Please can someone tell me how the F**K to unlock this piece of crap trophy...

 

* Win an event using the headcam (which is the description of the trophy)

* Win an event using the headcam and forcing external cameras to off

* Win an event using the headcam, forcing external cameras to off and turning HUD completely off

* Win an event using the headcam, forcing external cameras to off, turning HUD completely off and disabling Cockpit Driver & Wheel

As you may have noticed I get quite pi**ed off with vague descriptions which are NOT true!

Pretty easy with no problems at all and combined it with When Jon Met Paul. On custom rally I've just changed to headcam before the race started without any restrictions from the options.

Well I just tried that and the When Jon Met Paul trophy pinged - but the I am the 5% did not...

I just did the i am the 5% by doing a stage not in career and also got when jon meat paul

I just got this trophy too. I don't know why I didn't get it in career since I always use cockpit view but to get it I made a Custom Rally, one stage in Germany and before the stage started I turned the HUD off and turned the "force no external cam" on. After I won the stage the trophy popped.

I just tried this and no pop - are you able take screenshot of your game preferences - I must be missing one simple piece... this is SO frustrating!

Transmission: Automatic

Clutch Override: On

Allow Exterior Cameras: ON

Automatic Launch Control: On

ABS: 5

Traction Control: Off

Stability Control: Off

Entire HUD: Off

Co-driver Calls: Normal

Camera Shake: 100%

Cockpit Driver & Wheel: Enabled

Manual Windscreen Wipers: Off

 

FINALLY unlocked it - it makes no sense why allowing external cameras would alter whether or not I won. If anything, allowing them should be set to OFF to force the user to headcam. Anyway - vague trophy descriptions were the issue here - glad it's been resolved!

Glad you finally got it, Codemasters definitely could've done a better job with the trophy description or just had it pop for people who used cockpit cam the whole stage without having to mess with settings.

I've been trying to get it, I only use headcam and used it since beginning. Tried all the different settings no trophy. Im sure its glitched and when you say there is a clear cut solution it really isnt ome unless im completely wrong...

I've tried the settings listed above and no luck. I've tried doing this in League, Custom Event and Custom Championship.

Against the AI and also tried Personal Best. Nothing seems to work. I've also tried a number of different settings (not that it should matter since only being in headcam should matter).

I got a chunk of other trophies by doing League but this one didn't pop when it should have.

I've even tried with a brand new save file, and also on another PS4.

Headcam is not my normal view (and this is not an easy game either) so it isn't easy for me to keep winning or even driving in this view

The "allow exterior cameras" setting should still be set to on. If you struggle playing with it, use this guide.

Thanks, I will try it all again but I have actually tried doing all of that several times and it wouldn't unlock  I've tried a few different combinations of settings and in different modes but it just doesn't want to pop for me. But I'll try again and make sure exterior cameras is set to Allow.

I too suffered from this trophy not popping until very recently.. The fix?

For anyone still confused about or struggling with this trophy, the way I was,  I'd like to give some insight on how it finally popped for me. I advise going for it while we can still exploit the League feature before it shuts down.

 

Initially I tried everything, even the "Maximum Attack" trophy popped immediately at the end of the 12 stage league event I finished with all assists Off but I couldn't get 5% to unlock. No matter if I played 1 Stage 1 Event League or Custom Event (Personal best time) the trophy wouldn't pop and I tried all the above settings combinations.

As per Shaun's experiment I thought I'd try a way with either 2 stages in 1 Event or with more players/AI.

 

Instead I just combined both of them in Leagues by creating 1 Event with 2 Stages (both short German stages) had my dummy account join it (yes it's a bit tedious, send a friend request to your main so their leagues immediately show up in Find a League and join, set Entry to Open). I then ran particularly bad races with my dummy in both events to get long and comfortably beatable times. Switched to my main and while using the below settings by Guzza I won both stages and the event. The trophy popped immediately at the end of the Event.

 

Leagues

1 Event - 2 Stages

At least one other competitor.

Transmission: Automatic

Clutch Override: On

Allow Exterior Cameras: ON

Automatic Launch Control: On

ABS: 5

Traction Control: Off

Stability Control: Off

Entire HUD: Off

Co-driver Calls: Normal

Camera Shake: 100%

Cockpit Driver & Wheel: Enabled

Manual Windscreen Wipers: Off

 

Please do make note that you have to set the camera to Headcam in any race BEFORE you start the League Event. Any Custom Championship can be entered, camera changed and then retired from to continue on with the same camera setting so it becomes your default camera.

 

I know some of the parameters like the 2 stages or more players or the settings themselves might not be needed but after struggling for a few hours with this trophy this is how I finally got it. Hope it helps!

...and still nothing. Sheesh. I'm totally out of time to use the League feature, too, any clue what else I might be missing that I'll need to do this offline?
