Lumibella
Cynthia, Red and Blue? That's fantastic. I would also love to see Steven, Wallace and Lance. I really don't like any of their designs. Same here.
DuckSwimmer
This game is uniquely brutal. I say it like that because it's not like typical Pokemon games were your mom and everyone is like goodbye, enjoy your journey. There's such a long story line to it o.o.. I just want to go, explore and catch Pokemon. I typically transfer the other starters to the main game, but considering how long it takes to do this nonsense.. I'm re-considering.. lol. I love my little baby Litten though. Edited November 18, 2016 by DuckSwimmer

Beyondthegrave07
How's everyone's team shaping up? Mine is Torracat, Smeargle (with the HA Moody), and Munchlax. Just beat the first trial!
Dead Weight
Currently have Dartrix, Snorlax, Magnemite, Growlithe, Crabrawler and Rockruff in the rotation
Beyondthegrave07
OK, so I am trying to make a good move set for Smeargle and needed some feedback. Nature: Jolly Ability: Moody Holds: focus sash Dragon Rage Double Team Thunder wave Endeavor I was thinking he could be a good annoyer with this setup and could finish off enemies with the 40 HP dragon rage since Smeargle's firepower isn't great. Jak
NO SPOILERS! All I want to know is; is the post game in this game better than ORAS? Is the story better than XY and/or ORAS? Is the difficulty harder or easier than XY and/or ORAS?

Beyondthegrave07
Is there a National Dex in this game? You can catch Pokémon from all gens, so yes. It even splits it per island as well . NO SPOILERS! All I want to know is; is the post game in this game better than ORAS? Is the story better than XY and/or ORAS? Is the difficulty harder or easier than XY and/or ORAS? Story is definitely better. I don't know about post game, but I heard it's decent. Not as good as black and white 2. It sounds very similar to how ORAS was set up but with a battle tower. That's the best way I can explain it without spoiling. If you are going for Endeavorer, you need Quick Attack. I guess that's my problem. I'm not really sure what to do with that final spot. I want to try and take advantage of the random stat changes (especially evasiveness) in order to make a Smeargle that's difficult to get off the field. lloydelric
Beyondthegrave07 I know about the Alola Pokedex, I mean a Pokedex with all 800 or so pokemon that you usually get post game in past games

You went from story to post game then back to story. With story, note im not referring to the concept and themes of Alola, but the actual story. Also, did you mention the difficulty? If the Battle Tower thing was it, does this also mean the challenge resides in that? I wanted to know the diff of the whole game (I tend to take my time exploring and doing other activities before beating game, so I wont notice immediately. Still havent done first trial yet, but I have 7hrs in so far).

There are superbosses, but their Pokémon are on level 65-70 so it's nothing too ridiculous. I'm not far enough to decide whether it's an actual story or not with a plot It seems like there is based on the character development, but it still feels like more of the same as of now. Battle tree is the 3 vs 3 format where all Pokémon are set to level 50. So it is going to include some sort of challenge. There is also a place solely for battle Royale matches, all set to level 50. Dead Weight
It gets kind of boring just using 6 pokes so now I'm rotating between a bunch of them including: Decidueye, Magneton, Crabrawler, Growlithe, Crobat, Lycanroc, Snorlax, Starmie, Metang, Alolan-Vulpix and Absol

I think I will switch out the starter for a fletchling once it evolves.
Eyjabria
Our preordered games arrived today, just in time for release day. I picked Rowlet as starter and my husband picked Litten. Didn't have time to advance the game further yet. I'm still sad they ditched the sprites for 3D models. The series' graphical and gameplay peak was definitely Black 2 / White 2. The models (especially people) look a bit weird and outdated in Sun & Moon. And this is the first time I've seen a Pokémon game glitch. Looking forward to building a nice team and hoping I can get an Eelektross with Drain Punch again!
DuckSwimmer
I just beat the story for Pokemon Moon today. The last part of the credits hit me hard. Started to get all choked up/eyes tearing up. Really enjoyed this story.
Pershing24
I just started today, though you can get a free Ash Greninja as a gift if you have played the demo for the game. I can't say I'm enjoying it as much as pokemon X, but they do take more advantage of the 3D environment and character models more.

TheVader66
I was just training my Makuhita and look what shows up. A shiny Lillipup, I almost killed it but I realized his eyes were different and the skin was whiter than usual. I am glad that I caught it but now I don't know what to do with it? Since I already owned a Lillipup before in Black 2 though it wasn't shiny. Also I don't care about Shinnies that much as other people but if I see one I do catch it. dmann
I've had Pokemon Sun since Friday, and have done the first island but for collecting bits, and clearing the caught list. My team though, which I want to modify with others slightly; Torracat (M, 22) Starter. Grubbin (M, 18) Plan to keep. Jangmo-o (F, 13) As above. Cottonee (M, 17) Want to swap for Morelull, eventually. Wingull (M, 17) Want to swap this for Mareanie. Diglett (M, 14) Not sure about keeping or exchanging.
DuckSwimmer
Got my guide book in the other day for the game It's got a lot of nice information. Especially locations of some of Pokemon and the rate of how frequent it shows up. Sucks that it doesn't have Post game stuff in it. Apparently according to the little advertisement inside the book, post game info will be in a separate book next year.

Beyondthegrave07
I've just got the ghost trial finished and here is my current 6. 1. Talonflame (lvl 44) 2. Raichu (A) (lvl 45) 3. Smeargle (lvl 46) 4. Whimsicott (lvl 43) 5. Eevee (lvl 40) 6. Metang (lvl 35) Probably one of the most unbalanced teams I've had since my 9-year old self played gold with a Corsola, Politoed, Quagsire, and Suicune all in my party.
