Oobedoob S Benubi
Earlier this year, I decided to go play on the SNES again. My collection is mainly one of the 'best of' classics of the era, combined with some sentimental nostalgia. What titles would you recommend, or do you need recommendations yourself? Thise are the titles I have now (strike through means I've already played through them since starting again): AladdinAsterix & ObelixDaffy Duck: The Marvin MissionsDonkey Kong CountryDonkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong QuestDonkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double TroubleEarthworm JimF-ZeroJungle BookJurassic ParkJurassic Park 2: The Chaos ContinuesLemmingsThe Legend Of Zelda: A Link To The PastThe Lion KingMickey ManiaThe SmurfsStreet Fighter Alpha 2Super Castlevania IVSuper Mario Bros.Super Mario Bros.: The Lost LevelsSuper Mario Bros. 2Super Mario Bros. 3Super Mario KartSuper Mario WorldToy Story One of the games I still want to get for nostalgia reasons is Tiny Toons: Buster Busts Loose. I'm also hoping that now I've matured a bit, I can finally get through Super Castlevania IV. Edited October 30, 2016 by BillyHorrible
GarciaFever
I don't know if this is for the right system, but what about Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars?
Oobedoob S Benubi
Definitely the right system. It was never released for Europe though, my only experience with it is on an emulator. I do have a converter now so I could get the US cartridge but this game's price has been inflated like crazy, especially over here where we always had to look abroad for it. It is very high on my wish list but only if I can get it for a semi-reasonable price.
Conker
You should get the only unlicensed SNES game Super Noah's Ark 3D. Plays similar too Wolfenstein 3D
Super-Fly Spider-Guy
I played through Super Star Wars recently (on PS4) and that game's actually surprisingly fun, I remember hating it, but I also remember sucking...so. Hope Empire and Jedi make it to PS4 some day too.
Oobedoob S Benubi
You should get the only unlicensed SNES game Super Noah's Ark 3D. Plays similar too Wolfenstein 3D Looks like fun, but not enough fun for me to actually pay something for it :-) I probably would play it for a couple of minutes and then never plug it in again. I played through Super Star Wars recently (on PS4) and that game's actually surprisingly fun, I remember hating it, but I also remember sucking...so. Hope Empire and Jedi make it to PS4 some day too. I was so proud that I could play through all three on the SNES, without save games or anything... Most of my friends could not get past Lava Beast Jawenko. Though many did not notice that there was a difficulty hidden in the option menu... Maybe if they'd played on easy?

DaivRules
Secret of Mana Legend of Gaia Final Fantasy III (US) (it's actually FF6, but this is how I first experienced it and it's nostalgic for me) Ogre Battle!!!! I could recommend more but off the top of my head these 4 titles ruled my SNES for over 1,000 combined, easily.
Crono
Chrono Trigger: the best RPG EVER! I and a big part of google search second this! Also in RPGs: Earthbound and Terranigma, which make the 3 titans of RPG for the SNES imo. The best of the best. Other awesome games: Killer Instinct Contra III Gradius 3 Megaman x to x3 Edited June 10, 2016 by Lord_of_Ra
MMDE
If you want some recommendations: Super Metroid (probably my favorite game for SNES) Final Fantasy 4-6 Chrono Trigger Secret of Mana Earthbound Axelay (if you're at all into shmups)

de_digibeet
Secret of Mana, still my all time favorite RPG Lufia 1 & 2 Chrono Trigger Legend of Zelda: a Link to the Past (I know, not a real RPG, but still quite enjoyable) any Final Fantasy of course Mystic Quest Legend Secret of Evermore Mario RPG Goof Troop was hard on my own, I played with my brother and cleared within a day. Getting 102-104% in donkey kong 2 and 3 within a few hours used to be fun, the nostalgia . I never did manage that in donkey kong 1 for some reason. It was harder to keep track in the first game. jasondm300
to me, the greatest 3 games of all time: Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana and Earthbound. So many, many great games on this system. Super Metroid, Secret of Evermore, Illusion of Gaia, Final Fantasy II, III and Mystic Quest, Killer Instinct, and Super MArio RPG. Also, all 3 Mega man Xs. They never had english releases, but Tales of Phantasia, Star Ocean, Bahamut Lagoon and Liva a Live are all fantastic too. Oobedoob S Benubi
Thanks for replying, all! Awesome that a little SNES thread can pick up steam like this. If I hadn't already been sure about my choice in forum sites, I would be now! I see some awesome mentions in there, and some titles I will definitely have to check out. I'm not really an RPG guy (sorry) so many of these titles are not for me but I still enjoy Super Mario RPG, which has been mentioned a whole bunch of times now. Some mentioned games that were already on my wish list are Mega Man X, Earthworm Jim 2, Super Metroid, EVO, Street Fighter II Turbo... Some titles that haven't been mentioned yet but that I'd love to get as well: Aliens vs Predator Sim City (maybe Sim City 2000, was that one fun on the SNES?) Super Bomberman
