problem Blight-Queller

This can indeed be tricky, but do not rely on the counter. Here's how I did it :

If you have the awakening dlc, start up a new mage character (you'll have no kills registered), get through the main storyline up to the final fight. Choose to save the keep, and at the first spawn point after the cutscene get a manual save and head to the main gate without your party (hold).

Use area of effect (I used fire and earthquake + regenerate), and once the auto-save pops up after the fight, reload your save and do over.

It'll take you about an hour from that point on and you'll be done. It's a sure way post-patch, and at least you don't have to spend your time counting kills...

yes

I arrived at 1250 using the main story + DLC.

using 1 character.

You have to get the 1000 kills in the main story (DLC doesn't count for the trophy) I had the same trouble...

and as already mentioned you have to kill them with your warden, the other characters do not count... (at least if you don't have the japanese version).

But as far as I know it doesn't matter if you controll the main character or not.

The in game tracking is the total of all Dark pawn killed by your entire party. The trophy requires each killing glow to be done by your main.

Make a save in the elven alienage during the final battle near the big tree. Leave your party by the big tree and make your way through to the gate, killing every Darkspawn you see. At the gate just reload the save and repeat.

It is much easier to do this with a mage but you can do it with a warrior or Rogue as well. If you are dying, take Wynn and allocate all her points into healing, buffing, and trap spells. Set up her priorities to keep you alive and debilitated enemies so you can kill them faster and easier. Again, have everyone else wait at the tree.

Hello.
I confirm that it has eliminated more than 1000 darkspawn with my character principal, though nothing trophy.

what can I do?  :(  :(

I had the same problem as you, just keep playing the last final battle, the archdemon, over and over and you will get it soon!

I saw different people claiming it can be done during few play throughs, can't confirm it though, not yet at least.

I would be logical however, since it's basicly impossible to get the legit way with only one character.

But I can be mistaken.

that won't work (can't say it for the JP version) but for the other. Since I played this game over and over for this stupid trophy when I platiniumed this game the first time on an old account and I can say that it didn't worked with multiple playthroughs it has to be in 1.

I choosed to repead the fights at the stairs before you reach the part with the "castle-entrance". I just repeated it until it poped up (until then I still needed about 600 -.-')

I just got Master warden trophy. Repeating over and over and over... This trophy needs patience.

I confirmed that method of save at ailinge, kill dark sporn and load previous save point was working.

They do not count unless I myself have to kill darksporn but not party members.

The next goal is to get Blight Queller..

This may be a bit old, but I figured I should post my experience in case it helps anyone in the future.

I had the patch and all DLCs installed from the moment I started playing DA:O.
I just got Blight-Queller in the Awakening expansion, concretely confirming that the trophy can be earned in DLC.

I kept replaying the battle at the Keep, killing all the Darkspawn I could. Before the battle, I created a party that comprised myself and no one else. From the beginning of the battle, you can earn 100-200 kills depending on how effective you are.

For those with the patch installed, statements about the 1000 kills having to come from the player warden are correct.

The only thing I am uncertain about is if starting the Awakening DLC resets the internal 'invisible' kill count (the one that matters). I think I killed well over 1000 as the player warden so that might have been the case, but I cannot confirm this either way.

I think forsake this platinum. the game is great, it's all the fault of this trophy. one day I will return to dragon age.

thanks friends

Hey, I know how you feel man.

I thought that I was the only one experiencing this problem and it's such a simple task, nothing complicated about the trophy. Further, I have completed the Warden's Keep DLC and I am pretty such that I have killed over 1000 Darkspawn by now!

I will say after reading through the replies, I feel inspired to take another try at getting the Blight-Queller trophy. I'm going to try some of these suggestions.

Sorry, I know this is an old reply but, do you know if kills still track if you die during killing darkspawn in the Alienage?

I sometimes get overwhelmed by darkspawn and unfortunately die, but I made a save by the tree in the Alienage. If I reload from that previous save after I die, do my kills still track from before I died? Or do I have to wait for the auto-save to show?

Any help or insight is appreciated!

Can confirm that the kills do, in fact, stack - even if you die. Got Blight-Queller tonight. :)
