Popular Post Xel Posted November 2, 2016 Popular Post Share Posted November 2, 2016 Today Square Enix released the Japanese box art for PS4 of the upcoming NieR: Automata, that will be released in Japan on February 23rd, 2017. The box art, that you can see below, was designed by Akihiko Yoshida, and it looks absolutely fantastic. I certainly hope the same is used for the west, but all we can do is to wait. Will it keep the genre bending variety of the first game or is Platinum turning it into a straight up action game? Love the universe, love the music, and love the way the first game turned everything on it's head in NG+; but don't really like the Bayonetta/MGR style of combat (and I realize I am in the minority here). I was concerned about this too, the genre changing in Nier was something I very much enjoyed, something a lot of other games should adopt imo, but from what I can see they have tried to retain this aspect of the gameplay, I've seen numerous camera change-ups, a seamless transition into 2d and, iirc, an isometric view...whether we'll get a text adventure again...we can only hope! 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
