Back in 2011 when I first played this on PS3, I didn't think much of it. It wasn't a favorite of mine. But now, for some reason, I absolutely love it! It's the same game it was a few years ago, but now it's like age did this game some good. Does anyone else feel the same way?

I think maybe it is the lack of hype this time around? When that first trailer came out people were creaming themselves so much Tide stock prices went through the roof. Then the actual game came out and people were like "that's it"

 

I kept hearing all this bad stuff about the series but when I picked up Riptide I had a blast with it.

 

So the moral of the story is people need to get off the Hype Trains and actually just enjoy games as they come out (see also Watch_Dogs, Destiny, Duke Nukem Forever, Titanfall etc)

Well, it's possible your taste in games has changed in that time. It's been 5 years  since it's original release. That's a long time.

This is a little out of the blue, but Xian running around in high heels through the whole game, I call bullshit on that one. You know how swollen her feet would be?

I liked the game on PS3 but that was only because of weapon glitches and OP knives... but that was patched out and made the game extremely hard.

So I'm not too sure if I should get this again on PS4.

I loved both games on Xbox, PS3, and I'll love them on PS4 again.

The game runs much better it seems like to me. The graphics are a lot better and the framerate seems more stable and that does wonders for the gameplay. I am excited to play Riptide because that was better than DI1 so I wonder how good the remaster is too.

Looking to pick this up today or tomorrow. Pretty excited to get back into the Dying Light-esque side of things.
