This news makes you wonder if the rumor of the RDR2 reveal closing out Sony's E3 show were indeed true.

Maybe, but didn't see anything in the trailer that would've caused it to get pulled...unless they changed it.

Is Sony pulling off this bullshit again after Destiny? Seriously, why locking the XBOne people out of content? (rethorical question)

I hate exclusives. Everyone should be able to play everything.

It's not forever.

No. They've been confirmed false like a hundred times now.

Without exclusives the market breaks. It sucks but it is what it is.

PC has some "exclusives" (mostly games that wouldn't translate to consoles,) that are worth noting as well. This is of course a big distinction between what happens between the consoles, where it makes perfect practical sense to publish games on both consoles, but there are certain financial incentives that get in the way.

I am pretty set against exclusives. I think it would be a better competition if the companies had to use customer service/superior consoles/fantastic perks as an incentive rather than that just relying on brand ("franchise", how I hate that word but I think it fits best here) loyalty to pick up guaranteed sales from people who can't live without Gears or Ratchet and Clank.

Besides the timed exclusivity for some online content, I think the other big takeaway here was this:

In addition, the PS3 classic Red Dead Redemption will be coming to PlayStation Now soon.

basically confirming that there won't be a RDR Remaster. I know The Last of Us was remastered and is still on PSNow to this day, but with this and the fact that RDR is also backwards compatible for Xbox One, I think it's pretty safe to say we won't be seeing RDR:Remastered on PS4, except for Red Dead Revolver.

After what Microsoft pulled last generation with the Xbox 360 and its exclusives (and the constant RROD fears), good.
