Item Location Help

I'm thinking about writing a guide for this game, so to help expedite the process a bit, I would like to crowd source the obtaining of item information. Below is a google doc with some preliminary framework for a table, and if you have time, I would deeply appreciate it if you can help fill it out. If you want credit for your effort, please put your username in the credits panel.

I'll be up front about this, since I got a plat on the jp one already and trophies between regions aren't unique, I'm not motivated to speed through this game and get information. Also, because of the nature of how open the document is I can't guarantee that the info you provide will not be used elsewhere.

Beyond that, here are some tips for item hunting:

To grind some of the last few items, you'll have to grind them from the 2 post-game dungeons. The easiest way to get a large amount of treasure in these dungeons is through mimics. Luckily the game provides mimics in these areas, In the first post-game dungeon, the museum, after passing the first room, take a right and there should be a mimic. In the second post game dungeon, the opera house, there is a mimic if you use the 2nd checkpoint, go to the next room, and take an immediate left. Once you kill the mimic, immediately, leave the area, and repeat the process till you get the drop you want.

Also, if you are missing items, check the shops, the shops throughout the game have a lot of items that are unique to them. (I'll mark these out in the google docs)

Lastly, if you are trying to get #15 and #16 Ability Changes, farm Mistral. The basic strategy for Mistral is start at the 2nd checkpoint. Flip the switch and kill the demon in the adjoining room to open the door.  In the next room, run past everyone, if you kill all 4? enemies, the gate will lock on you and force you to fight a few waves of enemies. Same with the next room, do not open any chest or fight any enemies, just run through the gap in the wall without killing anyone, otherwise you'll fight more waves of enemies. You should now be on a giant staircase before a door with a giant wolf before you. Kill him, and try to raise your transformation gauge to max. Don't worry if your gauge is not maxed though. With the wolf and his summons dead, run into the next room, and just keep running till you get to the exit. You should now be in Mistral's room. Run down the staircase and fight her. As soon as the fight starts, run up to her, and Transform into Nightmare form, and hopefully kill her in 10s. Get the chest with Ability Changes, and then leave. This whole process should take about 2 minutes. (I plan to make a video about this, but that'll happen later)

If you have other tips for item hunting, feel free to share.

When asking for help to write a guide, it seems very ungrateful not to credit others for taking the time to help you. You could easily create a tab for the credits, that way people can add their usernames. Just my two cents.

Okay I guess I can try that. Problem is mostly that, since I set it so that everyone can edit, people can easily erase each other and do other malicious things. It is also hard to tell who actually put good information up and who didn't.

The same could be done with the information. You can disable the functions, except for the people who actually want to help.

I could, but for now, I wanted to lower the barrier of entry so I can get information out there. If it is getting messed up often, or the project is nearing completion, I'll start restricting editing permissions.

If anyone happens to know where item 95 on the equipment page is let me know.  I've been grinding and farming and still haven't found it yet (this one has a silhouette that looks like a horseshoe).

95 is from a shop. From how I can interpret the jp wiki, it is in the shopping district, on the sewer side.

I can't find no 073. Any ideas where it might be? I have all other equipment, abilities, event items except for 073 under equipment. Thanks in advance.

Given how high of a number 73 is (out of the 77 items you have to get as drops), probably best to farm the mimic in the Opera House.

I need equipment 096, 097, 098, ability change 007, 011 and 012, where can I get them?

edit: Found 096, 097 and 098, they can be bought in the sewers. Now all that's left are the ability  changes. Any ideas? Should I just farm Mistral?

I recommend farming the ability changes in Hall of Infinite Darkness than fighting Mistral.

For the Infinite Hall you don´t have to be strong at all.

Use 2 Hamelin Pipes or more. in 2 of your decks put a Picker cat. Summon Picker Cat and use its burst and it will find 2 Items. Switch to the other Deck with the other Picker Cat and repeat. You can do this right after entering where no mobs are. Your Hamelin Pipes are keeping your SP topped up and you can pretty much find anything there with exeption of the Items you can buy from the Shops and the Fetisch you only get from the Trade Area. If you keep doing this for 3 minutes per run you can also do the trade Areas at the same time, saving some time during the 300 Requests.

@espidifen

after you finished the Main Storyline any new actualized Servant might have the Nightmare transformation faktor.

Even using this method, I've spent hours trying to get one item #51, Aegis Shield, and for the life of me it won't drop.

I don't seem to get any rewards from the Arena anymore either. I've seen that it is a drop from the toy soldiers post game at the shrine,  but haven't had luck either. Anyone know another alternate location for this item?
