12 Slot Weapon

Whao, it really seems like I had too much luck ... I had 2 or 3 legendary's with 12 sockets, after playing the game for like 15 hours in total. I finished the game once, then I joined people who play on Legend and are Level 30 / 300. Mostly Level 1-1 / 1-2.

I had my friend and 2 other high levels pull me through a 5 wave Ark Ship and got my 12 slot literally on the first run.

I actually got 2 more after that in the course of leveling my other characters and finishing up the DLC trophies.  In my experience though, the lower difficulties actually tend to yield more Legendaries, despite how the game is supposed to give more at higher levels 2/3 of mine were on the lowest difficulty, and as I mentioned the first was in Ark Ships which I believe ensures atleast 1 legendary per wave, if you get through all 5, that's 5 chances.  

The cores to fill the thing actually took me twice as long mindless grinding of Barrow for Cores and UFO keys, run UFO once, back to Barrows was a sad process.

I put this game down.. two years ago.. saw it still downloaded on my ps4 and thought, “hey, why not?” I’m a huge housemarque fan and I totally LOVE dead nation. Pre-ordered alienation.. so..

 

played about five or so missions on legend difficulty, and I finally got my twelve slot.. my tank is 30-300.. I’ve put at least 40 hours into him.. most likely 50+

 

heres the big BS part.. start on my saboteur playthrough.. same day.. within the same hour actually.. I had bought the veterans pack to get level 15 instantly with saboteur and bio-specialist.. also, picked up the DEVASTATOR gun DLC.. got not one, but TWO twelve slot level 30 legendary weapons.. BOTH were devastators.. I was shocked.. I felt like the game delivered a slap to my face.. anyways.. I’m about 3 to 4 missions out from my plat with the bio-specialist.. 

 

i wasted HOURS of my life on this trophy... seriously.. spent so much time and finally got it.. was about to delete it, as I was cleaning out my library on games I had downloaded that I had either already platinumed or that I knew I wasn’t ever gonna get around to playing..

Play solo, on Veteran difficulty World 2 (My map was Pripyat, Ukraine 1.Hard Landing). Be level 30/100 at least. . Go around destroying all the respawn beacons first (DON'T DIE).  Then do all the events and explore the whole map taking out all the enemies you find.  I got a 12 slot flamethrower dropped by a random enemy.  Results vary but that is my story,  Good luck.

 

I think the key may be playing on veteran (solo) and destroying all the respawn beacons right away. Maybe.

Making this post because I was looking for the info myself.

 

Almost all of 12 slot weapon posts on the Internet are useless. It's either anecdotal "I got this weapon under those circumstances" or old GameFAQs posts telling to play on Veteran (I assume it was the highest difficulty back then).

Right now the best way to get the weapon is an Ark run on Legend difficulty. Legend gives +800% legendary rarity increase and in one run, which took about 20-30 minutes, I got like 12 legendary weapons. One of them was 12-slot boomerang-on-shot Minigun.

Furthermore, Ark chests drop high tier upgrade orbs, which will cut hours of unnecessary grind for those 12 6-tier orbs.

 

The Legend Ark run should be done with a team, 1-man run is a suicide, since mission fails on team wipe. There are at least 6-10 open teams during weekend. If you don't see any teams to join, try closing the game and going to Ark window as soon as you log-in back.

 

The last thing to remember is to not be a dead weight. Don't join right when you unlock the Ark, since you will be dying in one hit. Use boomerang/lighting/knockback-on-shot weapons, actively use all skills you have, and always revive your teammates.

I had a similar experience. I finished my first 2 playthroughs on normal mode with the tank and saboteur classes. No 12slots. Then i went for a hardcore run with the biospecialist and i got a 12 slot, but i had no intentions on farming lv6 cores on this mode so i went back to my saboteur class and played all kinds of missions on veterean difficulty and up to legend difficulty and i noticed legendary drops were really low! After 3 evenings of farming and reaching lv 30/166 i played some of the first maps on rookie, destroying 3 spawn beacons first, then clearing all challenges and bosses on the map. Legendary drops were very frequent. I definitely got more than on veteran/legend difficulty!! After my third clear i got a 12slot from a teleportation mission chest. Maybe you should give this a try when farming for a 12 slot. Best of luck!

I was at level 30/270 when I finally got a 12 slots weapon (flamethrower), I played several levels on legend but never got enough luck, in the end I played the Ark Ship on legend and after some runs, a lot of legendary weapons drops, I finally got a 12 slots one. I think Ark Ship on legend is the best way since you can get several legendary tier weapons from there.

If you find a rusher you can do a full run in 30min, if you find someone who wants to kill everything then you will need around 1h.

No 12 slot weapons have been found. lol

 

I hate my luck. =/

I have been getting quite a lot of other number slot legendaries but no 12 slots.

I play in novice world 2 in pripiat map.

 

GZ! Yeah getting the 12 core to me a long time aswell. It's all up to RNG.

I joined a legendary ark ship, and got it the first round. The guys i were running with, were very fast and i almost missed it due to full inventory…
