Dragn_Whytefyre
I don't think I'll be getting it. The more I play, the less I like the game. No. That's not accurate. I hate this game. So many things that totally irritate me about it, from a pointless "Death" spell that rarely, if ever, works, to seriously overpowered enemies to way underpowered Eidolons. Don't think I've ever played a more lopsided game than this one in terms of battle strength. So to anyone/everyone who got the platinum for this beautiful hot mess, my hat is off to you. Seriously. I mean it.

Sigma999
I'm thinking of going for this plat when about to start the game . And haven't played any FF yet except for a bit of FF VI on PS1 but i also have the FF X/X-2 HD collection so j think it will be better if i start with FF X first . AARCT1C
One good thing about this game is the music. because, let's be honest, it's freaking amazing. Here's how I read what you wrote. The game can be a pain I know, but it does have an amazing soundtrack! I don't think I'll be getting it. The more I play, the less I like the game. No. That's not accurate. I hate this game. Take a look at this paradigm guide, it should be very helpful.
Saionji
I think soundtrack was very good in FFXIII but above all the battle system was amazing imo. It was very unique and it had a lot of options to aproach your enemies. Also graphics were great as well, the only thing I found here to be a bit of a pain was the story. I played almost all older FF games and still liked this one a lot. I think it was a great game overall.
Carttagos
By the time I played FF XIII, it was really nice but obviously when you finish the game you realized what's wrong with this game. It's completely different from others FF and I think that's why people dislike FFXIII from previous FF. PD: This game was my second plat. Terra
I had plenty of issues with this game. For one, I found the story to be overall weak and confusing times. What didn't help it was the characters which besides Fang and Sazh (and MAYBE Lightning) either had their pitch sit to a permanent whine or refused to spout out anything but "heroism" cliches. The paradigm system isn't the worst and I got used to it quickly but you can pretty much spam "Auto-battle" and never have to pick any of your attack options which really lowers the involvement in the battle. I wasn't a fan of how linear the game felt near the beginning but by the end it didn't matter anymore. A flawed Final Fantasy overall but certainly not a horrible game. Would I go back and play it again? Probably not.
Popular Post Lumibella
FFXIII is incredible, certainly one of the best games of the 7th generation. I don't understand all the hate.
TheScruffyton
I've earned the platinum trophy 3 times. Love the absolute hell out of this game.

Beyondthegrave07
The 2nd and 3rd ones are much better IMO. It takes out the laziness of simply changing paradigms at the right time. You can beat any boss buy simply using the right setup. The annoying part that prevents me from the platinum is that grind. Killed 50+ of those long-legged biatches and never got a single trapezohedron!

jasondm300
Any pat on the back for me? I platinumed XIII, XIII-2 and Lightning Returns! It does ake a while but once you actually finish the story, then the real fun begins. I know that may take a while, but the hunts were really fun. If you don't feel like you want to finish it, watch a video of the ending and try XIII-2.
Dragn_Whytefyre
Is this your first Final Fantasy game? Just asking out of curiosity. No. I played VIII and Tactics in the PS1. Actually, I even still have both games, for whatever reason. Think I'll just stick to the Souls games. TheAveryChu
I plan on eventually getting the platinum for the game. The only thing preventing me is the stupid amount of grinding you will have to do.
DizzyDavidson
I wasn't a big fan of XIII. Got it day one and it took me 6 months to finish just the story. Then another 2 years I think to go back for the plat. Weirdly enuff, when I went back for the post-game stuff, the game was a lot more enjoyable... but not that much as XIII is still my least fave FF. I got XIII-2 sitting on my shelf staring at me, I don't know when I'll touch it, tho I hear it's better.
starcrunch061
It sucked. So did its sequels. You have made a wise decision. I wasn't a big fan of XIII. Killing turtles over and over was actually better than the story. I actually though XIII-2 was worse. FF XIII wasn't good, but at least it tried new things. XIII-2 feels like it was made by focus group.

Honestly, I doubt I'll ever know firsthand.Supposedly XV on PS4 is going to be spec-damn-tacular, so I MAY give that one a shot. Other than that, I might be done with FF. sephiroth4424
Death spell is needed only if you try to kill Neochu early for the growth egg.Just level up and try to mix paradigms. From chapter 11 to 13,many things are hard to kill comparing the previous chapters since you will be underleveled.Try RAV/RAV/SAB.It's very underrated
MMDE
Pretty easy platinum though, doesn't take that long either if done properly.

You might have read some of my posts! Anyway, hold off on XV until it drops in price. I feel like that game has disappointment written all over it.

yellowwindow7
after I played and beat FFXII on the ps2 and fall in love with it, I got really excited about XIII and when we got a ps3 I found a used copy of XIII and pick it up right away..... game run directly from the disc, no install what so ever. on of the best looking JRPG out there on ps3, if not the #1 best looking on the system. well, the entire game is just a glorified tutorial mode, they got rid of what made RPG's.. well, RPG's in the first place. talking about no leveling system, no NPC interaction, no huge world to explore. and replace all that with some unnecessary Mish Mash gameplay ideas been throwing together and the game will force you to use them if you wanted to go farther in. I was stupid thinking that this will play like XII and even better, I reach somewhere that looks like a parking lot underground, or I believe it was a metro area and got stuck on the boss fight there, since that day I never played this game again, I wish if I can delete the trophy list of this game for good, but since I collected some trophies out of it before quitting i better keep it on my list.
