Auto-create a trophy thoughts thread for new games?

I did not find a suggestion like this in the search engine. Is it possible to have a Trophy discussion thread automatically generated when a new trophy list appears on the site (and be pinned)? Could the forums handle something like that?

I think this would be cool so that people are not constantly creating"trophy thoughts" threads and could even open to being a place where people can discuss how to earn certain trophies or find help for boosting though you should already know how to do that! (kill 2 birds with 1 stone ideally).

Just thought I'd share the idea if it was possible.

There are dozens of games added daily to the site, we would probably need a forum bot for that. But honestly, it's always a guessing game and any guess is as good as the next. Thing is, do we really need those threads, like at all?

I've only made like two just because I personally want to get people's opinions on how difficult a trophy list for a specific game that I was interested in buying would be. Plus I like to ramble on about trailers, gameplay, etc..  but definitely not all the games that are thrown out there deserve threads like this.

I get what you saying but It's nice to have members on this site creating such threads "trophy thoughts" themselves. More member involvement then having a robot way of doing it. I for one are one of those members who have created a few "trophy thoughts" for games. So that's just my 5 cent opinion

Ehhhh... It's an ok idea but I see some problems with it.

 

One major problem is that it could flood the Recent Topics section at the top right of the forum, especially on Tuesdays when new games come out. I guess this could be fixed by making the bot's posts not count toward that place, but that depends on the ability of the forum software.

 

Another problem is the Krinkle Krusher problem. There are lots of games that have multiple trophy lists and having a trophy thoughts thread in each of their subforums would be redundant. In the case of Krinkle Krusher, there'd be 10 trophy thoughts threads for a single unique list since there's a different trophy list for each platform and each region. Usually the mods will lock up duplicate trophy thoughts threads if there's one made in another subforum, so this seems like it'll be a lot more work for them, especially when the new site update comes out and all the lists that are currently in Japanese and Korean will be renamed and (probably) have their own forum thread.

This line of suggestion would largely go unused. There are other trophy related sites that have this function and 9 times out of 10 no one ever posts in them, usually because the game in question isn't really notable enough for such a discussion. I'd rather an individual make a thread about it if anything because from the start, you'd likely have more substance in that case as opposed to what a bot might write and the topic would have a more natural flow of conversation. Usually if a topic is made on 'X' trophy or 'Y' trophy list, it is either a notable highly aticipated game (like Uncharted 4 for example) or a trophy that has an unclear ground on accomplishing such as this discussion on getting Gill Buildin', a trophy that wasn't made clear how to unlock for awhile.
