yep the ai for the people you need to save is still shit, I have been trying to bring 4 people with me to the safe house to only have one of them think it's fun to stop and try and kill the zombies and then they die over and over again for 1 hour now, if anyone knows of a way to do this please let me know because the people in this just piss me off when I did this on 360 and doing it again is making me more pissed off.

Done this on 360, probably one of the worst achievements I ever had to do on that console. No easy shortcuts, and it took me a good 20+ runs to get it down even then. Would really recommend leaving this till dead last - or at the very least until you're level 50 and have all stats maxed. Don't use one shot kill weapons, and always keep a queen handy - you *will* mess up over and over even if you have a good strat as the RNG and AI is probably some of the worst I've seen in a video game. That being said, I really recommend using this guide:

https://www.gamefaqs.com/xbox360/928326-dead-rising/faqs/44443

It got me through it (eventually), but it is mostly up to you memorizing routes and forcing the AI to do their job.

EDIT: Oops, thought you meant for the 'Saint' trophy (should have read that post twice). Still, the guide is good general advice for rescuing survivors anyway!

Of course the AI is still bad. It's just a remastering not a remake so nothing aside from the HD visuals and trophy support has been changed.

Sony actually has a policy against altering games in such ways from their original release, which is why games like Final Fantasy VII and Dark Cloud/Chronicle still have their glitches like the W-Item and Broken Dagger.

that is a flat out lie, kingdom hearts final mix hd was fixed in making it less hard to control and made it a tad more like kingdom hearts 2 controls plus gave a lot more then what the old final mix did on ps2 so I think they should of at least fixed the ai as it's nothing too big it's just coding that can be fixed, also on the note of that we all remember the big crap hd remaster being silent hill 2 and 3 for ps3 because we know how bad that is, they got rid of the old voices and left in frame rate that makes the game slow down to a dead slow making the game nearly unplayable or damn right broken.

The only thing I am trying to say on this is they could of easily fixed this as this is a hd remaster it's just a bit of coding that could make it better along with the hd make over.

the reason for the poor silent hill 2/3 port i think was because the people who did the port only had the alpha version from konami as they somehow lost the original code it was in. at least that what was my friend told me. which is the reason for the poor cutscenes, and pretty much everything else that is wrong with the port. the original sh2 and 3 are so much better.

Square Enix lost the assets from the original game so they had to rebuild the game from scratch so that's an exception.

Please do your research first before you call something a "lie" since that's really insulting and could get you reported.

That's pretty much true although the reason seems to be different depending on the person, such as the original code wasn't lost but was stored in a un-playable form instead for example.

I did all of the achievements on the 360 version and I will give you one piece of advice, your first playthrough ignore everything and unlock zombie genocider. It unlocks the mega buster which is the best weapon in the game with 200 shots, and it always respawns in the safe room. It makes escorting survivors a piece of cake.

It seems weird that to refute him you linked to that article rather than the supposed Sony policy. Where is that policy? I sure can't find anything about it, and I can't for the life of me imagine why Square-Enix losing *graphical* assets would mean that Sony suddenly doesn't care if they change *camera* controls.

But besides that, there are plenty of other HD remasters that had changes too.

Changes to Ratchet and Clank HD

A game-breaking bug was fixed in the HD remaster of Jak 2

All three of the Sly games received changes in their HD remasters (mostly related to audio)

In FFX, some new UI elements were added, some character faces were changed, and the "Home" glitch was fixed

Some gameplay changes were made to MGS2 and MGS3 HD (e.g., the button mashing sequence at the end of MGS 2 HD is much shorter and easier than in the original game)

etc., etc., etc.

So why are all of those games exceptions to Sony's supposed "no altering the game" policy?

So this is about gameplay or really about them being lazy to not really "fix" the ai to make the trophy more easier to get? Because if its more about trophy, I would see why they didn't even bother.

My guess is that Sony must have quietly changed that policy because for some reason I can't find that interview with Kaz Hirai over their game code altering policy with remasters which included "not allowing the changing of A.I. patterns from the original release" among other things.

Either that or it was click-bait and I fell for it. God dammit.

Sony however does have a policy towards infringed content but that's about things like real world items, people, locations, etc. being portrayed without undated permission, copyright stuff in other words, which caused Capcom problems when they tried (and eventually succeeded) to bring Mega Man Legends over to PSN.

Edit: I just remembered that the "interview" was only on Kotaku, which should have raised a red flag to begin with.

I did do my research, and that is why I called you a lier there is nothing on google about this policy, there is as much nothing to the "policy" as there is nothing to try and find anything about games like haven call of the king or shadow of rome.

And to top it all off all remasters do something to the old game then just a hd make over, take the games I said or even metro 2033 on ps4 they fixed the ai in it and made it a lot better then the 360 one of it, all games that are remastered should fix problems that is in the game, I just wanted them to fix the ai because levelling up in this game is a pain because of how dum they are and how much they run into the zombies with nothing but their small hands to fight them off even though I tapped the "come to me" button 2 times. They fixed the ai in 2 and made it a lot better and if some of the people who needed to be carried and you never wanted to do that you can just pick up a book that let's them walk normal, the only book in this game that does let that happen comes too far to late and that is half way in the game if you do the side quest to fight a boss.

Yes, escorting the survivors is still the most frustrating thing about this game. Like when trying to get the Frank The Pimp trophy (escort 8 female survivors at the same time), absolutely will make you tear the hair off your head. The worst part is getting 7 of them to where they need to go, but one gets grabbed by a zombie, so you have to place a marker and have the other 7 wait while you go back and get this one dumb zombie off the survivor so they can get back with the rest of the group. It was frustrating 10 years ago on 360, and its frustrating now on PS4.

the ai is absolutey HORRIBLE

yesterday i hit 46 survivors and i was running fast a fkn possible but i was also doing the case missions as well which im still not sure if i could of skipped. there was 2 girls i was trying to save and i finally had to leave them to rescue isabella because they were so dang slow!!!!

i almost had the 8 people with me at once. i had 7 and saved at a bathroom, but they just could NOT make it back to the security room without one dying. so grabbing one more was just useless. im going to try again with the blaster so i can pave a way for them so they dont get caught

a HUGGGGEEEEE tip i found out is, use the shortcut!!!!

to get the shortcut beat the chainsaw person on top of the amusement rides and follow the security guy you free. i cant stress how much this saves my people from getting killed outside or anywhere else

definately just play for fun until you reach level 50. before going for anything big like saint and etc.

orange juice seems to be great for health or wine, and if your near the antique store stock up on battle axes they beat bosses down pretty darn good. and if you get a chance to grab the magazine to make the blades last longer. also there is a nice katana under the juices on a ledge where kent is.

last another tip, you can save your best erotica picture and use it in the next round. this saves time when dealing with kent

also there are a few survivors that arent scoops you have to find
