2. Go to this link Contact EA Login your original EA account, search 'Origin' > PC > Manage my account > Transfer between accounts > Write your headline 'Unlink my PSN ID'

3. Then you start chatting AND when they say why you want to unlink your PSN ID? You answer them this exactly answer (you can copy and paste the answer)! 'Because my PSN ID is linked to the wrong account, and I want to link it to my actual account (the correct one).'

4. When they finish unlink it, open any EA games and do the login (to link your PSN ID to the new EA account). I did it in PS4 'FIFA 20 Demo' and it worked.

5. Then you can play in online and get the trophy with no problem (be sure to pick the third option, Korea Soldier).

6. After you get the trophy, login to your new account in Contact EA and ask the support again to unlink it. Same as Number 2 and 3.

7. Do the same thing as Number 4. To link your PSN ID back to your original EA account. So that way you will have all your statistics of other games.

8. That's all ?

 

I know it's waaaaaaaaaaay too late now, but it's better to give a new solution than nothing ? I hope you guys find this useful and helpful!

Forum update: Both @Reinachii- and I are among some of the most recent people who have had the “Warchief” trophy bug on them too, if not the only two players in recent time. This double confirms that BOTH “Global Warfighters” and “Warchief” trophies can glitch and not unlock when they are supposed to. For some reason the game undergoes some sort of crash and doesn’t unlock the trophies when they’re earned outside of a multiplayer match. 
 

You might get lucky and only have “Global Warfighters” glitch on you, but if you’re unlucky with “Warchief” like us you will have to boost up to level 74 which will take hours upon hours of playing the multiplayer again to reach 841,000 xp (?). If you can close a lobby like I did you will have a breeze (12 minimum players needed to close a Home Run game—have Zero Dark Thirty DLC downloaded so no one gets kicked from DLC maps and randoms are more likely to get booted due to not owning the DLC). If you decide to play legit you’re looking at a long journey to level 74 due to minimal open lobbies, veteran players, etc.

How to avoid the trophies glitching on you:

DO NOT level up to 14 or 74 while outside of a multiplayer match. This sounds like such an easy task but sometimes bonuses from challenges and other met requirements can skyrocket your xp forward after a match, and even right before one ends. So ALWAYS watch the xp counters at the top left corner (progress bar to next level) and in the pause menu (progress bar for current level) while you’re playing in-game. If you think you’re not going to reach the levels in time while in-game, leave the match early!!!! It’s better to play it safe rather than have to go through the hassle of dealing with people at EA support like Reinachii- and I.

I can confirm that:

1. Warchief can also glitch

2. "Deleting" origin account works. However, the first 3 technicians I spoke to, told me "trophies glitching isn't a real reason to delete an acc". I changed my approach for the next, "I no longer get in-game rewards. My game is glitched". He told me deleting acc won't fix this. He was right; I lost my EA acc, access to online EA games. I created a new origin acc, and linked it using Command & Conquer 3. After regaining access, my stats hadn't been reset. 

Spoke to another technician, who seemed to understand what I was asking, he unlinked my acc instead of deleting. This worked. 

3. Using only tomahawk kills and not changing weapon or solider, it is possible to reach rank 74 in one session.

TL;DR

Dont ask for account deletion, ask for an account unlink.

Global Warfighters glitched for me twice. After first time i spoke with EA Help Desk and they unlinked my Origin account. I lost my progress in all EA games: BF 1, BC 2, Battlefront 1-2, BF 3-4, Need For Speed 2015, NFS Rivals (PS3 and PS4). It was tragedy for me.

Than I've created new Origin account and played online in MoH and secon glitched just happend. So because of one trophy, I won't be abble to platinum in eight games from EA.

You can unlink again. 

 

I feel your pain for losing your progress in the other EA games, but they do ask you to accept the terms before unlinking; which states that you will lose all EA online progress...

Explain one thing to me. What is the purpose of saving Need for Speed on HD, since all my progress is on their servers? It does not make sense.

Well most games have Single player saved locally (your HDD) and online stats server side.

I would like to thank HoorayForTyler because I got the Global Warfighter trophy inside the match. I just want to clarify that it works  and will check to see if Warchief works if I get the trophy in game.

Is it possible to use the unlinked ea account for a different PSN acconunt?

For example; PSN account A is linked to EA account 1; if i unlink them using the above method, can i used EA account 1 on a PSN account B?

Yes, I think it's possible to change your PSN ID in your EA Account. I never did it before, but you can try. If it's not working for some reason, you can link your EA account back to your PSN.

After 30h of hardcore, super sweaty grinding against some of the worst (best?) lifers I've ever encountered...it is done.

As long as you keep a track of your XP to avoid leveling up in the post-game screen - you won't have any problems.

No, I quit mid match after realising my exp would glitch, and I still glitched. So, figure out how much exp you are gonna get for each match, and plan accordingly..

一回アカウント抜けたら、EAのネットの全部のデータが消えてしまう。

またアカウントもう一回繋げるって人言いますけど、自分はしてないので確認出来ません。

wow i was able to unlink my psn account, maybe i can get this trophy finally, but damn my level is still level 74

9年間前にプラチナを諦めていましたがこの方法は試してみたい。しかし、リスクが大きいです。再リンクでデータが戻る確証があれば実行したいと思います。その前にSWBF1とNFS2015が私の試練です。笑

I was pondering platinum this game but the glitched trophies (Global Warfighters and Warchief) discouraged me. It will be really stressful to pay attention to each match to prevent gaining enough xp after the match ends to level up for all 74 levels. 

 

You've already took a heavy burden out, congrats on that. Enjoy the rest of the ride for the platinum.

I finished MP in 4 days , I was PLAYING none stop & thank you didn't expect I will reach that point .
