Changed Cover Art?

I remember admiring the beautiful healthy looking skin of our young heroines on the japanese cover:

But the english title seems to have covered up their beautiful features:

Was there anything wrong with the first cover? It was clearly superior. What is wrong with the world?

Different cultural sensibilities. Just because you and a handful of other people who have made it your business to immerse yourself in video games from a different country and have become understanding of certain conventions doesn't mean that there's "something wrong with people". It's the same reason behind why it's considered rude to eat with a certain hand in certain cultures but not others, showing certain parts of the body in public, or having to wear certain articles of clothing at places of worship.

This seem to just be a consequence of the wider logo and the extra height of the rating compared to the JP cover more than anything deliberate.

Just gonna point out that these cases also need to be appropriate for store shelves or retailers may be more reluctant to stock the game, especialy when they're niche as it is. In a sense, they still need to give a damn about the general public or else their games will be pushed aside even more than they are now, cutting off potential sales from people who may end up looking at the game at their local game store.

The cover from Hyperdevotion Noire: Goddess Black Heart was the most censored between MegaTagmension and Megadimension as I saw, tat censorship looks absurd, but at least, the fact about the clothes in HN U was censored, up of all, about Vert
