Best Guns to get Kills?

Recommended Posts

As anyone that has played this game knows, 10,002 kills is a chore, what guns/classes do you all find easiest to use? Also are there any good tactics you know to get kills fast?

If you're not planning on boosting the kills, you can choose the weapon you like. There isn't that much of a difference, except maybe high-frequency weapons usually kill faster than high-damage ones (well, except for shotguns).

Good tactics would be to git gud. There isn't a best way to do many kills, unless you find a full server and get the chopper (or spawn-rape enemy team).

Good luck!

First of all, make sure you're playing Gold Rush and not Conquest. Smaller maps means more kills.

Back in the day I used the assault rifle, until one day I played with a friend and noticed he had a lot of kills in each session.  I wondered which gun he was using and he told me he used a light machine gun. So after that I was like hmm might want to try that one out and see if I can manage to get as many kills. From that point on it escalted quickly. With the LMG I made a lot more kills in each session. If I remember correctly I've unlocked the Wild Car 'Full Deck' around four times legit, by using the LMG. Can't recall which LMG it was though. It has been a while since I played this game. :P

Hopefully that helps. If I were you I'd just try different guns and see what works best. To be honest I think it's more like personal preference.

Class with auto pistol like pp-200 and ump are best i think, dont make domage on long shoot but very good on close 1 vs 1. With C4 you can destroy all cars. When you see a jeep, juste try actract his attention and when he see you put C4 on ground and wait he go on and boom lol.

I'm starting to stick to conquest as it's faster paced and if the teams are balanced I can end each round with a minimum of 20 kills.

To answer your question the pros before me are right in saying that the compact rifles which the specialist class uses are by far the best when you talk about comparing weapons.

In larger maps you're correct in using the xm8. Long range accuracy and damage win out against classes like the specialist and the support class.

In cramped quarters I also like the demolition class because shotgun can one shot everyone up close.

Tactics. Well if I cared about my k/d ratio I would be more tactical and use cover and never rush into a fight. This game has killed my spirit in going for the Plat and at first foolishly attempting at doing all of the awards legit. Now I just run after everyone even though I know my chances of dying in a single unscoped shot from a recon are usually pretty good.

You will find your stride. You're in for a long grind.

While I find the UMP great, you can really only get 1 kill every life due to not having health regen, hence why I prefer assault, but I may try switching over to conquest!

How many kills are you on? You've got the difficult trophy out of the way, you can't stop now man! It is a long grind yes, but if you play in short bursts it won't feel as bad! Try enjoy the game, that's what I do, and I don't set myself kill targets, I just play and get as much as I can

Well I usually count on guys like you. Assault class leaves me a quick health pickup everytime I win.

Not giving up but real life smacked me in the face and had to cut back. And you're right about kill targets. I set bedtime targets instead with the only exception being that I at least have one positive k/d round. Sometimes you're handed a handicapped team which makes success on any level difficult.

Currently at 7900 ish kills. Still a ways to go for sure.

I find it interesting that you think the difficult trophy is the "I am Bad Company" trophy. Not true my friend. A good boosting session host and 24 people will eventually get the pop on that one. The kills are insane with maps being as big as they are I find it brutal. If I get less than 1 kill per minute per round I'm disappointed and it happens about half of all rounds that I play.

Let's do the math 10002/60=166 hours. And that's assuming that you get a kill per minute. Then factor in that half of that time you don't actually achieve that kind of rate. So add another 83 hours to that which brings it to 250 hours. Also factor in that the game glitches out say 20% of the time and that your skill level at first will suck comparing yourself to pros etc. I would add another 50 hours as suck factor. So we're now at 300 hours.

Doesn't sound like much but assume like I am that you can only put in one good solid hour per day. You're hovering near the 1 year mark for only one single trophy.

It will suck the life out of you. The only way it won't is to give up. I won't do that.

PS I know my math is flawed just making assumptions to draw a picture.

I agree with Judas, I'm finally done with kills but god, the amount of times I got burnt out and thought I won't return to it is too high.

I did the awards in 3 weeks, all self boosted with 2 PS3 except strike and saviors, back in 2014 October. Nolifed the crap out of the game, getting the "hard part" done, assumed that if I get those done early I'll enjoy just focusing on kills more. Well I was super wrong... Only had around 2500 kills by then and every single kill I got since that felt like such a chore. I kept taking months of breaks before briefly returning again. Only now with these 24 player sessions did I finally feel like I can get this done at a bearable speed.

Most of the time I find myself stuck in a bad spot either way.

My default is Demo class with NS2000 shotgun.  In most cases I am close range anyways and the one-shot kills makes life easier.  The only hard part is making that shot count with 100% accuracy.  Otherwise I do a little dance and maybe get a second shot off to counter.  Most of the time I find myself going against vehicles too... in that case the RPG and mines come in handy.

FYI, I also heal myself by picking up dead assault kits, and then switching back.

My 2nd class is assault with AN-94.  It's got high level accuracy, I found it was better for me than the XM8.  Usually I can get some kills with this and stay alive a bit longer with the stim.  This gun is decent at medium range and close up.

I'm terrible with the PP2000/UMP.  Doesn't matter how many shots I get, the people always survive lol.
